121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we limit members in one campaign? on: April 08, 2018, 09:46:01 PM

As bounty hunter I think that limits are good for us, cause we can get more distribution not this low cost tokens in every bounty.

Live and let live. Why setting limits where they are not necessary. This kind of limits would mean just less freedom for projects who want many participants. It is up to each bounty hunter that he chooses campaign. I always take into account how many participants are already there and how many I expect to join after me. Then I calculate how many tokens I expect to get, for example 1.5% of bounty allocation.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: April 08, 2018, 09:04:24 PM
Stability is one of the main reasons that people WOULD use Bitcoin. Stability would greatly assist adoption. At the moment, the majority of bitcoin transactions are in the interest of speculation, not purchase for the use of an alternative currency. When both liquidity increases and volatility decreases as a result, we will see much faster and wider adoption.
More liquidity will result in less volatility only when bitcoin will be more decentralized and average trades will not be larger than 1 BTC like they are now. If you look at Bitstamp or whatever BTC/fiat exchange, most open orders are 1 BTC or more which means that whales, or should I say the rich, dictate the price and with orders like 5 or 10 or even 20 bitcoins you can affect the price and cause volatility.
123  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-08] ASIC Resistance Increasingly Hot Topic in Crypto as Monero Forks on: April 08, 2018, 08:40:35 PM
Monero developers tried to avoid the two chains and they hoped that the chain with original algorithm will eventually die, but some people didn't agree so they decided to maintain the original chain and call it Monero Classic. By the way, there is no info about the forked coin Monero Classic on official website of Monero.
I have mixed feelings about it but first of all, Monero Classic folks don't look credible to me, secondly, I like Monero's argumentation and I agree with them that ASICs would cause centralization.
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 steps for traders on: April 08, 2018, 04:32:41 PM
Can you tell me how to set stoploss in binance? thanks
You have three trading options on Binance, Limit, Market and Stop-Limit. The last one is basically a stoploss when you set it in Sell part. You set the trigger price in first line (Stop), this is the low price when you want to stop your loss and sell before your loss gets even bigger. Obviously you don't want that, you expect the price to grow, but if things don't go as planned, you might want to sell before it plummets even more. So you set this price about 10 to 20% bellow current price. If the price will drop to that price, your order will trigger.
In second line (Limit) set the price at which you want to sell your coins. This should be a little LOWER than the "Stop" price in first line because you want to sell immediately when your order is triggered so if your Limit price should be lower and this way your coins will be sold immediately.
If you set Limit price higher than Stop price, then it could happen that your coins will never get sold because the price will be falling and no one will buy your coins because there are cheaper offers. I suggest that you set Limit price about 2% lower than Stop price.

125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Alpenschilling - Come to the Alps | Lyra2Z | PoW | Smart Masternodes on: April 08, 2018, 04:02:39 PM
Why are you keeping team members kind of anonymous? Just names, no surnames, no photos, no LinkedIn profiles.

You claim to be environment friendly. So why didn't you decide for ERC20 token which would be much more eco option (no mining)?
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICO Alert | A comprehensive list of all active and upcoming ICOs. on: April 08, 2018, 03:50:59 PM
I think IRYO is not finished yet. Just presale ended 4th April. Actual ICO starts in 55 days as stated on their website https://iryo.network/#network
Please fix
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make-believe toy money (Bitcoin) is coming to an end on: April 08, 2018, 03:35:36 PM
Hi,

Well your example with the old pokemon card is quite right... And accurate!

Today, such old-fashionned cards can be worth thousands. People still like them and they are not so few to collect them... So those who stuck to it were either lucky enough to find old "garbage" worth buckets, or passionate enough to rediscover such passion...

I don't say that it will be the same for bitcoin. Maybe, it is indeed dying. But I know for sure that your example is especially badly chosen..  Undecided
I was thinking the same. Base set Charizard holo is worth thousands of dollars.
And decline in price doesn't necessarily mean that something is dying. Actually I am convinced that blockchain has never been more alive than it is now. Some countries are planning to implement blockchain to healthcare and other national systems. And bitcoin will survive as long as people will find new ways to use blockchain technology.
128  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-07] George Soros Prepares to Trade Cryptocurrencies on: April 08, 2018, 10:23:29 AM
George Soros is a well known "bear" ,when it comes to trading financial assets. If the news are true and he really starts to trade cryptos, I think that we might witness a bearish market for the next 6 months,or even more. His theory about dictators ,who are going to adopt bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is a joke.
Most dictators aren`t smart enough to embrace bitcoin and the blockchain technologies. They want only gold and big weapons(for mass destruction) Grin.

