# The current price of bitcoin? Could affect the BTC figure amount?
Absolutely yes. If one account worth 1 million of dollars Tongue (likewise 0,01 btc) who will buy?
Or even who will pay to much for signature?
And if one btc worth 1 dollar, a part a lot of user that "quit" from btc, probably will give a bad impression to all environment.
Small changes can't impact in the actual situation.

# Whether the account has any negative trust especially from default trust users? How about from untrusted feedback?
Some one with DT negative for me it's like a 0 Cheesy you are a sort of scammer/liar you don't need anything.
untrusted feed, need to be read… see mine Cheesy and you take an opinion of what I do Smiley

# Whether there is any green trust or dark green trust?
the same … need to be read… see mine Cheesy and you take an opinion of what I do Smiley

# Whether there are any scam accusations against the username? If they are genuine or false?
a scam accusations have always a bad impact, but you need to read, if some one is accused to some what read it!

# Whether it has been banned anytime?
some time forum could ban for stupid things… .and even you can't know...

# Whether if it has taken any loan?
could happen… is not a "bad" but repaid loan is much better in a history of user Wink

# Whether a signed message is available? possible older the better to prove account is not hacked?
best one proof. and is the only.

# Whether the private key is available of the old staked btc address?
with signed message, and you want it, maybe you want scam Smiley , because you try to impersonate some one … see master-p scam Smiley

# How much the bought account can potentially earn through signature campaigns or avatar campaigns? If there are any free spots on campaigns available?
yes or some give aways… or only take as good and use it!

# The age of the account? Possibly the older the more valuable?
mine opinion, yes! a 2009 account Cheesy is worthless!

# The actual name of the username may be desirable or not? so short and catchy names are higher in price?
depends on your interest…  I think is much better what you write.. than some one start to copy!

# The current activity number and how long until they reach the next rank? Accounts coming up to the threshold worth more than account far away from next upgrade in rank?
a potential activity is balanced by activity.
Well strong one… bad another… you make the price.. there is no a rule….

# The Post quality of the username ? If the posts are at least 100 characters and constructive? Possible mostly 1 word answers devalue?
absolutely yes. 1 word post are terrific Sad

# The account quality in terms of which categories they have posted... i.e. if they have had all posts in gambling? or in many different categories?
some categories are to involved to "bad quality" like economics, speculations, auctions, digital goods, off topic, games and rounds Wink

# If the posts are all in English? or are they mostly in another language? Would this devalue accounts?
depends what language… "poor" countries are always penalized… rich one no…. if you come from germany is different from philippine…. Sad

I hope this clarify Smiley

This are the price for account rank but take in mind that are pretty variable, depends "quality", age of account, potential activity, boards of posting, "nationality" of account Wink

1 = Brand New - 0
2 = Newbie - 0.0001 to 0.005 BTC
3 = Jr Member - 0.005 to 0.01 BTC
4 = Member - 0.01 to 0.07 BTC
5 = Full Member -  0.07 to 0.15BTC
6 = Snr Member -  0.16 to 0.39 BTC
7 = Hero - 0.4 to 0.6 BTC
9 = Legendary - 0.6 to 1.5 BTC ( but here is not a rank question but in "earning" involved)
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- not selling Smiley - or pay 10 - 50 btc

Hi

thanks for your opnion.

Now going through your answers i can say i mostly agree with you as well.

I agree with you that negative trust that comes from untrusted feedback should be studied as it may be false.

yes if someone has the private key....i agree that they could scam like master-p

Lastly in terms of your account prices you have given i think some of them are quite high.

thanks again for your replies.

Thanks
Daniel

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 18, 2016, 09:03:58 PM
I don't think there is a general rule...

If somebody defaults a loan, and i get stuck with the collateral, i usually start from here:
http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php

This price can be influenced by things like: positve/negative trust from trusted/untrusted members, language, postlenght, signed message,...
In the end, i'm always happy if i get bitcoinrates estimated price - 10%

Hi

thanks for the link

I have tested out this website before when it used to be free... i do find the prices that the website gives overpriced by a lot maybe 50% more than what the accounts are actually selling for.

