12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Team Fortress 2 as a payment processor for Bitcoins. on: June 28, 2011, 03:28:59 AM
Doesnt second life process payments and such in kind of a similar way and let you cash out?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox flash-crash rollback - Requesting full disclosure or referal to SEC/JSDA on: June 21, 2011, 03:54:42 PM

who regulates the regulator?
Governments.
And people elect governments (in democratic countries at least).
That is not perfect, but still a better control structure than the current case of a totally uncontrolled exchange who can decide to rollback USD 8M of transactions without proper justifications.

Because they have been really good at managing their currency in the past, right, so some state sponsored regulator will do even better?
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox flash-crash rollback - Requesting full disclosure or referal to SEC/JSDA on: June 21, 2011, 05:47:46 AM
They are unregulated.

Vote with your bitcoins. If you want regulation, tell them and don't use mtgox until they sign on some 3rd party to regulate them. if you don't, continue using them.

who regulates the regulator?
15  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: ★ Microsoft Products | Legitimate | Lifetime Guarantee! ★ on: June 20, 2011, 05:39:39 AM
Are these retail boxes/real disks (according to the microsoft website which shows official vs counterfeit)/burnt disks?

Are these upgrade keys, or keys for full install? Is this 100% what I would get if I walked into a store and bought a packaged version of windows 7?
16  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Clever tricks starting to appear: buying and selling on: June 10, 2011, 03:19:19 AM

18  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [POOL] [BETA] SimplyBTC.com Mining Pool [2% fee, JSON-API, LP, USA-Dedi] on: June 10, 2011, 01:54:12 AM
Everything running smoothly now. Just needed to restart pushpool.
19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [POOL] [BETA] SimplyBTC.com Mining Pool [2% fee, JSON-API, LP, USA-Dedi] on: June 09, 2011, 05:16:52 AM
I'm contributing 1 GH/s to the pool right now, but I'm currently mining for another pool. So I'll stop for 1-2 days...once that pool finds another block I will switch over to this one.

I'll be back on Thursday.

Thanks for your support.

As for pool hopping, I still see that users are compensated for the shares they submit, each share has the possibility of solving the block so each one should be valued accordingly.

If enough users find pool hopping to be a problem, I will cater to them and implant a different scoring method.

For now, I would like to see us solve our first block, and take it day-by-day to make the changes our members think are right.

Thanks!

Tx
