Who can help me further some online stores do not pay by btc
Actually i don't understand about your statement, if i am not wrong you are looking for online stores that doesn't accept bitcoins as payment method.
Basically amount of online stores that doesn't accept bitcoin more much than online stores that accept bitcoins for payment method.
I think you don't need list online stores that doesn't accept bitcoins because many online stores out there and this thread is talking about online stores that accepts bitcoins.

He is in bitcoin forum and he asked for that. For what purpose? Is he creating a list of stores which are not accepting bitcoin? He might need boxes of papers for that for there are so many.
I really think he need a list of stores who accepts bitcoin.
Thanks to Jack for the list but I am hoping this could be updated or could be posted somewhere, maybe pinned also.
Well if he is really needs a list of stores that accept bitcoins as payment method
as you said Jack had made the the list.
The list of stores that accept bitcoins is clearly, should he didn't asking about it
and his question is not clear.
Let us wait until there are explaining what is exactly he need, because you are
still speculation about his problem.
883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is being manipulated in China on: January 10, 2017, 11:43:46 AM
I don't think that bitcoin price is being manipulated by government of China
because there are no valid proof and as we know bitcoins is not fiat currencies
movement bitcoin's price depend on demand and supply.

Even though there are many users of bitcoins on China doesn't mean
they can be manipulation bitcoin's price.

885  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: January 10, 2017, 09:19:06 AM
Is it possible to do money laundering via bitcoin? I mean as no one knows if you have bitcoin and how much bitcoin do you actually own, it could be used to convert black money to white right? Or at least store your black money without much hassle. But there is the risk of its value but I think for people who have lots of black money and don't want to be caught, this risk might be worth taking for them isn't it?
What are your thoughts?
Actually there are no money laundering in bitcoins, there is bitcoins mixing only, it is different between mixing coin and money laundering,  https://[banned mixer] is one of many bitcoins mixing services and
The aim of mixing bitcoin is not for money laundering but it is for stay anonymous and there are no
people whom track their bitcoin.
That certain site could help you if you want to launder your money, people can use such service to be anonymous but there are people whose real intention to be anonymous as they want to hide their illegal activities. Bitcoin is already anonymous, so why would you still have to use the mixing service, you want to hide something of course.

Since mixing service is not covered my the AMLC then they cannot enforce the company to divulge the information of their clients to them. We can be safe here as it's a good place to be anonymous and hide some shitty activities if we are doing it.

I don't think that bitcoin is already anonymous because, i can track transaction with see wallets bitcoin
and i think the other users of bitcoins agree with me.

That is why there are bitcoin mixing services because bitcoins is not full anonymous
still needs other ways for becoming full anonymous, is like use bitcoin mixing services.

887  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com | BITCOIN WALLET | BLOCK EXPLORER | API | MINING POOL on: January 10, 2017, 04:30:58 AM
So the question still is:
This website safe to store a large amount of bitcoins Huh
I have used blockchain's web wallet for a long time and am getting worried that it will not be up one day when I want to access my bitcoins held in their wallet and will lose someday lose the substantial amount of bitcoin that I have there.
What i know and my experience couple months ago, btc.com is safe, but many people said never put the eggs on one basket, unfortunately right now i don't use it again because the fees is too expensive if be compared with other services wallets.
and there is no feature for sign massages and import private key on single wallet.

Hello OP, I think it is more good move on service or service discussion section on this forum,
and it is not suitable on altcoins discussion.
It will be more profesional bitbay service on the right place than on wrong section is like this,
and i think bitbay is not altcoins.  Roll Eyes
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin has 'jumped the shark' on: January 10, 2017, 03:44:13 AM
It is over folks.  The Bitcoin has now 'jumped the shark'.

Because the transaction fee is now >.40USD, bitcoin transactions are more expensive than Visa swipe fees.

Core has successfully forced a fee market of very expensive transactions by preventing others from increasing transaction capacity via larger blocks.  Satoshi wanted big blocks.  Yet, core has wrestled control and forced an unnecessary limit to block size thus creating their fee market.  All this with the idea of later providing relief via an off chain fee to go into their pockets.  Lightning is years away and fees are only going up from here.

