Hardly anyone mentioned here about the upcoming U19 world cup (ODI format). It used to be one of the most high profile ICC events a decade ago. But as a result of the numerous T20 franchise leagues, I guess this event has lost it's sheen. This time also, 16 countries are participating (all the test nations except New Zealand, plus 5 associates - Canada, PNG, Uganda, UAE & Scotland).

Historically, some of the players who participated in this tournament went on to become legends in due course of time. Examples are Steve Smith, Virat Kohli (captained India during the 2008 U-19 World Cup), Josh Hazlewood, Chris Woakes, Ravindra Jadeja, Paul Stirling and Kane Williamson.

You ignored Babar Azam in your list of great players who participated in U19 WCs. Cricket has lost its charm due to T20 leagues primary because of IPL. U19 is the gateway to your international cricket career. I remember we use to watch U19 WC finals but nowadays no one is broadcasting these matches.

I think the chances of a draw in this match are not low yet. The Australian team is experienced. So they declared their innings before the end of the fourth day. The good news for England is that they did not lose a wicket on the fourth day. They will have 10 wickets on the fifth day. England do not expect to win by batting for 388 runs. Their goal is to draw.
If you want to draw the match, Root, Stokes and Bairstow must play a role. If these three players can play well then England can expect to win. Because no other player of the team is in the form now. The match will be a draw even if the two openers play the first full session, but it is almost impossible for them.

Australia chances are bright as England need 358 more runs to win. Seeing the bowling performance of Australia in recent tests I am very much sure they will bowl out England tomorrow. As far as England is concerned they will try to draw the game. Let's see who succeed in achieving his aims.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 07, 2022, 10:41:52 AM
Before we can become a VIP, we need to prepare many things and one thing that we should know is we need to use more money and play many times. I am just a small gambler like both of you so I do not intend to become a VIP and I do not imagine if I will become a VIP in one or more gambling sites. I do not know what requirement needs on the gambling sites. But I am sure many gambling sites will have their advantages and disadvantages for their VIP members so it is hard to choose the sites.

Being a VIP member means you have to invest big or place huge bets in some duration. So that's something reserved for big gamblers not small gamblers like me. Since OP has asked an imaginative question so I can imagine some casinos, if I have given some chance like that then I will go for 1xbit.com
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 07, 2022, 10:37:28 AM

If my expense is $2000 or more a month then I do not have spare money to take fun from gambling.

If I have spare money (considering the spend is less than $2000) then I would like to save some money for investment but sometimes I may want to have fun with gambling too. In this case, if I lose then it's gone from the particular month but if I win then I can add some extra with the investments I do using the spare money.

Gambling IMO adds to anxiety rather then giving you fun feelings. Imagine what fun you will get if you gamble and lose 100$ on weekend night? Its better to do some other stuff for fun like dining out, going on one day trip rather then doing gambling. Not many like me understand this unless they lose big in gambling.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin truly moving forward? on: January 07, 2022, 10:33:29 AM
bitcoin almost reached a bearish price peak in the first week of 2022, not that bitcoin will continue to fall below $40k, but where people are starting to restart new investments in 2022. bitcoin crash early first week of this year will be early preparations investors panic buy in the next week,

Whenever BTC fell in price then we start discussion that Bitcoin will collapse to some very low value. We need to understand that its the right time to buy Bitcoin. Remember when someone is selling some other is buying. Right now panic sellers are selling but who is buying? The buyers are the one who buy when its low and sell when its high.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 07, 2022, 10:29:25 AM
Well, i think it is possible to become rich with 0.01btc and hold it for maybe 7 to 10 years from now. And you always have to consider rising prices as time marches on. It is also depend not only on your expecation but also on your age because we dont know what will happen next. Life is unpredictable. So live practically. Its not about being rich, just enough to live comfortably.

There is no way we can predict how crypto market will behave after a week or month. We have to be realistic with our investments, nobody can wait for indefinite period of time to get profit. If I invest today then I expect good return in a year or two, so that I can use it for myself and for my family. Whats benefit of increasing your investment if you cant use it.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 07, 2022, 06:55:53 AM

Surely this could be better choice for Indian future because now it's time for BCCI to do some hard decisions for breaking this player power which is never been ideal in any team specially like India where you have some good number of natural talented players those can handle pressures in well manner.