Thanks for you opinion

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 09:15:21 PM
Here is my opinion about the price of various rank member accounts
1 = Brand New - worth nothing
2 = Newbie - 0.0001
to 0.010 BTC
3 = Jr Member - 0.010 to 0.020 BTC
4 = Member - 0.015
to 0.035 BTC
5 = Full Member -  0.05 to 0.1BTC
6 = Snr Member -  0.15 to 0.3 BTC
7 = Hero - 0.35 to 0.7 BTC
9 = Legendary - 0.8 to 1.8 BTC
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- Minus 1 bitcoin of the amount the donated.
I believe the things that effect the price of an account are
1.Quality of post.
2.Potential Activities.
3.Age of Account (when was it created).
4.Ban (if it has been banned or not.Clean accounts are worth more than banned account for same rank).
5.Trust (Good trust rating can fetch good price).

Many Thanks for your opinion and hope it has helped other users .

cheers
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 09:13:23 PM
So here are a few factors affecting BTC accounts and their values.

1.Bitcoin
 - Current Price of Bitcoin & Future Price of bitcoin
 - Fluctuations in the price of bitcoin can really make you consider whether action or transition is deemed necessary.

2.Trust
- Red Trust are basically a no, you don't trade with these individuals nor should interact with them
- Unfortunately, you might come across a few individuals who have trust but select individuals still choose to deal with them.
- I recommend avoiding all red trust individuals at cost.
- Neutral Account should be taken into consideration with feedback
- Light Green shows individuals who have provided useful information and conducted several successful trades
- Dark Green trust indicates highly respective and trusted individuals

*Take not of the level of trust and make judgement on your conscience. What you consider a honest and truthful account may be deceitful to others, only deal with well and reputable members of the forum.

3.Activity
- the amount of time a person has been active on the forums is a better indicator then amount of post
- in essence, the amount of time dedicated to search, research, and basically be familiar with the forums can be understood or summed up here
- Activity number is a better indicator then Post number. (Activity > Post)

4.Reputation
- Is this person honest and trustworthy
- Has this person ever had a scam reputation or portrayed something in a different perspective then originally intended.
- Does this person have any outstanding debt or loans.
- These are all factors to consider.

5.Post
-There is a difference between posting for numbers and providing genuine, quality post.
-When someone asks a question, a person will type out a thoughtful response and take a moment to ponder.
-The quality of answer shows whether the person was sincere or legitimate in answering your question.

6.Misc.Info
-Staked Address
-PGP/GPG Key
-Verification of identity etc...
-Network of individuals (who does the individual trade with and have in their social circle)

(Pricing for Each Activity Level)

Level of Activity for Account.

1 = Brand New - Worth $(0.00)
2 = Newbie - I don't think newbie ranks should be considered but less than (< .002 bitcoin.)
3 = Jr Member - ranges from .002 btc - .009 btc
4 = Member - ranges from .009 btc - .03btc
5 = Full Member - ranges from .04 btc - .09btc
6 = Snr Member - ranges from .1btc - .3btc
7 = Hero - ranges from .4 btc - .7btc
9 = Legendary - from .8btc+
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- I don't think one of these would be available nor have I seen one for sale.

Hi thanks for your opinion as well.

I did not think about PGP or GPG key, this is a good answer as i think if someone uses this type of security they are probably more likely to be honest.

Another good point you make that i did not consider is the network of individuals they have dealt with... i am sure that if the people they have transacted with are major scammers or people with red trust... that will look bad on them to be associated with? In the same way if they have dealt with the most respected users of this forum i am sure it will increase the value of their account.

In terms of the price ranges you have given compared to mine it seems that you rate some account ranks as higher - such as hero, full member and senior member accounts, while valuing other accounts as lower priced such as member accounts?

Anyway thanks for your opinion. and hope it helps everyone.

Cheers
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 09:03:47 PM
Looking at what you already have

# The current price of bitcoin? Could affect the BTC figure amount? I would hope that this doesn't affec thte price as transactions are in Bitcoin, however if the price became a redicuous amount, the accoutn price would follow to suit

Trust from ANY user, if deemed legit (accurate reference link, accurate amount lost, and accurate information given, is a good place to start, for each of these that are found, I suggest you half the valuation of the account.

