I was able to get a lot of new info on hashking and his relatives, it's pretty extensive, including social security number and assets owned. It cost me $35. If you guys want to chip in a bit to help offset the cost, it would be appreciated: 1ccJZzraPd5zYCNwd5KivKkAqwEag8t1P
PM me for a copy of the info.
Edit: Just to be clear, I am not selling this info, if you were scammed by hashking just pm me for it. Any donations to that address are voluntary and will all go to the investigator who helped me.

Likewise, I'm willing to pay 500BTC to anyone who can help bring him to justice and recover at least half the BTC he owes.

?
My sentiment exactly. The last $400 got reversed by paypal for fraud as well. Too bad goat is not around to tell me how much he told me so.

Let me know how hoarding works out for you. In my experience there are so many reasons to cash out or invest bitcoins in other projects that hoarding them starts to look like the slowest way to get rich. And if you're looking to get rich, there's no reason to take the slow lane.
Also, it may be the case that when bitcoin gets to $100, it may be because the us dollar has lost an inverse proportion in purchasing power, so you end up with the ability to buy as much as you did before. Lot's of starving millionaires in Zimbabwe.

Do we only fill that out if we reside in IL? Or is it applicable for all?
Applicable to everyone. The reason we need to file in IL is that's where hashking lives. It's easier to prosecute in his home state.

Thanks, the more people we get complaining, the greater chance we have of this being looked into.

What do you think buying $20,000.00 worth of BTC would do to the market? Maybe push it $0.02 cents, at the moment: - http://mtgoxlive.com/ordersHover over the blue line (near the bottom) to see about $20K. It is currently less than a penny above the bottom (spot) value. That's amazing to know and shows how fragile bitcoin really is hanging on a knifes edge if $20,000 can push the price down $0.02. I seen someone cashing that amount in the bank the other day in £50's. Those are only visible orders on one exchange. A lot of volume is transacted outside of gox or in response to price movements.

I think this might be the best approach to discuss when seeking an attorney for more direct claims against hashking: http://www.forbes.com/sites/oliverherzfeld/2012/12/04/what-is-the-legal-status-of-virtual-goods/Also, you will need to find an attorney in the state of Illinois where hashking is located. I have spoken with several lawyers so far but none have been interested in litigating a 'virtual property' case. If anyone finds someone willing to work on this issue, please let the rest of us know. This will not be an easy case, but it is not a closed case either, the law regarding virtual transactions has few precedents.

Do we write down the value of Bitcoins now or at the time Sam stole them?
He was supposed to pay back in bitcoins under the terms of the agreement, so I think it is fair to demand coins be returned. That being the case, the USD value you've been defrauded of is in today's valuation and not when the contract was consummated.

I think it's time for legal action.
Filing a fraud claim with the Illinois Attorney General is a good place to start. It's free and doesn't limit you from further litigation. I recommend everyone affected take 5-10 minutes to print out the fraud complaint form and mail it in. http://www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/consumers/index.htmlHere is the info we have on him to help you fill out the form: RESIDENCE: SAM THEOFANOPOULOS 9344 W VALLEY FARM DR FRANKFORT, IL 60423-6505 BUSINESS: Real People Realty / South & West Suburbs (More) Sam Theofanopoulos 7262 W Benton Dr Frankfort, IL 60423 815-469-7449 708-822-4450 cell phone I don't see a checkbox for btc on the form. Are you sure this the right form. Like I said it will be interesting to see where this goes. I'm done trolling. Good luck guys and gals. That brings up a good point. Please claim the fraud amount in USD based value terms. Just like if someone defrauded you out of a car, you would claim the USD value of that car. Likewise, make sure you claim the USD value of the bitcoins.

I dropped my Nexus 7 a few weeks ago. Sent it in for repair and in the mean time got another tablet. I was just sent a new one as a replacement directly from Asus. It's basically brand new. I am also including the original box.
PM me offers, they're going on ebay for ~200, I'd rather sell it via btc.
You can check my OTC rep in my sig.

I think it's time to look at our fallback options. If hashking owes you money related to his deposit scheme, please pm me your e-mail or contact me directly at alexmat@gmail.comLets building a mailing list of people who have claims against him so we can coordinate our evidence and actions.

Website back up, another payment received. 9 payments so far this month.
Yeah 9 payments that when combined aren't even half of a percent of the amount owed. At the estimated 3 year payoff mark that projects it out to: 36*0.005 = 0.18 or 18% of original principal returned in 3 years time. S&P 500 is looking pretty good right about now