I feel now it's time for having good role model like Australia where they are giving chance to talented players instead of checking Sr or Jr method, this will bring more aggression and good changes for long run. KL Rahul is having some time in South Africa, so if they go ahead with him in short formats for some time it's going to be very good.

Just when KL Rahul was looking to get captaincy of Test, India for the very first time lost a Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. Without Kohli India bowled out for 202 and it seems like Kohli is not that easy to be replaced atleast for year or two. He will come back harder and on his own terms this time.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 07, 2022, 06:51:22 AM

The trend with football will take quite a lotta time to get into cricket. One big reason could be football is a global sport, but cricket is only played by a few nations, and 2 or 3 boards control how cricket is played.

You are right. IPL is the kick-starter of the money game in cricket. As before it, players were only paid their salary but now, they make more than that by playing 1 month in the IPL. As you said, it has both advantages and disadvantages.,

As long as big 3 control cricket, dont expect new countries to join in since that will destroy the supremacy of big 3. IPL has done more damage to Indian team then good. Yes it has brought money in the game but at the same time Indian cricket standard is going down and out. Because of IPL players mind are struck in T20 format and cant play bilateral series.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 07, 2022, 06:47:44 AM

It's not just the Indian team. I have heard about similar incidents and issues from all the other Asian teams, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. BTW, I don't think that Rohit is suitable to lead the team for the long term. He will be 35 years soon and may remain in international scene for another one or two years. I would say that either Rishabh Pant or Shreyas Iyer should be made the captain at least in one of the formats, so that they could replace Rohit in a couple of years from now.

India is biggest board so don't compare it with countries like Pak, BAN, SL and Afghan. There must be tight control of board on players like we have in England and Australia. Rohit is just made captain, let him try something before we start saying that he is not suitable for captaincy. He can play for 2 to 3 years from here on.

This is Team England. Those who scored 36 runs lost 4 wickets. Now their collection is 135. The funny thing is that Joe Root returned to the dressing room with zero runs. He could not add any run to the team's scoreboard. After a long time we saw such an innings from Root.
Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow are playing very well. Stokes are unbeaten on 52 and Bairstow on 25. Runs will continue to be added to England's scoreboard as long as their innings and partnership last. When they are both out. My prediction is that all other players will not be able to collect more than 70-80 runs.

Thanks to Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes innings England manage to cross 200 with still 4 wickets in hand. They avoid follow on because of these two innings. How many times Root has to score alone? He is a player and can get out on zero. I dont know why Zak Crawley and Haseeb are selected as opener for such a big contest.

SA vs IND

Series is most likely heading towards 1-1 as Proteas only need 66 runs now.

Only Thakur is producing fine spell. Bumrah and Shami both looked off color so far, Ashwin was okay and Miyan ji struggling with hamstring (that's why he's not bowling i suppose). SA's top order deserve full credit for this, they are batting beautifully.

Its first ever Test win by SA at Johannesburg against India. SA won quite comfortably in the end. Honestly, nobody was expecting such performance from SA. Recent Test performance by SA and Bangladesh are good for cricket, it just an indication that cricket is still alive in these countries. That's why bilateral test series are important.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 04:03:17 PM

You are right. Now that he is no longer the captain in any format, the board can easily replace him if he underperforms. He had the immunity of being auto-picked as he was the captain, and also he was given freedom outside the field as well but now I think he should be treated the same just like any other player.

If he does something out of the line, he should be punished accordingly. I'm not sure about whether he actually refused to play or not, maybe we need some days to actually figure out what the actual matter is.

To maintain discipline in the team boards have to take tough decisions no matter who is the player. Indians are crazy for cricket and there will be lots of replacement for virat Kohli. He need to be very careful in curretn situation as he has lost captaincy, he must not lose his position in the squad.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 03:58:55 PM

After day 3, South Africa are able to collect 118 and lose only 2. But I think till now both teams have a chance to win.
Since South Africa still needs 122 runs to win. It is not less. The match could go under Indian control in the first session tomorrow. Tomorrow, if the Indian bowlers are able to pick up 2 wickets quickly, then the match will be under the control of India. Because the lower order players in South Africa are not experienced. The Indian bowlers will not have much trouble getting them out.