# Whether there are any scam accusations against the username? If they are genuine or false?
# Whether it has been banned anytime?
# Whether if it has taken any loan?

# Whether a signed message is available? possible older the better to prove account is not hacked?
ask them to show the oldest possible signed message, or ask for a reason why they cannot sign the oldest message. If they put it down to a hardware failure, you could always request proof of tis (they would probably have signed the address at some point Also ask them to add date and time accurately to the signed message (closest to the nearest second).

# Whether the private key is available of the old staked btc address?
this may not affect it by too much as to my understanding, signed messages cannot be created through signed messages

# How much the bought account can potentially earn through signature campaigns or avatar campaigns? If there are any free spots on campaigns available? Probably test this against Yobit, which always have space

# The age of the account? Possibly the older the more valuable? Not really necessary, maybe sorted by year (charge only a few mbtc extra for this

# The actual name of the username may be desirable or not? so short and catchy names are higher in price? does it include numbers? Is it an actual word/reasonable name?

# The current activity number and how long until they reach the next rank? Accounts coming up to the threshold worth more than account far away from next upgrade in rank?
Not really necessary

# The Post quality of the username ? If the posts are at least 100 characters and constructive? Possible mostly 1 word answers devalue?
chec that from here http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/, not good for account pricing but can measure trust quite well

# The account quality in terms of which categories they have posted... i.e. if they have had all posts in gambling? or in many different categories?
# If the posts are all in English? or are they mostly in another language? Would this devalue accounts?

So my question is this ....

What do you think affects the price of a btctalk account if someone was to sell it on this forum? How much would you pay for the following ranks of btc accounts? Please copy and paste the following with your answers:

My answers are below for what i believe are actual value of account if someone was to buy:

My recommendations
[1 = Brand New - I would say worth nothing
2 = Newbie - I would say worth 0.001 to 0.05 BTC
3 = Jr Member - I would say worth 0.010 to 0.025 BTC
4 = Member - I would say worth 0.02 to 0.035 BTC
5 = Full Member - I would say worth 0.04 to 0.08 BTC
6 = Snr Member - I would say worth 0.1 to 0.25 BTC
7 = Hero - I would say worth 0.5 to 0.7 BTC
9 = Legendary - I would say worth 0.6 to 0.8 BTC
10) Donator/VIP/Staff - (possibly 10BTC for donator, 30BTC for VIP, Normal rates for staff

Hope this Helps you! Prices are based off recent auctions.

Hi

It is also very good to hear your opinion and tips.

In terms of the price ranges you have given compared to mine it seems that you rate some account ranks as higher - such as hero and full member accounts, while valuing other accounts as lower priced such as legendary

is there a reason for this price variation? you say these are roughly based on auctions?

Anyway it is good to here your opinion and hopes it gives other users a rough idea of account price.

thanks
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 08:57:15 PM
I was asked by OP to post here and this is my opinion:

TBH I am not updated anymore with the current bitcointalk account prices as I stopped accepting it as a collateral and re-selling it a month ago. But before that, I am actively involved on bitcointalk account trades making me quite familiar with the market

# Yes, price really affects the market, based on my observation. I first knew account trades way back when I attempted to sell my very first account I use here on bitcointalk (july 2015) and the BTC price that time was around $250-300. The average price for a full member that time was 0.08 BTC but I am selling mine for only 0.07 BTC. Then when the bitcoin price hit 400-450 within the last two months, you can buy it for as low as 0.03 BTC

# If an account got a trusted negative feedback, it is worthless IMO and untrusted ones doesn't matter at all to me cuz most of them were probably just a troll and also those do not reflect on an account's trust score

# Well most sellers do consider accounts with trusted positive(green) feedback more valuable that those neutral ones. Personally it doesn't matter to me cuz for me, reputation can't be bought but still, I just go with the flow Grin

# Scam accusation only matters when the accusation was proven thus it will lead to getting a red trust score and the account will be worthless

# Regarding to ban history, its not a big deal for me if it was banned before. It doesn't really affect the price since it will  not also affect the buyer when joining a sig campaign (signature campaign was the main reason why people buy accounts here). Still, I can see some buyers prefer those were not banned before.

