try to swap the entire cooler with the good msi armor see if the problem follows the cooler.
Thanks for this! I know it's an old thread (found searching on google) but I had a couple older cards laying around that for some reason ran extremely hot no matter what I did. I tried the usual things like reapplying thermal compound, cleaning dust out, running super low voltages, etc. After finding this I swapped the entire heat-sink cooler with another that ran fine and it worked. Until coming across this post I would have never thought the cooler would be the problem, as its mainly a hunk of metal with two fans attached, which in my case the fans were good. So is it the liquid inside the little tubes that leaks out or what? I might try my luck on eBay and buy some parts-only GPUs for the cooler portion, but how to know if they are good? yes might be liquid inside copper pipe leaked, but i dont think cause to much for rx 470 card which is low power gpu, might be some bent in mounting and die not connecting evenly in heatsink this happen on many vegas gpu. trying to replace with new heatsink to costly for gpu already fall in price |

at this point try to get asic Bitmain Antminer S19 XP Hydro or anything closer you can get in similiar price, for gpu mining 2nd rtx 3070 at 250$ each full setup 9x rtx 3070 all with mobo and everything. more flexible than asic and easy dump on gamer just in case you get bored |

ps5 gpu quite fast is between 6650 - 6700 xt, while gpu bandwith much higher than 6700 xt. the cpu is around ryzen 2/3600 series. this is costing 13500 eur which absolute joke lol you can get 200$ x 12 = 2400 for 6700 xt 2nd, and 3000$ for full setup . dunno what asrock thinking here lol |

todays world xrp and many other old coin isnt good choice, new comers will spur their money to new coin instead. the day for xrp to shine already passed looks many alt already doing 300%+ and xrp only 30% at best  |

after btc correction when etf launch after several days/weeks its last chance entry point for alt. spread acros 14 coin 500$ each to minimize risk
my suggestion convert 50% to btc and 7 alt, wait for alt/btc dumping to bottom, cus alt gonna infinite dumping when btc up in alt/btc pair. in bullrun better trade alt/btc instead fiat

buying asic miner in local store would cost higher than importing but its safer bet and cut times instead waiting you can mine right away, at this point asic better than gpu mining and more stable for long term mining, except it will become brick after couple years instead selling gpu to gamer |

i wouldnt expect karl would hold ton of gpu miner, its just passing by and gone in couple weeks/months. miners need some real big cap coin to handle million gpus out there which is almost imposible this day only bullrun a real answer for gpu miner. |

last time i tried using z87 msi gaming mobo, but isnt worthed for the price pcie splitter + mobo, and quite pain in ass, sometimes crash and annoying to fix it, really annoying i would suggest proper mining mobo and basically cheap + included with cpu. |
