301  Economy / Gambling / Looking for proxy for Matt's pirate bet on: September 08, 2012, 03:32:24 AM
I need someone to make the bet for me since Matt won't accept mine. I'll give you 15% when he pays out. PM me so he doesn't know you're working for me.
302  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Savings and Trust Wikipedia Article Has Been Approved on: September 08, 2012, 02:20:55 AM
Did the article get smaller? Huh
303  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 08, 2012, 02:19:28 AM
Is matthew still taking bet increases?  Closed out several client accounts today.  Can transfer to BTC on request though the xfer would take a few days since it isn't on gox already.

People who aren't willing to roll the dice should stop trolling.  You just look like idiots.  Put at least some skin in the game if you want to mouth off.  it doesn't matter if it's $5 or $5000.
Are you betting with or against him?

And I wanted to bet but Matt wouldn't let me.
304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 08, 2012, 01:22:51 AM
Perhaps the people that are most concerned with Matthew's intentions to follow through with his bet should now take the time to provide proof that they have their side of the bet's funds ready and waiting to be paid out, in case Matthew actually wins ?
Anyone who is upset can obviously prove that they have lived up to their end of the agreement with either proof from a 3rd party Escrow service or deposit, or a coin address that contains the amount that they are personally responsible for, as their wager ?

They are as likely to understand what you are saying as they are to even realize who is posting said rationalization...

so umm, where's your ol' partner, Trendon at?
Are you familiar with the inner workings of BTCS&T?
do explain.. every thing.

ol' partner? I think it's just a pseudonym he used its an anagram of Trendon Sh
It's a pretty obvious anagram, since it keeps the "don sh" from the original.

Everybody calm down...

Well... With ur joke u've transgressed some bounds. I don't wish our community had ppl like u. Say hello to my ignore button.
It's just his tsundere way of saying he's in love with Matt. I mean, who wouldn't be?
307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 06, 2012, 04:30:19 PM
What? I like big ponies.
308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 06, 2012, 04:27:18 PM
You didn't answer my question. Prove I'm a troll or accept my bet. And why wouldn't you want to take a troll's bitcoins anyway, it seems like they're the most deserving of having their money taken? Could it be you secretly know you're going to lose?
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why aren't we, the community, regularly paying the lead developers of bitcoin? on: September 06, 2012, 04:23:22 PM
If the developers wanted to and were able to get Mt Gox and some of the larger mining pools on board, they could roll back the block chain to zero, claiming that since bitcoin was out of beta, they'd need to restart the whole thing. You should be polite to the devs so they don't do this.
310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 06, 2012, 04:21:10 PM
Matthew, tell me how I'm a troll when you're the one with the unstable and histrionic post history? Meanwhile, my post history has been much better outside the pony thread (ponifans have ruined the show for me and I've been posting badly there as a response), I give helpful answers to bitcoiners' questions I'm capable of answering.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why aren't we, the community, regularly paying the lead developers of bitcoin? on: September 06, 2012, 07:05:00 AM
Bitcoin is a labor of love, they do it because they want to take power away from the big banks and big government.
312  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 06, 2012, 07:03:21 AM
Can someone proxy my bet since Matthew is refusing to take it and then mocking me?
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google "bitcoin" and take a GOOD LOOK on: September 06, 2012, 05:46:36 AM
Bitcoin.org has a link to a google search for "bitcoin forums", this site is the first result on that search. Bitcoin.org is the first result on a google search for bitcoin. Problem solved.
314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 06, 2012, 05:43:54 AM
I can't believe you're refusing my bet even though my comment fueled the latest round of betting. How callous of you.

Why exactly are you refusing my bet when it's as good as anyone else's?
315  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 23/459 on: September 06, 2012, 12:31:59 AM
Thanks.

Figures someone takes my name before I can get on. Now I have to use an unsightly _ at the end.
316  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 23/459 on: September 06, 2012, 12:22:41 AM
So where's the Pirate irc, what server and channel? I want to hear what's going on in there for myself.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Romney's tax returns - first Bitcoin extortion? on: September 06, 2012, 12:17:39 AM
This looks like a job for John Goodman and Jeff Bridges.
318  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org is either Down or Running Extremely Slow Today on: September 06, 2012, 12:07:51 AM
I've been having intermittent periods of slowness or downtime on here the past few weeks, it's not just traffic from the Mitt crowd. It usually passes before too long, so I haven't worried.
319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 05, 2012, 05:56:05 PM
Matthew, how confident are you that Priate will pay everyone back? Enough to accept double my last stated bet of 500?
320  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about 10,000BTC Bet (Official) on: September 05, 2012, 05:17:33 AM
Matthew is a lot of things but I do think he's honest.
No idea why he made this bet though.
He's always been a bit unstable. That said, I'm still holding him to his bet. Would the horse track refund his money if he pleaded temporary insanity? Doubtful. Shouldn't make bets if you can't handle the outcome.