# It depends on the loan. I don't mind if the account got a history of repaid loans, as I said , reputation can't be bought. But if the account got a history of unpaid/defaulted loans, again, it will lead to having a red trust score and then again it will be worthless Grin

# Signed message is a must on selling/buying bitcointalk accounts as it was the most common way to prove the ownership of an account therefore accounts that can't provide a signed message from an address staked/posted long time ago (mostly they prefer an address posted/staked for atleast 3 months old). No signed message, no deal. However, some also consider those account that can't provide a signed message, it will be cheaper though. In some cases, some accounts have never posted a single addy, it will be also cheaper than usual.

# Providing a private key will be a more solid proof of ownership. It will be also convenient for the buyer cuz he/she doesn't to stake a new address for future reference. It will be a plus to the value of an account.

# Availability of good signature campaigns is also a factor to account prices. The more the available campaigns with open slots, the more demand of accounts there will be, then expect higher prices of accounts (mostly full members and sr members) cuz of limited supply. Of course there will be less demand if there are less open campaigns (or none at all)

# Just like in love, age doesn't matter Grin

# I prefer those with cool names, still won't affect the price though

# I think what you were trying to say was those with potential activities. Of course, the higher the potential activity of the accounts, the higher its price

# Post quality is a big factor in purchasing an account cuz it was the main requirement in joining on a high paying signature campaign. You can even get special rates on a campaign if the post quality of an account was exceptional. Low post quality can just to rejection when you are going to apply on a campaign. Higher quality comes with higher price

# I don't think most popular boards/sections by posts will affect the price cuz in the end its still the quality of posts will matter, no matter what board it is EXCEPT off topic, games & rounds ,and local section

# This forum is mainly an english forum so I prefer most (if not all) posts were on english language. Those accounts with mostly local language posts will have lesser value.

Regarding to prices, here's my estimation:

1 = Brand New - 0
2 = Newbie - 0 (will only have value if it has a potential activity)
3 = Jr Member - 0.001-0.005 BTC
4 = Member - 0.006-0.04 BTC
5 = Full Member - 0.05-0.1 BTC
6 = Snr Member - 0.11-0.2 BTC
7 = Hero - 0.21-0.5 BTC
9 = Legendary - 0.6 BTC and above
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- priceless

Prices may go higher if it has potential activity

Hope this will help even though it is not that accurate Grin You should also contact Neotox cuz he was more experienced on such things, I used to contact him before when I got some inquiries regarding to bitcointalk account sometimes

Hi thanks a lot for your opinion.

I really appreciate that you used to be a lender before so have first hand knowledge in the price of accounts.

I do also agree with pretty much everything you said, you place particular importance on a signed message and post quality... which i was not too sure about.

Your price range for each rank of account is quite similar to mine.

Many Thanks for your detailed opinion.

Bye Daniel

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 06:37:50 PM
Not here for the tip, but I got a message about this thread and I actually have a pretty different opinion about this.

There is no question that there is value on accounts. Heck, anything has value. However, I don't think selling accounts should be permitted. At least not taken so lightly as it is, with public offers about it being allowed. It looks like the wild west around here. It's not only feeding the scamming attempts, but some people collect and farm accounts and use them for extortion attempts and trust abuse.

I've been on the lending section and decided to retract almost right away. It's a minefield.

And for the claim that a trustful account could be bought to start a business, etc. wouldn't that be deceiving to your potential customers? Nobody trusts a newbie around here, even if he appears honest and thoughtful. Yet a Sr. Member that can't put together two sentences is more to be trusted?

Some things in this forum are way off, and it's too damn late to fix them if anybody cared about it.

Having said that, I personally wouldn't pay for an account. Its post history would not reflect my views. Period.

Hi

thanks for your opinion.

Yes i also agree that there are far too many scammers out there and quite a few dodgy deals going on.

