edit: hehe.. you think you could define the bijection? i am literally incapable of doing anymore math today. my brain is reeling

463  Economy / Services / Re: Solve these 3 math problems and get 0.1 btc (set theory-not too difficult) on: May 02, 2015, 07:39:16 AM
For problem 5, does this work?

f(i,j)=(i−1)n+j

where i goes from 1 to m and j goes from 1 to n

yea i think thats exactly right as a matter of fact.. could you just be a little more explicit for defining the bijection of m and n with respect to f(i,j)?
464  Economy / Services / Solve these 3 math problems and get 0.1 btc (set theory-not too difficult) on: May 02, 2015, 07:15:45 AM
As the title claims.. first person to post correct solutions for all three problems will receive 0.1 btc. if someone submits correct answer for any 1 of the three they will receive 0.025 btc from me and 0.66 btc will remain on the remaining 2.. same idea if 2 are solved, such that the remaining problem will have a 0.33 bounty

i need the proof of proposition 6.7 as described here:

I need exercises 5 and 6 from here:

good luck!

so i "upgraded" the firmware on my terraminer to later version which as it turns out was a terrible idea. as such i am pretty dire need of the 0.7.6 firmware specifically as i know my miner likes that flavor. i'd be willing to offer a small reward to anyone that provides it
thanks!

475  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 08:32:54 PM
actually, i retract the bit about "someone controlling the accounts" and leave the part about so long as the "money hasn't been run off with"
476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 08:30:02 PM
off the top of my head.. how about they ask the account holder who they got the account from? if they name someone besides myself then thats something to investigate either on my end or theirs.. or how about who held the account 1 moment and then who held it the next? if there is an obvious lack of evidence of fair play... im thinking emails or some kind of backstory.. linking the events than maybe something is off? but if your admin of some site then fuck should u care i guess so long as someone is controlling the accounts and the money hasn't been run off with..

its a security breach either on the host or client end, either way admin should be concerned..

assuming thats what happened
477  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 04:42:18 PM
If they are a ponzi.. Which is not something i will assert judgement on here
478  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 04:38:20 PM
yes just 1 small correction. i didnt create a ponzi.. i created a ponzi account. no big deal just some linguistics
479  Economy / Service Discussion / BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 11:02:06 AM
I was a recent owner of a btcflood account that had been hijacked from my control less than a week after I had acquired it interestingly, just hours before it was due its first payout. After first noting this, I established contact with the admin of the site and it is this correspondence that is copied below, of which I have omitted all personal information. I will avoid making any value judgement or claims, and let you all make of it what you will. For the most part, you all seem to be quite a smart bunch of fools :p

I will add that the email address of the alleged hijacker did not register in their systems a few days after I began to pursue this issue with them, though in hindsight I should have tested it immediately. A cursory google search did reveal the gmail address to be associated with a credit card scammer/hacker, and later communication with this person did provide some more than cursory evidence of his innocence (albeit far from definitive proof).

Sorry its in reverse chronological order. Blame Google.

From this point there was no more response from the admin...

Honestly, I would be fine to prove to you my identity with the satoishis and for you to shut down the account even without giving the bitcoins to anyone. Just knowing that bastard did not manage to take all my money would be some consolation for me. If i can prove this would you not just destroy the payout requests?

I am not asking for any refund.. Only for my account back. Would verifying the wallets not verify the account's value is mine? Do you not agree that this cannot be a scam on my end in such a case? I cannot claim anything from any credible source if I do not hold the wallets generating the accounts value and as such only myself-as the current holder of the account if you return my stolen property-would necessarily be capable of that. Its logically impenetrable no?
Please understand what has happened on your service. I am not trying to scam your organization to give me anything not already compromised. Look up <redact> for 2 minutes on google and you will see who you are dealing with.
Thank you

Hello again,

Yes, maybe you can prove you own the wallets, then you will suggest we should refund and the current user (which can be again you) will not be paid and will ask for clarification. From our point of view this can be a good trick to scam our system. Hope you understand!
Acting like this means we do not respect our users and our system. This could cause the undesired precedent. You are not the first user trying this strategy. This is why we will always pay to the address on file at the date of the payment.
Or maybe you are honest and you really lost your account. We can not tell. If you lost your account we can help only by resetting your password using the email on file.

Wow he is such a liar. He did not pay for anything and stole my
account while i was sleeping but i have no way to prove this so i
guess its just my word against his. I can show you the auction where
I bought this account (https://cryptothrift.com/redacted) but I dont suppose this any real proof though you can message
<redact> (the user on cryptothrift ) and he can confirm his account
was <redact>if you want to give this a real investigation.

Hello,

After contacting the actual owner of the <redact> account I've
found out that he bought his account and also he asked me to believe
him and offered full support in solving this situation because he
cares about his funds.

This situation can be his or your attempt to steal BTC from us by
sending them to the wrong person or a simple attempt to withdraw
personal deposited funds from our system before term. Because
deciding in your favour can create a precedent by changing the rules
and the payment procedure, we decided we will not do any change. The
system will pay as always only to the payout address on file at the
time of the payment and respect the data of each account.

As admin I am not providing here any arbitration service and your
personal security issues is not under my control. If this is a real
problem and not a simple withdraw attempt then I suggest you to
solve your problems with the other part involved. You already have
some data from my first support email. From my point of view the
user that can verify that has access to one account has full
support.

Hey, I would just like to check up on the status of this issue. I
am
wondering also what can be done once you do realize that a hacker is
currently holding my account, and if there is any way you can restore
it to me. I am both ready and capable of providing any evidence you
can require although besides what I have given I dont know what else
could work. Please let me know of any developments, although I am
probably rushing this, as well as you, and I do apologize. I am trying
to not take this so hard, but this is a real blow to me.

At the very least, would you be able to stop payouts to this thief if
we cannot close this matter by the next one?
It kills me to see my money evaporating like this.

Thank you,

Hello,

I just have the data on file. Ownership of the account is not my
decision but because you provided valid data and you obviously had
access to the account I've contacted by email the current owner
asking for explanation.

I will contact you as soon as I have any news.

Hello,

First of all please understand that keeping your account details
safe is your responsibility.
People do change emails and payouts soon on our website because the
accounts are not free and people sell them for BTC.

User <redact> is registered on http://www.btcflood.com
. If you
are the owner you can change your password by accessing your e-mail.
I've just sent you the reset email. Your registered email on file
is: <redact>(-note this was not my email)
Your payout address currently on file is:

Hope this will help you regain your access.

Hello,
Last night I was able to login to my account <redact> without any
issues, however this morning neither my password nor any of my
addresses seem to be working to get me into my account. I spoke
with btcflood.com on bitcointalk.org and they told me that the
account no longer has my payout address registered, so I am fairly
certain that someone has managed to hijack it. I believe the account
used to be registered to the email address
<redact> or
this one used here. I can provide proof in the form of transaction ID's for the 2.5
bitcoins I have already deposited into the account. Please let me know
if this can be resolved, and if anything else must be provided.

please excuse any minor typos as i typed this by hand because i

of money into this venture ... i hope this can be resolved and at
least some of my investment recovered.. please help Sad