Bitcoin is finished.

Yes you are right  bitcoin transactions are more expensive than Visa swipe fees,
but i don't agree if bitcoins is finished, because the developers and the peoples whom care about bitcoins are making solution for this problem.
They are making solution with segwit although it is still not yet be activated by all of users bitcoins
It is mean bitcoin is not finished.
890  Economy / Economics / Re: What influences the Bitcoin marketplace? on: January 10, 2017, 03:29:52 AM
The currencies of the world are affected by many different parameters such as politics, economy, wars. The value of the money also shows up and down according to these parameters.

What are the parameters that affect bitcoin?
The parameters that affects bitcoins are developers of coins, innovations of developers, mass adoption, comunity support for better of bitcoins in the future.
Investors who put the money on bitcoin and blockchains technology of bitcoins, it is part  fundamental of bitcoins and that are affects to bitcoin will be survive or not.
But for movement bitcoin's price is short term, it is depend on the most traders and speculator.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss account holders will need a new store of value... on: January 09, 2017, 04:45:06 AM
Bitcoin isn't really anonymous though, it is pseudonymous. It only works as tax haven if the holder is super-discreet and doesn't trip various wires, like selling a lot in one go.

Pseudo anonymous can be converted to fully anonymous with the right tools, VPN+TOR, Tails+Electrum, Converting bitcoin to Monero being the best options to remain discreet.

I think converting bitcoins to monero is not best option
because we must making deposit to altcoins markets
and it is needs much time.

The most simple to be full anonymous using bitcoins
mixing services is like https://[banned mixer] or other
bitcoin mixing services.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think that Crypto is the missing piece to the crowd-buying puzzle. Thoughts? on: January 09, 2017, 04:33:01 AM
We have seen thousands of attempts at setting up a successful group-buy system.

Microsoft in 2010, Google and Facebook in 2011.

I think an altcoin that doesn't promise huge returns, and from the start has a model that follows a grassroots approach, which naturally grows as a movement, will succeed where tech giants have failed.

I am thinking of organizing the creation of a new coin. With the community powering it's' growth.

I envision those involved starting off trying to get something like trash bags for half price. Then, branching out from there. **Trashbags just being an example, but it could be a good start.

Imagine buying all common household items through a crypto platform, saving $1000s a year.

I think this may be a possibility.

What about you?
Well i think if you want create new altcoins with some new ideas and for more better altcoins
there is user who has new proposal about new altcoins.
Although it is just still ideas and proposal, maybe it is usefull for you whom will create new altcoins
You can check on this thread about his proposal and the details. Good luck for your business

893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoW vs PoS conundrum - presenting a new form of PoA. on: January 09, 2017, 04:06:33 AM
Hello Everyone,

I present to you a 'premise' and a 'proposal' for a better future cryptocurrency, I have spent a few days formulating this in my mind and then on paper. Its a long post and fairly technical, but spend a few minutes following the logic trail and let me know what you think. Criticisms most welcome!

Proof of Work (Bitcoin)
  • - Energy intensive. Not ecological.
    - Centralization. Unfair wealth distribution.
    - Unsustainable, may not scale.
    - Transaction fees not mandatory
    - Reducing block rewards
    - Commercial Mining
    - 51% attack threat

Proof of Stake (Eth/Nxt,NEM):
  • - Not trustless
    - No verifiable longest chain.
    - No 'work' involved
    - Blockchain can fork
    - No single source of truth, history can be re-written
    - Checkpoints need trust.
    - Economic inequality, rich get richer.
    - Centralization, attack, total collapse.

What I've gathered so far:
  • - Work (wastage?) is inevitable.
    - Transaction fees are necessary.
    - Mining is essential economically.
    - Monetarism - controlled inflation
    - 100% premined will not work eventually.
    - Fungibility is essential, but so is transparency. Ideally should offer flexibility, like ShadowCash does; Monero cannot be mainstream.

