Hey everyone! Decided I would get into bitcoins a while back but never did, but I'm back now! Huzzah!  Roll Eyes

Nah, it wasn't borrowed. The guy just gifted me the coins and told me to pay it forward whenever I could.

I just see all the cool stuff you can do with bitcoins and desperately want to jump on the bandwagon and get started. Hell, I spent almost 3 days checking back every few minutes waiting for the blocks in my wallet to download  Grin
4  Other / Beginners & Help / I have 0.5 BTC left over, does anyone have an idea to grow it to 1 BTC? on: November 09, 2011, 01:01:41 AM
I just got into bitcoins on Thursday, and a kind IRC chatter gave me 2 BTC for free. Me, being an idiot, lost it with online blackjack and coin toss games. Now I have 0.5 BTC and I'm trying to figure out a low-medium risk way to grow it to 1 or more BTC within a couple days or so.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

Wowza! 10 grand. I'm not sure if I would do that even if I had a surplus of money. Too risky, IMO.
6  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter.com * Now with merged mining! * on: November 08, 2011, 10:10:07 PM
I tried it out for a bit, but found the interface rather clunky. To be honest, I prefer GUIMiner.  Undecided

I mined for a couple days on my GeForce 550 ti. The hash rate was only 30 something, but it got me a couple bitcents. Then, in an IRC room, some generous guy gave me 2 BTC, which I have now.   Grin

What kind of propellant can you use with them? Can you use smokeless powder from shotshells?

Neat idea, I might pick up a couple!

For the confused: A freeroll is a game where I provide the money and you get the payout.
Anyone up for today's?

How do you send a PM? For some reason it's not letting me.