I also think that there are too many account farmers on here as well, but how can the website stop people selling accounts privately? maybe even on another website?

Yes i agree..that buying an established account solely for the trust is not good as it can be misleading to others.

Anyway thanks for your opinion and i hope that this thread helps others who are looking for rough prices for different ranked accounts.

Bye

What can affect the account price:
- History Post (good, fair, or poor)

- Potential activity
- Date registered
- Staked Address (3 moths on this forum)
- Trust
- Account with Local post will be cheaper.
just that

Price Account Without pot activity & green/red trust(normal) on BTC

Newbie - post history good : 0.0025 fair : 0.0001 poor : -
Jr Member - post history good : 0.01 fair : 0.0035 poor : 0.002
Member - post history good : 0.025 fair : 0.017 poor : 0.01

Thanks for your answers on what you think each member rank is worth.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 12:58:55 PM
I would say. 05-.1BTC for Sr.Member
.2-.3BTC hero members as for legendary.. I dont know

As long as there are many of account farmers. The value will keep on depreciating.

Why do you feel account farmers devalue the value of member accounts? Is it because they can simply flood the digital good section with their accounts and if they sell them for a low price.... then future buyers of your account will simply not pay as much because they saw accounts being sold for much less?
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 12:56:42 PM
I am extremely new to all of this so any answer I can give are not worth much, but I'd like to offer up my thoughts on this subject anyway.

# The current price of bitcoin? Could affect the BTC figure amount?
Yes, I think account values are not pinned to bitcoin and there price in BTC varies on the price of BTC.
I think this because I see in a lot of posts mentioning account priced in BTC going down after the recent rally. They may be back up a bit after this dump just now.

# Whether the account has any negative trust especially from default trust users? How about from untrusted feedback?
I'm pretty sure negative trust basically kills the value of an account. They may hold some value for people that want to get into those sketchy ponzi sig campaigns, can be used in yobit campaign, can be used for testing signatures you are trying to design, and if they have a lot of posts they may hold some advertising value by just putting a sig on them that will show in all there old posts.. But I believe negged accounts have very little value and I do not accept them as collateral especially when there trust is red. Even negative trust from non-DT can damage the value of an account IMO it depends on the trust of whoever left that trust.

# Whether there is any green trust or dark green trust?
Positive trusts and a green trust rating definately increase the value of accounts.

# Whether there are any scam accusations against the username? If they are genuine or false?
If there is a recent scam accusation or hack accusation that hasn't had enough time to be judged I will not touch this account as it could seriously damage the accounts value based on the negative trust it received because of it if it is true.
I don't think a proven false accusation hurts the value much if any though especially if the account is in good standing by other means.

# Whether it has been banned anytime?
I don't think there is a way to be sure an account has been banned before or not, maybe there is but I don't know. This info would basically be on just the word of the accounts owner so that is a risk.

# Whether if it has taken any loan?
A current unpaid hurts the account a lot because that account is in debt and will be negged if it defaults.
If the account has a good history of taking, and repaying loans I believe this helps the value of the account, higher the loan repaid the better, especially repaid no-collateral loans IMO

# Whether a signed message is available? possible older the better to prove account is not hacked?
Yes a signed message is good especially if there is doubt. Maybe not necessary if it isn't sketchy in the first place.

# Whether the private key is available of the old staked btc address?
Yes this would increase the value.

# How much the bought account can potentially earn through signature campaigns or avatar campaigns? If there are any free spots on campaigns available?
I think this is one of the main reasons that accounts have so much value.

# The age of the account? Possibly the older the more valuable?
Sure, that could help but not much unless it is VERY old I would think.

# The actual name of the username may be desirable or not? so short and catchy names are higher in price?
When accounts are up for bid I don't think the names are shown so they don't get negged as a sold account. For me to take on collateral I don't think it matters much.

# The current activity number and how long until they reach the next rank? Accounts coming up to the threshold worth more than account far away from next upgrade in rank?
A Sr. account that is about to make hero is worth more than an account that just made Sr., and a hero on the verge of being legendary more than a new hero.