Proposing a modified "Proof of Activity" (hybridized PoW/PoS)

Gist:
First shortlist lucky miners to sign next block based on stake (even distribution; weighted on stake ); next offer them a 'work' i.e. a complex math problem, (ASIC 'resistant', not asic proof), the first one to solve gets to sign the block and gets the reward.
In reality there is no prior shortlisting and handing them a math problem.
Each node is able to quickly self verify if it qualifies for the stake based lottery**( explained below) and if 'yes', it can begin solving the math problem**(explained below).

------------------------------------------------------------------

Stake based selection:

Design Considerations:

  • 1 - Give weight-age to stake/investment.
2 - Reward 'activity', securing the network.
3 - Balance 1 & 2 such that Miners will NOT consider diversifying investment into accounts.
4 - Prevent centralization to possible extent.

Algorithm:

  • L = Chain window length , e.g. 50
N = circular counter (1-50), changes with each block
BhX= Hash of Block N, in base-62, 64 digit long
BhY = Hash of Block (L-N), in base-62, 64 digit long
    A = node's address in base 62.

Each node performs,
  • M (mash) =  Fa(BhX,BhY), number in base-62, 64 digit long.  i.e. Add the two base-62 BhX & BhY, apply modulo '%' to limit length to 64.
Ss (score)= Fcb(M,A) , see link for the basic game, https://www.rosettacode.org/wiki/Bulls_and_cows , but extended as below:
    - alphanumeric matching in same position will gather 3 points.
    - alphabet matching in same position but different cases (upper, lower) will gather 2 points.
    - alphanumeric matching in different position will gather 1 point.

  • V = UTXOs of node's address 'A' in currency units.

    Dfs = Difficulty factor(stake), range 0.0 to 1.0

    Q = Dfs * 62 - (log (V) / log (√2))
Note:
  • - So you can interpret Q value as number of character matches a node is able to find.
    - Scroll to the end to find a sample tabulation of V & Q values, for Dfs of 1.0 (unlikely to be used)

A match can gather either of 1,2 or 3 points. So on average a match accumulates 2 points.

if (Ss > 2*Q) then mine();

------------------------------------------------------------------

Proof of Work:

Design Considerations:

  • 1 - Common everyday computers / miners should be able to participate.
2 - Do not use existing ASIC friendly algorithms
3 - Solving should be limited to heuristic techniques at best.
4 - The obvious difficult to solve, but easy to verify.
5 - Invent one, because its fun
Algorithm:

  • Imagine an everyday number lock, only this one has 62 wheels instead of 3.
    Each wheel/dial has 62 unique digits/characters, A-Za-z0-9.
Each wheel is NOT independent, so turning each wheel affects other wheels.
Moving a (any) wheel by 1 step up, moves all the following (progressing to the right) wheels in different number of steps, following some (Fibonacci?) pattern ,and also alternating Up and Down. It also wraps around until it reaches the neighbor on the left.
Also consider the wheels can be turned on Y axis too, and they have similar effects of moving their neighbors below them alternating Left and Right.
Now, the node is supposed to come up with a short route to align numbers on the pseudo 3 dimensional wheel such that,

  • Sw = Score for work done.
    Dw = Difficulty for work/mining
CoR = values of a single column or row that is potentially matching to the address A, based on the scoring system described above (Bulls and Cows based)

  • Sw = Fcb(CoR,A)

If Sw > Dw  sign next block and claim block reward.

Of course this should be easy to verify by the remaining nodes as the winning miner will publish the path(Pt) to align the dials which contain the interested CoR,
The path could be an unoptimized string in this format:
  • N = Column/Row number
    Di = Up/Down
St = Steps to move, min 1 to max 10
[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St],[N][Di][St]

  • Pt = Path to align the dials, limited to 16 instructions.
pCoR = pointer to CoR, contains the column number or row number of the winning combination.

It is nice proposal and ideas, unfortunately it is suitable for developers of coins
but the problem are there the developers whom accept your proposal?
It is need much discussion about your ideas include weakness of your theory.
Or I think you must make altcoins that suitable with your ideas and proposal
i don't know about that and i am not developers of coin.

