I have nothing to do with this coin.

You have EVERYTHING to do with this coin!

Hehe, the reason I'm interested in this coin, is because my buddies and I were working on making Goatcoin for giggles, but when I saw this come out I just kind of laughed that we had been beaten to the punch, and felt obligated to mine it.

My version of goatcoin was to be about the animal and Chang Noi Goat. The ultimate goal was to get Goat to accept my goatcoins, and thats about it.

Lol. That would have been fun Grin

whiskers75 Manipulates trust.

Left me bad feedback despite having no reason to do so (or at least not explaining why). We have never had a trade or any sort of interaction that I am aware of.

He did not have a reference.

Yeah for a forced centralized tyrannical "trust" system!

lulz

570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money on DOGE? on: January 11, 2014, 05:39:28 PM
Yes that is true, few weeks the block reward will be half and price will rise up. Whoever mined abd sold directly they are selling so cheap. May be it will go 20-50 fold higher then recent price.

50 fold lol Grin
571  Bitcoin / Legal / Americans can move to Puerto Rico for 1/2 year to avoid Cap Gains Tax? on: January 07, 2014, 06:20:15 PM
Americans can move to Puerto Rico for 1/2 year to avoid Cap Gains Tax?

I keep hearing this. Any lawyers or tax accountants know anything about this?

Thanks.

Edit: Seems to be 0% on new investment and only 10% on any old investments?

573  Economy / Services / [WTB] Person to update and filter BTC / crypto news. on: January 06, 2014, 04:01:54 AM
I need someone to update a private feed on the latest BTC and crypto news.

This person needs to be trusted, understand BTC, and is able to post a link to the source and a brief summery. It would be pretty close to what the Press section has standardized on this forum.

This person should actively read this forum, reddit, and other BTC news publications.

There will be some BTC compensation for this work.

You will not need to be online 24/7 but if you are (like me) it is a plus Smiley

PM me or post in this thread if you have questions or interest.

Thanks.
574  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling my 2 letter domain sv.gd on: January 05, 2014, 12:08:15 AM
The winner, Stunna has been gone for 2 days now, and hasn't responded to the PM I sent him asking for payment a few days ago. The domain is still in my hands, but if Stunna doesn't re-appear for much longer, I suppose I'll have to take some sort-of action, i.e. re-do the auction, or give to the second highest bidder?

I will pay for his bid at 110 if you are oksy with that.
He's replied to me telling me that he's no longer interested and would be fine with you taking his place at $110
At the current price of $65, that'll be 1.7BTC to the address I've sent you in PM, and then I'll discuss the transfer.

Paid 1.7 when btc was 75

Still dont have this domain.

We were able to sort this out. I did in the end get the domain. Not OPs fault for the delay, it was who he had it hosted with. No shock there was a problem there, lol!

576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Physical Litecoins by the Litecoin Foundation on: January 03, 2014, 06:55:17 PM
I am excited for an affordable physical Litecoin.

I do believe the Lealana coins are absolutely gorgeous, but I am also a business owner, and I know what price gouging is.  There's an unspoken markup above wholesale that's considered ethical.  There's a pretty big gray area as well.  But those coins are above and beyond all the gray area, even.  Super disappointing because they are gorgeous with that silver/blue look.  So icy cool Smiley

Hope these will be both affordable and beautiful.

So its been over 6 months already?

-B-

I don't know about that. I thought about minting my own physical coins and the prices from mints were pretty far above "spot". To get a price anywhere close to "spot" required a purchase of a really enormous amount of precious metal up front and a commitment to a large number of coins. At that point the business plan of a physical litecoin/bitcoin company becomes more precious metal speculation and less minting coins, because the value of your stock can fluctuate so dramatically while you're waiting to sell them.

That said- I do have to question the wisdom of loaning the project 25,000LTC to get this done. That's a lot of money. Personally I would imaging that money better spent doing something like getting a working payment processor going, or a litecoin version of blockchain. But thats just me I guess.....

I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Yes, other things are good too:)   Who is to say these are not being worked on as well?

The payment processor issue is not a technical one, but a legal one. Every time a new ruling comes out on crypto we get to pay lawyers to redo what they have done. Fun stuff. Trying to operate legally in the USA is almost economically unfeasible.

The hard part, the dies look like they will all be at the mint tomorrow assuming all goes well.

This project is alive and yes, our goal will be to make this coin economical.

Our certificates will be hand printed and really look awesome. Hopefully the coins will match!
578  Other / Meta / gmaxwell, his libel, being a ----- and the 200 BTC bounty. on: January 02, 2014, 10:41:39 PM
As many of you know Gregory Maxwell libeled me and my pool operation a few years ago and suggested it had connections to child porn, drugs, guns and money laundering. He had no evidence for this and was completely uncalled for.

My response to this was to put a bounty on evidence linking him to the crimes he had accused me off. Shockingly the number of offers for evidence connecting him to being a "-----" and involved in --------------- was shocking. It seems he is well known in that circle and there is a lot of evidence. I however have not seen the evidence directly myself but the number of people who have come out with this, something I had not asked for is just startling.     ( I censored this as I have not seen the proof )

Also I have had someone willing to claim the 200 bounty linking Gregory Maxwell to child porn. The terms offered would be to use escrow and the BTC would only be released after G Maxwell had been arrested. I personally feel that this person, despite claiming the evidence is real, would be fabricating the evidence and would try to frame Maxwell. Again I have not seen the evidence but I find it hard to believe. I am not going to pay for this and feel that it would be best to call off the bounty.

What I was trying to do was show that accusations and slander really do hurt people and one should stand behind what one claims. I was not trying to destroy his life.

I have had run ins with several members on this forum, including many staff. Most of the time we have been able to resolve our differences and a few of the staff members have even apologized for their actions. We have been able to move on and I consider many of them now friends.

I'm going to be the better man here gmaxwell and just leave this. If you want to apologize for your actions it would be well received. If you think what you did was morally correct then we will have to agree to disagree on the matter.

Either way I hope that in the future you are willing to think about what you say before you make personal attacks that could destroy the lively hood of a person.

Happy New Year.