# The Post quality of the username ? If the posts are at least 100 characters and constructive? Possible mostly 1 word answers devalue?
Don't think it matters too much unless its very bad post quality.

# The account quality in terms of which categories they have posted... i.e. if they have had all posts in gambling? or in many different categories?
I think this goes along the lines of post spamming and bad post quality like the last one.

# If the posts are all in English? or are they mostly in another language? Would this devalue accounts?
I don't really know but to me a lot of non-english posts hurt the account value similar to poor quality posts.

I think your prices are a bit high..
1 = Brand New - I would say worth nothing
Yup
2 = Newbie - I would say worth 0.005 to 0.010 BTC
Still worth nothing
3 = Jr Member - I would say worth 0.010 to 0.025 BTC
.001-.005
4 = Member - I would say worth 0.015 to 0.035 BTC
.005-.03
5 = Full Member - I would say worth 0.02 to 0.06 BTC
.03-.07
6 = Snr Member - I would say worth 0.15 to 0.25 BTC
.07-.15
7 = Hero - I would say worth 0.25 to 0.7 BTC
.15-.35
9 = Legendary - I would say worth 0.6 to 1.8 BTC
.35-5.0
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- I am not sure?
?BTC?

My thoughts on prices may be low because my brain is going "make sure I can get my money back out of it". They may be way off IDK.

Well, there is my thoughts on this so far being pretty new to this.
Thank you for making this thread by the way, I hope it gets some great replies from QS and those guys so I can learn more about all this too..

You make some really good points.

Yes i agree that default negative trust basically kills the account value.

Positive trust that is green also helps like you said.

Also i slightly disagree about your opinion on post quality.... i think post quality matters a lot. Especially if you want to meet the minimum requirements to be accepted on a signature campaign.

Your opinions on prices i generally agree with and thanks again for replying.

Thanks

sadly most ppl around here buy account to scam others. its that simple, there may be a few doing sig campaigns or what so ever but that are the smaller % of ppl

Yes i agree to some extent... i do not know if it is most buyers simply using the accounts to scam, but i agree that a lot of people are doing this.

What do you think affects the price of a btctalk account if someone was to sell it on this forum?

There are a lot of things that would affect the price of a bitcointalk account. For example, the person buying it. Let's say you were going to buy an account and use it to scam someone, you would buy a SR + account because people trust those accounts more than the others. And let's say you bought it for a signature campaign. The price you would offer will vary, because on one hand it's being used to bring a ROI by posting daily, and on the other it's being used for a quick ROI of maybe 180-200% depending on how much you bought it for. Example: You buy an account for signature campaign and get paid 0.04 BTC weekly. 0.04*4 (average amount of weeks in a month) 0.16 BTC in a month. You'll get a profit within 2 months of QUALITY posting, not including bonuses. You would pay around 0.15-0.2 for a senior member account.  Now, on the other hand you're a scammer and you buy a Senior member account. You would pay maybe 0.4-0.5 for it because of the amount of money you can bring in by scamming with it.

Another thing that would affect the price of an account.. The trust. If you have negatives from DT, that brings down the price by a lot. Most signature campaigns don't allow you to join with negative trust, and not a lot of people will deal with you. Even scam reports. Those make the account worthless together. The quality of the posts will also affect the price. No one wants to buy an account that has 50,000 posts in the games and rounds section saying "my address is .. Thx" or in the off topic section with spammed two letter posts. If you have better/very high quality posts, depending on the quality it might increase the account worth by around 1.2/1.25* because of the bonuses you can get in signature campaigns.

More things affect the price of an account, but the main ones are;
- Trust
- Post quality
- Activity/Potential activity
- Signature campaign

How much would you pay for the following ranks of btc accounts?

1 = Brand New - Not sure why you pay a cent for these when you can just sign up and make your own
2 = Newbie - 14 activity: 0.000000000 BTC. 28 activity: Maybe around 0.0015 BTC.
3 = Jr Member - 0.0045-0.005 BTC
4 = Member - 0.03 to 0.05 BTC
5 = Full Member - 0.05 to 0.06 BTC
6 = Snr Member - 0.16 to 0.3 BTC
7 = Hero - 0.25 to 0.7 BTC
9 = Legendary - 0.7 to 1.5 BTC
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- up to 3 BTC?