Let's wait until there are developers or other users whom has knowledge
building altcoins and I hope it is not becoming scam coins.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new crypto coins that can compete with bitcoin? on: January 09, 2017, 03:40:34 AM
Im looking to invest all my money on another crypto coin

Do you guys have that can compete with bitcoin really?

Might buy 100 units of it.

There are no altcoins that compete bitcoins, I don't talking high risk with making investment
to altcoins for long time.
Bitcoins is the coin for making investment into it and for long term strategy
altcoin are just for short term strategy investment usually just for trading.

Look at here https://coinmarketcap.com bitcoin is always number one
so there are no reasons for making investment long term strategy to altcoins.
895  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: Commodity, Store of Value or Digital Currency? on: January 09, 2017, 03:11:11 AM
first i know bitcoin, i don't think its commodity, store of value or digital currency, i think in that time, i only know that bitcoin can help me to earn money. but from time to time i learn bitcoin, i think bitcoin is store of value and include with digital currency for the future, because i see that bitcoin have this chance to be one currency that could be use by all people from all country without any difference than fiat which is need to be convert first in the local fiat if we want to buy something.
Yup everything depend on the users of bitcoins will be considered as currency, commodity, gold or other, the most important bitcoins can give income for every bodies.
Right now bitcoin be considered as stocks in my opinion, because the movement of bitcoin's price is like movement stocks and it can be analyzed by same method is like analysis for stocks price.
896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any good Bitcoin exchange on the deep web? on: January 09, 2017, 03:02:41 AM
Do happen to know of any good Bitcoin exchange operating on the deep web that would allow me to exchange altcoins for BTC or viceversa?

I just want to be able to exchange an altcoin into BTC in an anonymous and secure way, without leaving trace of the amount of coins exchanged, etc.

Nevertheless, if you happen to know of any good exchanges, then please let me know. I would greatly appreciate your help with this.  Smiley
A lot at deppweb but 99% of it is a scam. Plss don't risk your money at deepweb hackers can track your wallet address and hack it or whatever they can do. Just exchange your bitcoin or trade it with the legit trading sites here in surface web. Don't go deepweb it's a big gamble to trade there Smiley
Yes it is too dangerous and high risk, I think the OP can use service exchange on this forum (I think on currency exchange section it is anonymous too) or using other services exchange are like paxpul and localbitcoin.
That ways are more safe than use deepweb service for exchange the coins with taking risk for losing money.
897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to Trade? on: January 09, 2017, 02:53:07 AM
Most of the exchanges have ability to exchange your bitcoins into your fiat currency(USD), like c-cex, yobit, bittrex. when ever you have bitcoins you can instantly exchange them. When coming to deposits it will take time to get some confirmation.
Yes when coming to deposit it will take time to get confirmation and i think it is not too long time,
Usually poloniex is not needs much time until the bitcoins been confirmed except if there are maintenance of markets.
It is for markets trading and i traded on poloniex, for trading bitcoins to fiat money (USD, IDR) i use quoine.com or bitcoin.co.id on poloniex, quoine and bitcoin.co.id I never find the problem when using them.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: January 09, 2017, 01:14:22 AM
Bitcoins will become more popular and many people, corporations, government that adopt blockchains technology in 2017 and bitcoin's price will more be increasing.
although right now bitcoin's price under $1000 , but it will not become $200 was like in 2013, i guess will around $800-900/BTC.
It is mean growing of bitcoins become more good and more stable.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: January 09, 2017, 01:04:03 AM
Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
I think the altcoins that might survive in the future are ethereum, litecoin, ripple, monero, ethereum classic, dashcoin, augur and maidsafecoin.
And i choose all of them because i use marketcap as base for ref and we can check at here https://coinmarketcap.com
and the developers of altcoins always make updating the coins.

Hello OP, I can understand about your services escrow, unfortunately you are newbie without feed back from other users whom can be trusted.
It will become problem for your service because will there are no people whom use your services,
trustworthy is very very important point in business service escrow.
I think more good for ups position of account bitcointalk and it will become good first step for building escrow service. Good luck for your business.