Honestly I was not expecting such performance from SA in second innings. They are very much in the game and first session of tomorrow's play will decide who is going to win this game. India need wickets in quick succession while SA need there batsman to stay on pitch.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 11:20:33 AM

Arey bhai 350?

they are standing at 225 runs and tail is long. They don't need to score 350 on this pitch anyway, 250 target on this pitch won't be easy to chase.

Lord Thakur did his thingy again, Vihari playing anchor role but he should start to play some shots too.

Lead is 198 runs now, tail need to wag for India.

250 is good enough for Indian bowlers to defend on this pitch. Hanuma Vihari and Shami are on crease right now. Shardul Thakur is gone but played his part nicely by scoring 28 runs of 24 balls. India right now in a good position to win the game. All they need is to score somewhere around 250 that will give there bowlers confidence.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 05, 2022, 11:17:14 AM

IMO Rohit is temporary fix until they fine tune young guys like KL Rahul or Shreyas, if we look at ongoing SA tour, it looks like that for long term BCCI is looking at KL Rahul as next Indian captain. Doesn't matter if India wins next ICC tournament (White ball) or not under Rohit captaincy as he's already 34.

Give Rohit some time before making a final judgement against him. After just few matches we are concluding that he is just a temporary fix or wont be able to captain in the long run. He is 34 years right now and still have 2 to 3 years of cricket left. I am not a big supporter of Rohit, I am just saying if he is made Captain then let him do the captaincy with peaceful mind.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 11:14:12 AM

@Swordsoffreedom no he won’t be punished for actions or words said in the past, but now he’ll no longer enjoy the immunity that was given to him and if he doesn’t perform he won’t be given many chances by BCCI and they’ll happily replace him.

@Sithara007 was Kohli angry about the captaincy drama yes, but would he refuse to play when India is on the cusp of an historic win no, hence I don’t believe even for a second that he refused to play.

India have played 5 Tests at Wanderers Stadium, 2 win and 3 draw. They are in a position to win current test also without Kohli. The rivalry b/w Kohli and BCCI will get tense with time and it will be Kohli who will lose the majority of his stake. There is lot of talent in India and BCCI will happily replace him with some new suitable talent who has no record of bulling the BCCI.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 05, 2022, 11:09:52 AM

This is massive concern now that ICC is not interested into spreading of this game and thinking all about IPL money which can bring down more in quality and marketing many other countries can suffer from this they need to bring some stick rules for all countries about this which help them as well for having better domestic system for generating money and having more players for their better and secure future. After West Indies now we are having problems in Sri Lanka and South Africa where cricket is losing charm and good future.

Cricket right now is revolving around IPL and it seems that future will be very much dependent on how IPL goes. Players and boards are not interested on bilateral series rather they are after money rich IPL. WI, SA and SL were once strong team and now they are gone too low in performance. Dont expect anything good from ICC for cricket.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 11:05:07 AM

@JSRAW these two knew if they scored less than 50 or less than 100 runs in this innings, then their test career would have ended for sure so it seems they have saved their careers for now. Lastly not sure why did team India suddenly collapse, but I can see two good player’s batting out there for team India, and if they can somehow take lead of 350 runs then it’ll put lots of pressure on SA.

India right now is leading by 183 runs and still 4 wickets in hands. The way SA is playing I am sure they wont be able to chase anything around 200 so India right now has very much saved the game. If they manage to score 250 runs then it will be a safe bet to go for India win. We still have 60 overs to go today.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2022, 10:09:55 AM
South Africa     VS     India

South Africa is just 100 runs behind. Has collected 102 runs and lost 3 wickets. The first session is not over yet. South Africa is playing well. But I did not rely on their players. At any moment they will start losing wickets. The South African team is now basically like Bangladesh. Batsmen's performance is irregular. However, it is expected that they will not lose all the wickets before 202. They will be ahead of India by at least 50 runs. Although it is not enough.

It seems like SA failed to take advantage of there good bowling. They are still 100 runs short and 4 wickets gone, if they keep on playing like that I am sure they will fell short of India 202. India has strong batting line up and if that line up clicked in second innings, it will be difficult for SA to chase huge target. They are already 1 test down in the series.

Can you please explain something about Charts & Analytics? I want to know what sort of algorithm you are using to plot graphs and give TA/FA. Lets say if I follow you graph then what the probability that they will take me to right direction? Sorry it may be a basic question but I am curious about it.