That bear will have to acquire some cryptos first to be able to profit from them. That's unless he's willing to put his money in one of the hedge funds and hope they'll manage it for him, but I really doubt that a manipulator like him would take the easy way. One thing is certain, there's going to be a huge pump at some point that either sparks a new bubble or ends with a bull trap. It just can't go any other way with so many whales getting attracted to this. First it was Jamie Dimon who was calling it a bubble and then started trading, now Soros...
Also it's worth mentioning that Soros has no ethics. He was one of the people behind the Ukraine crisis.
I doubt that he bought significant amount of bitcoins when they were cheap (that is before August 2017). Soros even called Bitcoin a bubble in early 2018. So he will need to buy bitcoins now, if he wants to trade. So I don't understand why some people are afraid of Soros entering the market.
People seem to really dislike Soros for political reasons, but so far I didn't see any proofs that he was behind Ukraine civil war in Donbass or migrations from the Middle East to Europe in last two years. People just make that up.
129  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [05-04-2018] Japanese Government Reviews Proposal to Legalize ICO on: April 06, 2018, 04:15:48 PM
Legalize is the wrong word I reckon. The better and more accurate word would be to regulate. To which I have mixed feelings of, because the community is giving up some control of the cryptospace and offering it willingly to the government. We already know how corrupt governments can be.

Totally agreed. When it comes to government they won’t just look and do nothing, but to regulate. Legalising cryptocurrency without any restrictions is an impossible scenario and are mostly a limited time strategy, but slowly be changing in putting up one rules at a time.

Even we welcome a change of heart into ICO and we might agree about regulating it for the security of the investors. Hope anonymity and decentralized nature of it, remains.
Cryptocurrencies like BTC or Monero are different thing than ICO (tokens). ICO is more like company and tokens are shares of that company and they should be regulated. While minable cryptocurrencies are not companies so they don't need regulation.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOC - Sports Online Competitions on: April 06, 2018, 01:02:15 PM
You are talking about self-financing of athletes OR SPORTS FANS, I understand how the athletes will earn tokens, what about fans?
Are you planning to release whitepaper?
How many SOC tokens is total supply?
What price per token?
Please add timeline to your roadmap, at least month and year for each milestone.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Are now in UP TREND! WHALES news!! on way to 7k+! on: April 06, 2018, 09:31:54 AM
That means the right thing to do is to buy now as there is a great probability that upward price movement is going to resume. One thing that keep on encouraging me is that bitcoin has a potential for grow and that is the most important.  If we are familiar with assets price movement we would agree that the bearish market is almost over.
What do you mean upward trend? Yesterday the price stabilized but this morning it fell to 6600 ish again. I'm hodling too, but I'm not gonna advise investing in this moment
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit Withdrawal on: April 04, 2018, 08:34:36 PM
i withdrawal GAME (GameCredits) total 650$. be 3 week and i still waiting. yobit did not send. but write completed transfer.. my balance zero. i cant contact yobit bcz dont reply tickets. what can i do Sad

Whenever a coin has a fork, it seems like yobit is always slow to update their wallets.

I think that's the reason why you are having witdrawals issues right now.

There honestly isn't a whole lot you can do in this situation. Yobit is known for its horrible support and it's not going to get any better just for your case. You should definitely still raise the issue with support, otherwise they may think that it's actually a completed transfer like the status says. Other than that, you just need to wait for yobit to update their Gamecredits wallet and for everything to return to normal.

I'm sorry that you've landed yourself in such a bad situation, but that's yobit for you.
Was there a new fork of GameCredits? As far as I know the last fork was so called Network Fork on 9 March 2018 so after almost one month, I am sure even YoBit updated their wallets. I think there was too low fee or some other problem that requires manual check and manual transaction so he will have to wait till it will be your turn and someone from support will read your ticket. Sometimes you can speed up this if you comment on their Twitter or Facebook, but if you see many other people doing the same and they didn't get any answer, then don't expect that this method will bring you success.

