2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Power Consumption on: November 18, 2018, 08:26:46 AM
I think this problem could be solved by the RIG developer itself.
Such as nvidia and amd, they should create a powerful vga with low power, so bitcoin mining will not consume not so much energy

The short-term results of the company are a reflection of the excess channel stock after the cryptocurrency boom. This will be corrected over time. In other words, the prices of Nvidia's graphics cards increased due to cryptocurrency-mining-insanity. However, once that demand had disappeared, prices fell too slowly to attract customers who were waiting for more affordable cards.

Nvidia's inventory increased to $ 70 million in the third quarter ( 62 million). This was one of the reasons for the decline in Nvidia's gross margins. The margin decrease is also attributed to $ 57 million ( 50 million) in costs related to the company's previous generations of chips after the dive into the demand for cryptocurrency mines. The shares of Nvidia have now dropped by about 16%.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now are asking for too much on: November 18, 2018, 07:51:50 AM
So far, in 2018, there has been a downward feeling in relation to the ecosystem of ICOs, with the great majority of them being traded below the initial price presented.

19% of people are very confident about the industry's initial currency offerings, while 36% remain neutral.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The founder of Ethereum warns of false information. on: November 17, 2018, 08:39:06 PM
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has issued a personal Twitter alert about a newspaper that has misinformed his views on elections in West Virginia. Rumors are that the state will be the first to adopt online voting through blockchain technology.

During the mid-term elections in 2018, 144 military personnel were stationed overseas from 24 provinces. Through this new platform they could cast their vote through a smartphone. This is a first in the world.
The platform was first tested during the first general elections in April. During this test, a limited number of voters, including soldiers, could remotely vote via their smartphone.

Voatz, as the system is called, was originally developed to increase voter participation among military personnel.

Everything went smooth.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Malicious cryptocurrency apps found on the Play Store? on: November 17, 2018, 07:26:16 PM
Applications were going through crypto-coins portfolios for NEO, Tether and an extension to access Ethereum (ETH), MetaMask. They were designed to violate users' mobile bank credentials and credit card information. After the phishing application is installed and launched, it prompts you for the private password and password of the user's wallet.

False Crypto address wallets created a new wallet generating a public address and private key - which are required to securely send and receive digital currency - but they only displayed the public address of the attacker without user access to the private key. Thinking that the application generated the public address, users deposited their funds in this wallet, but could not withdraw them, because the private key belonged to a cybercriminals.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF Request for Comment: 97% Positive on: November 17, 2018, 04:49:52 PM
VanEck is a New York-based investment management company that in partnership with the Chicago Board and Option Exchange (CBOE) and blockX technology company SolidX has launched a Bitcoin ETF proposal, the most solid and possible proposal to be approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States (SEC).

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter banned cryptocurrencies Ads on: November 15, 2018, 07:57:33 PM
Twitter has been on the losing end of an ongoing battle with scammers who are taking advantage of the platform's user base to steal crypto coins. However, the company revealed that it has implemented some measures in an attempt to reduce the frequency of these scams and better protect its users and ads.

The social media platform known to limit discussion to 140 characters has fought a growing trend in which cybercriminals kidnap accounts - often verified accounts - of big brands, big celebrities, and executives and entrepreneurs in the cryptocurrency sector, providing spam ads.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Power Consumption on: November 15, 2018, 02:47:22 PM
In July, American Express Travel Services Related Co. registered another patent for a blockchain-based system that would automate payment proofing by encrypting payment data with a public key on an opening node of a blockchain.
Archiving describes how the system allows a user with a mobile device to capture the image of a receipt. The system then, deciphers the image and combines it with the database on the transaction history.

So the discussion of power consuming is not applied to Banks and that kind of financial organization??

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cobra: Bitcoin ABC Will Lose the Hash War on: November 15, 2018, 01:08:00 PM
This hardfork seems to be the biggest culprit at the moment. Another reason for the crash is the extremely low trading volume. The Bitcoin exchange rate is stuck and that creates little confidence among cryptocurrency investors. The official version has been developed by Bitcoin ABC, while a majority of minors supports Bitcoin SV instead, the version developed by the Craig Wright company called nChain.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ACC] AdCoin - Digital Advertising Currency on: November 14, 2018, 08:52:24 PM
Moving to PoS with masternodes solves the current problems with the blockchain and ensures that it remains fast, cheap and stable in the future. To run a masternodes requires at least 100,000 AdCoin to be available for setup, and that s a pretty good investment.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 13, 2018, 08:22:28 PM
In a recently released quarterly report from Ripple, an enormous upward potential can be seen. The turnover of XRP tokens has more than doubled in the third quarter of this year. This is a sign that the price can also rise considerably. The doubling of turnover is mainly due to institutional investors.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH better or BCH ? on: November 12, 2018, 09:19:31 PM
The Bitcoin Cash roadmap includes upgrades to its main code every six months, but disagreements over some changes in the network have raised the specter that two distinct branches of the cripto-coin could take shape, as two implementations - Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV - are being placed. forward by competing teams. Although the result is unclear.
17  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-03] Millionaire Will Build Blockchain Smart City in Nevada on: November 12, 2018, 02:58:34 PM

18  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency regulation? on: November 09, 2018, 08:08:04 PM
In the United States were the elections for the Chamber of Deputies, from the Senate and the governors of 36 of the 50 states. These elections, which traditionally occur in the middle of the presidential term, are known as midterms, and they have brought excellent news to the crypto and blockchain community.

Two governor-electors in the midterms are openly supportive of the crypto-currency market - the first in the country to be elected to posts of relevance. The first was Jared Polis of the state of Colorado and the second Gavin Newsom of California, the richest state in the country. As future leaders of their states, Polis and Newsom will have the chance to create national examples for dealing with crypto and blockchain. Regulation = Possibility
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Over 600 Public Comments Flood the SEC Website For The CBOE Bitcoin (BTC) ETF on: November 09, 2018, 07:03:23 AM
The momentum of low volatility faced by the cryptoactive market also had an effect on traditional stock markets. The Bitcoin (BTC) futures market traded on the Chicago Board and Option Exchange (CBOE) hit record levels of low volatility in October, in contrast to global stock markets.

The average weekly volatility in the week ended Oct. 26 was only 3% for future XBT-CBOE Bitcoin, the lowest level since they were launched for trading on December 10.

However, in the monthly chart, the October total recorded record levels of low volatility, an average of 6.6%. With this said the ETF is around the corner.
