1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Which is the best pool for mining? - A guide for choosing the right pool on: November 09, 2011, 12:48:26 AM
Nice guide, thanks!

One thing I'd like to add on the backup pool section is that when choosing 1st backup pool it's worth considering one of the PPS pools out there. At least for me when I'm mining on a stable pool for a day I still get up to 40 or so shares submitted to my 1st backup pool, for some reason or another. And if that pool was score based or proportional, I'd get diddly squat for my shares, but on PPS pool I'm getting at least something. And given time it all adds up. =)
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox/TradeHill SierraChart bridge - Realtime Bitcoin charts [v0.3] on: October 29, 2011, 09:53:24 PM
when i try to run the sierrachartfeed-0.3.exe it says its not compatible with my windows version, win 7 64 bit. no luck with compatibility modes either. aminotdoingitrite?

edit:

*ahem* i think what might be wrong. i get 404 trying to load the sierrachartfeed-0.3.exe and i accidentally saved the actual link as an executable, heh.

would the namecoin thing be similar to the bitcoin in the way that i dont have to have the namecoin exe running at all times to get the rewards? i mean i have the thing set up and i've generated an address for myself, which i have saved in my profile.

what i mean is that can i just simply forget about the whole thing for a while, and then someday fire up the exe, catch up with the blockchain and see if i have any coins in my namecoin wallet?