Did you ask other people, if they also have problems with GAME withdrawals? Once I was waiting for 10 days for my withdrawal from Cryptopia but people were saying that they did wait longer than usually, but they received withdrawal after few hours. When I heard that, I was calmed because I knew that Cryptopia didn't steal my money or lost coins because of wrong transaction/old wallet, but they just need to manually push my transaction. And after few days, about 2 weeks total time, I finally got my coins and they replied to my ticket that they apologize and they fixed the problem now.
So keep faith!

Signature campaign - spreadsheet - Why Members have 4 stakes, it should be 3 because they can't have avatar due to forum restrictions.
And I should have 13 stakes if I understand correctly.
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC dropping every week? on: April 02, 2018, 12:02:29 PM
Mining:
The cost to mine new Bitcoins affects the price. The cost of mining depends on: electricity, hardware, and maintenance. Miners calculate these costs and sell their Bitcoin for a premium to be profitable. A miner won’t sell his Bitcoin for less that the production cost unless they are running low on cash. New coins only enter the system through mining. Mining generates new coins as an incentive for proof of work. This process generates new coins at a fixed rate. The number of bitcoins in circulation at any time is calculable.etc
Right, but how does this cause downward trend of Bitcoin price? By logic, it should increase the price over time, because difficulty is increasing and miners will not want to sell bitcoins with loss and this should increase price because the supply is limited.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GAME] [ETH] . 🔥🔥🔥 💥 Introducing the ZeroSum Game 🔥🔥🔥 💥 on: April 02, 2018, 11:56:08 AM
Here in the ANN it says that service fee is 2% but on the website it says 3%. My opinion is that both are too much. 1% should be enough. Or maybe keep 3% for now but make a promise that you will lower fee to 1% when there will be more than 1 ETH daily volume.

Anyway, I like the idea!
136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Official investments in bitcoin. on: April 01, 2018, 07:38:06 PM
I think this can be solved in a similar way that companies deal with lockboxes / safes. A person who is responsible needs to sign an agreement/contract that he will not use if for personal benefit. If he does, they can take his house, put him in jail and so on.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: April 01, 2018, 07:32:11 PM
Sia seems very cheap at the moment i think this is the bst time to get in, if you don´t have filled your bags already. Soon the rocket will start again, for sure. Sia is still at the beginning and will grow a lot.
Siacoin seems to have these good and bad cycles on approximately 6 months. Last spike was in January so we will need to wait till late May or June I think.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where does bitcoin end up this year on: April 01, 2018, 07:22:32 PM
Many countries are mentioning July as the month when they will release cryptocurrency regulations. This could skyrocket the price or bury it for years. I think the first option is more likely because governments have already said many times that they are aware of potential of blockchain technology.
139  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-31] Bitcoin Records 7% Increase as Cryptocurrency Market Rebounds on: April 01, 2018, 07:18:28 PM
Quote
The market demonstrated a necessary rebound from the $250 billion mark, and major cryptocurrencies like bitcoin have been able to sustain their resistance levels, even though volumes still remain relatively low across all cryptocurrency exchanges.
Volume is the key here. As long as the trend will be downward, the volume will decline as well. And this is not good for the whales so they will start pumping again in order to invite disappointed investors back.
140  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-31] Kazakhstan Preparing to Prohibit Crypto Trading and Mining on: April 01, 2018, 05:41:14 PM
I think the tittle be rightfully written in “Central Bank of Kazakhstan”, it looks to me that the government is not the one planning on prohibiting trading and mining. The CEO of national bank can only propose any legislation to the lawmakers and not the other way around. Can we expect a good statements from this bankers, not without biases. Not until the law is passed and signed this is not finalised.
Nazarbayev is a very authoritarian ruler. Therefore, you can rest assured that the bankers voiced Nazarbayev's thoughts in their own words. Most Muslim countries have a negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies. Kazakhstan is not an exception to the rules. Every nation has a ruler that it deserves. Cryptocurrencies give advantage only to free people.
I am really surprised about this news because not too long ago, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the president of Kazakhstan, proposed global cryptocurrency G-Global. Not just that, I've read that he is generally pro-crypto.
