1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA Information. on: March 14, 2012, 04:28:59 PM
The investment payback is nearly 2 years on these boards unless I'm doing something wrong.  Seems nuts with Bitcoin's volatility....
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / AMD update kills Hash rate on: January 06, 2012, 07:52:53 PM
Just ran the AMD update.  Have 3 5850's running clocked at 900/300 1088volts and have been getting 325Mh consistently.  Now....all 3 cards are running under 250Mh.

WTF?
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Connection Problems on: November 18, 2011, 05:43:42 PM
They are both Saphire 5850's running at 900/300/1088 and stay between 70 and 76c.

Thanks for helping! I'm stumped
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Connection Problems on: November 16, 2011, 05:07:12 PM
My rig has 2 5850s and one runs for days without interruption.  The other runs for 5 or 6 hours then has "connection problems"  It is wrecking my productivity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

5  Bitcoin / Mining support / NameError: "USERAGENT" not defined on: November 12, 2011, 05:30:32 PM
I am getting this error on GUIMiner regardless of which pool I try to connect with.  It happened after some trouble and I had to reset the CMOS on the board.

I know it is simple but I can't figure it out.

Thanks for any help....
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin client vs. instawallet on: November 03, 2011, 05:55:21 AM
If I haven't opened my wallet in weeks does it have to run through hundreds of blocks to catch up?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin client vs. instawallet on: November 03, 2011, 05:29:05 AM
Why does in take my installed client hours to receive a transfer when it shows up in instawallet within 2 or 3 seconds?

Hummm... Double checked and it is Celcius but now the fan is at 76% and the temp is 60 C.  How hot is too hot?
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Will minning bitcoins kill your card? on: October 27, 2011, 03:33:26 PM
I got 2 5850's running at 86% fan and 86 degrees F.  Is that too hot?

PSU on my machines is 110w and there is absolutely NO WAY the cards will fit onto the MB!

Oh, well.

Build from scratch!

Thanks for the help.  I did not build these machines and I can't even tell who made the board or its specs.  The slot is labeled, "PCIE16X".

These are new, inexpensive machines from staples.

It is my company, my machines, my electric bill so we are legit there.  I know at current levels this may not be profitable but I believe bitcoins will rise in value soon.  Also, it give me a tax benefit on the business side and lets me move value out of the company so I would like to do it if I can.

All machines are running window 7 and I've installed Diablo Miner on the machines already.  They mine fine off the CPU of course it is ridiculously low hash rates.

I have 5 office machines at various locations that are rarely used but powered up ALL the time.  Each has 1 pci slot available.

Can I throw a 5850 in each of them and let them mine in the background?

And are ATI RADEON 5850 1GB PCI-EXPRESS DUAL DVI VIDEO CARD a good choice for this?
