Yeah I don't want to waste your time but like I said I readed the thread and tried lots of different config.

Quote
gpu3:
  disabled: 0

  # core_speed_0: 300
  # core_speed_1: 600
  core_speed_2: 900
  mem_speed_0: 300
  mem_speed_1: 300
  mem_speed_2: 300
  # core_voltage_0: 1.125
  # core_voltage_1: 1.125
  # core_voltage_2: 1.125000

This is not working either. I tried also commenting mem_speed_2 and lower OC.

try it like that? ^

Off topic but does anyone know how to get mgpumon web interface to stop showing old miner names and stats?

you try restarting your main rig that displays mgpumon?

In the end if you think about it. Is $.45 an hour really worth the time? Not trying to shoot down this project (I've even done some myself) or anything but just putting in my 2 bitcents.
ur at a loss as i see it then.

u spent an hr and made .45

spent some seconds typing up this reply for no cents.

and then gave up 2 bitcents.

yikes!

im in the same shoes as Inaba, i've tried numerous clock settings, nothing seems to help... i have 12 rigs each one has at least 1 gpu not recognized sometimes 2 gpu's...

maybe i'll have to converse with you as well Gigavps...

also, i'll donate for your help if i can get things figured out... and once things are running correctly i'll also donate towards the BAMT  Smiley
287  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: March 06, 2012, 07:20:49 AM
as for the gpu thing i mentioned earlier... re-writing bamt onto the usb drive worked...but as i add in a 2nd & or 3rd 5970 a whole new set of problem's occur. urggh.

for everyone running 6 gpu's / 3 5970's... how many watts you pushing them with? with the 800/300/1.05v ?

i cant even seem to get it to like those settings on 0.5...

even with just 2 5970's (4gpus) with 1-1300w psu rosewill lightning, it just seems to lock up... i tried adjusting the boot up time to a more spread 10sec between them...but nothing, just locking up...

doesnt make sense to me right now
288  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: March 06, 2012, 05:48:39 AM
im actually dealing with an issue that is similar... maybe not, but...
with 1 5970 in only, no matter if i switch it out with a different 5970=

GPU0 gets 368 m/hs
GPU1 gets 322 m/hs

it seems as if gpu1 will never overclock no matter the settings, even if its the same as gpu0 in which case should work since its dual gpu...

trying to re-write the usb, and start fresh........any ideas as to what i might need to do will be tried n tested.  Smiley

why do i have less shares but more gh/s...is that something that im obviously doing wrong, or missing?

So..  who's going to be sad if we abandon 32 bit machines?
Who's going to be sad if we never support 8 gpus (i.e. go to 64bit)?

It's one or the other, as far as I am concerned.  No freakin way I am maintaining two builds.

Speak now, if you care.

1) Glad you aren't supporting crap chains.
2) I don't think there is much loss going to 64bit.  A $22 sempron is 64 bit capable.
3) Never knew of issues with >7 GPU.  I run 3x5970 = 6 GPU just fine but someday I might want to put the 8th GPU in.

I wouldn't consider it pressing but I would favor 8 GPU over legacy support.  I mean we got to cut the cord someday.  AMD first 64bit CPU was released in 2003.

+1

I would like to be able to run 4x5970 rigs. I am 64bit ready, willing and able.

I also would be happy to see 64bit, and 4x5970's rigs going... actually open up some room for me to add some other cards i got sitting around with no rig to add em into...lol

i think i make it 3 (64bit)vs 2 (32bit)

 Shocked

another thing i was thinking is, u dont need to completely toss out 32bit, but keep it around (atleast, where u left off...) so that 32bit users still have an option but no longer any development offered... just a thought tho... basically get it where you feel comfortable with leaving it as is... and move on to 64bit...

What's the status on adding cgminer to BAMT? Smiley

So... I finally picked up a usb wireless dongle thing cheap and plugged it into a bamt machine.
Making it work is very easy.

edit rc.local, add:

iwconfig wlan0 essid your_ssid
iwconfig wlan0 key your_key
ifconfig wlan0 up
ifconfig wlan0 1.2.3.4
ip route add default via 1.1.1.1

(season to taste)

reboot or just run /etc/rc.local once to get going.

i tested this and it works, too bad i purchased everything for LAN, lol...

in that case... i have 12 Wireless USB dongle things for sale, accepting BTC's as payment. they are Rosewill brand.

wow... cant believe this but guess what  Roll Eyes

I gonna guess you have done something embarrassingly simple to fix your problem that you don't want to tell us and you got your shit working.

I am going to guess that it was the over-volting.

If so, plz send 10 btc to 139aeAB5jGeHJhwhWFrJtwTkSmSxeomt5o  Grin

If not, let us know what it was.

not so much emb about it...as i am pissed at myself tbh...

im a humbled person but im also a man of my word.

give me 24hr's tops

I know I have been there more than once.  Cheesy

i think we all have tho, its a unique learning process with almost only trial & error to learn from...

mine was more so alot of trial due to a minor but major error

lol
296  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT - Easy persistent USB key based linux for dedicated miners/mining farms on: December 22, 2011, 09:11:47 PM
also one other question since im a n00b with linux

is there a way to update the amd drivers to the latest version,

if so would it matter in the performance of the cards that much?

so this whole time i thought the v for these was 1.125 (probably because of all the other cards i have that arent 5970's)

and i should've known this, but once i seen u post 1.05v i was like Yuuuup! (Dave Hester like)

sure enough.... 370m/h's

smh...

okay, let me set all this up n build some btc's back up since i just sold a bunch at 4... n u'll have ur donation to get this going  Grin

10 btc's soon, and 10-20btc's in due time haha
