doesnt seem to matter to much when someone dumps huge into this market,

also buying in that big at 5 its pretty much all gravy and its at the discretion of whoevers in the drivers seat what they do with their coins
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 20, 2013, 08:43:36 PM
people buying 50K+ bitcoin would be foolish not to start selling it off slowly when their bet actually pays off...
doing Number_of_coins * MTGOX_last_price != what you'd get when you finally capitalize on your risky investment.

... just putting up a 50K ask wall would mean 5% or less unrealized "profit" ...

What the hell are you even talking about, first off who is buying 50K+ coins? i would think this is unlikely that it is a trader more likely an exchange of some sort,

I spend bitcoins all the time, im sure anyone who bought in and has made money is as well,

... just putting up a 50K ask wall would mean 5% or less unrealized "profit" ...

what does this even mean, if someone who is trading is putting up a wall that big or selling off that big they believe this is the top of where its going, the profit when somene invests in a move this big is not from putting up the wall itself they are looking to buy back lower,

I dont understand this, if its about how someone is willing to risk 50K coins for a 5% profit that is so dumb bro who the hell is going to do that,
348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 20, 2013, 08:27:21 PM
Man, there is seriously a flood of money pouring into the system right now.  There's never been a better time to sell thousands of BTCs if you have that many.

Is it tho? if you had 1000s of coins you want to pay the fees? you realize that 1000 coinsnow is 29,000 USD, if it drops only a few dollars you stand to gain what a couple grand (IF all goes according to plan)? what if your wrong? now you have to buy back inat a loss, Mind you that this isnt 100s of dollars we are talking about, this loss isnot a loss like a normal average run of the mill income person, this loss is SHITTY,

risk and reward bro, if somene who has that many wants to stab at it for the small gains they are more than welcome to do it,
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 20, 2013, 08:08:53 PM
I can imagine anyone holding a lot of coins will look at the side of the cliff separating us from $30.00 and just sell in anticipation of a correction.

30 is literally a couple big buys away and only 1 more big adoption away from who knows where, Sell off can happen but would probably only build momentum to blast to 31, anyone with alot of coins definitely didnt get there by selling in anticipation.. we shall see

Honestly the price holding up for this long after such a big initial buy speaks volume

if there is a drop in price, I welcome it, I have an overwhelming gutfeeling that if it does drop its only goin to recoop and reach new highs as it did the past 2 times

Ya guys the market is going to drop to 20 dollars because you know thats how shit works it goes up and down... (WRONG)

What makes everyone think that big holders are going to just drop their coins? look a what bitcoin has been doing... it would be fucking MORONIC to sell big holdings at this moment when waiting has proven o give back 100%+++ returns, Why would someone with a shit ton of money waste their fucking time to try to make a few coins but could ultimately FUCK their stack if their wrong?

30 is coming and a new high is most likely coming after that, any one who is saying otherwise Already sold their coins and are doing their best not to be wrong,
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Silver oz price dipping to $29.70 and Bitcoin hitting $27.50, gap closing fast on: February 19, 2013, 09:33:27 PM
When did I ever compare 1 bitcoin to 1 ounce?

I was implying that comparing the 2 markets is a retarded point and ignoring bitcoin just because it is smaller is ignorant,

How long has gold/silver been around in this world in comparison to bitcoin? it has AGES of time before bitcoin

my point was that do you think that gold just started off at whatever X USD you said? no you clown it gradually made its way to where it is now, the stuff is constantly being mined and there is no real determined number of how much there is,

Unlike Gold and Silver, Bitcoin has a determined number of how many there will be in existance, (edit: We know a General Idea of how many there will be in the end), this is a huge factor on why i think if not now then in the end bitcoin will be worth so much more than it is,

You can compare the 2 all you want and say that its a joke but my point is what is stopping bitcoin from reaching the markets that gold and silver is in its own time? nothing. Everyone involved that are the bigger players, (businesses and miners)are presumably here til the end

as I said, there are people who disagree with Everything in this world regardless of the subject, bitcoin is no different

Edit:
I forgot to add in the beginning that I knew you would have trouble understanding, Clown
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Silver oz price dipping to $29.70 and Bitcoin hitting $27.50, gap closing fast on: February 19, 2013, 09:10:58 PM
dude a currency that was made up 4 years ago is priced the same as one that has stood the test of time

No, it is not. that is my point. An ounce of silver is a completely arbitrary comparison point and has zero meaning other than symbolic. It's not like you can have an ounce of bitcoin.

With that said, I have been considering dropping some fiat into some junk silver. Unfortunately, I just put a bunch into steel & rubber and the government is about to come calling for its pound of flesh because I have a place to live.