That's considering the account is @ average standards. No negative, no positive trust, etc.

I agree about your opinion about earning potential with signature campaigns, it may be a good investment to buy an account as you get your money back by making quality posts within a short period of time. Anything after this will be pure profit.

This is very similar to other forums with people earning money by paid to post jobs? Signature campaigns are similar in that you also get paid to post.

I do think signature campaign are both good and bad. Good because it increases the visibility of this forum in search engine results. Bad because there are many spam posts who really do not add to the debate but are simply spam posting.

Another very important point you make is about the minimum requirement you need to be accepted on a signature campaign.... i agree that having negative default trust and bad post quality will make your account worthless in terms of joining a signature campaign as you will not be accepted.

Finally we know that scammers simply buy accounts just to con people, a recent example is master-p. They bought the account and even the private and and other internet profiles..... they buyer of master-p account seemed like a really useful member of the forum... but eventually scammed many people and stole many bitcoins... so yes these accounts can be used for negative purposes.

Thanks for your opinion.

17  Economy / Trading Discussion / QUESTION? BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICES SURVEY! OPINION? 5 USD TIP FOR BEST ANSWER on: January 17, 2016, 03:01:47 AM
Hi guys.

I am looking for your opinion about the price of btctalk accounts and would like some genuine and thoughtful answers. I would especially appreciate the view of lenders on btctalk.

I know some users frown upon people buying an selling accounts. But i think the main reasons for buying account may be to get around posting restrictions/ to earn by going on a signature campaign/ to buy an account with trust so you can start selling a service and seem trustworthy for users dealing with you without waiting ages to build up a trust rating.

I will send a 5 usd tip in btc to the best user who gives an answer which i believe is thorough and valid.

My personal opinion is that I know many things can affect the price of a user account. These include things such as:

# The current price of bitcoin? Could affect the BTC figure amount?
# Whether the account has any negative trust especially from default trust users? How about from untrusted feedback?
# Whether there is any green trust or dark green trust?
# Whether there are any scam accusations against the username? If they are genuine or false?
# Whether it has been banned anytime?
# Whether if it has taken any loan?
# Whether a signed message is available? possible older the better to prove account is not hacked?
# Whether the private key is available of the old staked btc address?
# How much the bought account can potentially earn through signature campaigns or avatar campaigns? If there are any free spots on campaigns available?
# The age of the account? Possibly the older the more valuable?
# The actual name of the username may be desirable or not? so short and catchy names are higher in price?
# The current activity number and how long until they reach the next rank? Accounts coming up to the threshold worth more than account far away from next upgrade in rank?
# The Post quality of the username ? If the posts are at least 100 characters and constructive? Possible mostly 1 word answers devalue?
# The account quality in terms of which categories they have posted... i.e. if they have had all posts in gambling? or in many different categories?
# If the posts are all in English? or are they mostly in another language? Would this devalue accounts?

So my question is this ....

What do you think affects the price of a btctalk account if someone was to sell it on this forum? How much would you pay for the following ranks of btc accounts? Please copy and paste the following with your answers:

My answers are below for what i believe are actual value of account if someone was to buy:

1 = Brand New - I would say worth nothing
2 = Newbie - I would say worth 0.005 to 0.010 BTC
3 = Jr Member - I would say worth 0.010 to 0.025 BTC
4 = Member - I would say worth 0.015 to 0.035 BTC
5 = Full Member - I would say worth 0.02 to 0.06 BTC
6 = Snr Member - I would say worth 0.15 to 0.25 BTC
7 = Hero - I would say worth 0.25 to 0.7 BTC
9 = Legendary - I would say worth 0.6 to 1.8 BTC
10) Donator/VIP/Staff- I am not sure?

Please copy and paste the above member ranks and post your range of prices you will be willing to pay. Please also post your opinion of what can affect the account price and what you believe is the best type of account.

Just to remind you again:

I will send a 5 usd tip in btc to the best user who gives an answer which i believe is thorough and valid.