I brought the point up of our world going to the digital age,

Who gives a shit about the ounce of silver being physical? the only reason that people view that block of gray junk as valuable is because the world knows of it

Bitcoin is no different than if the whole community here was using pooka shells or something as the currency, We (well most) believe that bitcoin has value, not only that we believe that bitcoin has alot more benefits than what is out there now,

Once more people realize this there is nothing stopping the price of bitcoin to be equivalent of the silver market in its own time

Apple during its run up had its bears, Anything in the world has people that disagree/dont believe in it, its just how the way the world woks there are those who disagree, but i believe in this case its only a matter of time before the world may see the true value of bitcoin

If im wrong oh well i lost money, I can make more of it.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Silver oz price dipping to $29.70 and Bitcoin hitting $27.50, gap closing fast on: February 19, 2013, 09:06:22 PM
Do you really think that the silver market started off at that price?

please when you actually think clearly wake everyone else up..

Oh wait were all already awake your the one that is in retarded dream land
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Silver oz price dipping to $29.70 and Bitcoin hitting $27.50, gap closing fast on: February 19, 2013, 08:50:03 PM
dude a currency that was made up 4 years ago is priced the same as one that has stood the test of time

this should seem significant especially if the price hold, if not go higher

anyone holding silver will probably be thinking why the fuck they have this shitty gray shit when they should  have awesome digital bitcoins!!!!!
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: I fell into the bear trap... three times. on: February 19, 2013, 08:35:49 PM
You want to be an efficient trader? here is the best advice that I have taken from trading throughout my time as one

1) When in doubt Just sit out

This is the greatest trading advice Ive ever received, if you have no clear vision of what the market is going do not make a trade, Accept your decision that you didnt want to partake in the market and make a trade when you have more information

2) During rallies or uptrending markets Buy during the downsings, During Downtrending or bear market sell during the rallies, during stable times find another financial vehicle to trade.

prime examples of this would be the last significant sell offs we've seen, since we are uptrending these should be sought as buying opportunities,

Day trading is seriously the biggest headache, Good day traders should except to be right about 50-60% of the time, this alone turned me off to day trading when i first started in markets (not to mention that I was wrong alot). but I think that TA used along side with Fundamental analysis gives you better insight than those who advocate only one,

No one in the world is the same, Those who are good at day trading are tailored to this type of trading, there is no 1 winning trading strategies and more times than not its just being at the right place at the right time,

instead of following the FUD around speculation step back and take a real look at what bitcoin is, its a Digital Financial Asset that many are starting to accept as a form of currency,

I dont know about what everyone else thinks but this world is moving to the digital age, it makes some sense at least in my mind that bitcoin could be the next best thing since sliced bread (who knows though I could be totally wrong I dont care though I believed in bitcoin a year ago and it has progressed so far now the sky is the limit)

Unless you like to day trade, I would recommend trying different things til you find what works for you
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 19, 2013, 07:06:23 PM
People are delusional as FUCK

were you guys not around when bitcoins were ridiculously unstable? when i first got involved in bitcoin it was ABSURD to think that this could be used as a currency in the state it was in, the swings in ONE DAY were crazy, im talking 1 minute it was 11.00 USD and in the next it would be down to 5 USD. back up to 15 in the next minute, no im not saying that this was in few hours of each other,

When I literally say this happened in a 3 minute time interval it is in all seriousness,

To think that this is a bubble is drinking TO MUCH CRAZY JUICE, this is not a BUBBLE, it is what happens when the amount of coins are diversified into strong hands, more and more people come to adoption, and extremely limited supply of bitcoins coming and going,

Also using DEFINITIVE STATEMENTS like NEVER or ALWAYS in trading makes you look FOOLISH,

saying the price will NEVER hit 31 in this month is retarded we have so much of the month left and all it takes is a day for the price to move upward a few dollars

sorry bears I realize you guys have nothing to do all day but you missed you get rich bitcoin train when the price was floating at 2 dollars and when all it took was 1 big player to dump and cause the market to crash to oblivion

358  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23-75-30 on: February 19, 2013, 02:04:42 AM
Lol

Hey OP is this the type of women you like?!

in all seriousness though i think this is a pretty realistic progression but i dont think it would retract so far if it would make it to 75, obviously the time it would take to get there is also up for discussion but realistic,

One good point that was brought up somewhere, Unlike most if not all financial devices/vehicles/whatever your familiar with, we know in the end how many bitcoins will be in existence,  and on top of that there are bitcoins that are being lost in limbo by lost wallet passwords and instawallets probably on a daily basis, meaning the end # is probably going to be significantly lower than the actual known number,

Bitcoin definitely isnt going to stop why? to many people involved that rely on the money

miners certainly arent going anywhere til the last coin is mined, and businesses are being added everyday,

Good things are rewarded to those who wait and patience is a virtue, applies with bitcoin as well!!

360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation to induce panic. on: February 15, 2013, 01:55:19 AM
This is what $600,000 of profit-taking looks like:

AKA how to make 20% in four hours if you knew when to buy and sell.

I really doubt this was one person did you even try to use gox during these times, was near impossible to even load up let alone throw in successful orders
