I don't know who's next on Khabib, he is way above the competition now. I'm sure he will look for money fights now, Conor? Floyd?  Grin

Going up to next division to get next belt. Dont think that will be hard, as Khabin needs to cut a lot of weight before each fight.

Juggy777, Ive told you to bet on Khabins victory vis rear naked choke. Hope you’ve done it.

Or it would be Tony first and then Khabib going up to the next division. We have been waiting for Tony vs Khabib for a while so it's about time to see them fight and Khabib cleaning the division. Conor vs Khabib is just for the paycheck though.

I also like the rematch with Conor but it will be a huge disrespect if they bypass Tony Ferguson for Khabib's next fight. They are supposed to fight a long time ago but for some reason, something just comes up. These two are meant to fight each other and I do hope UFC makes it happen.

It would be a nice fight but Tony has no chance against khabib either. Tony won't have an answer for Khabibs takedowns, look at his fight vs kevin lee, that guy took him down easily several times, sure he eventually won via triangle choke but still.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2019, 06:43:51 PM
Anderson Silva and Adesanya somehow has the similarity of character which could also his downfall if he showboat in this fight. But I certainly don't get why he would be the underdog here.  Kabib isn't just successful taking downs he also box quite good, it stun Mcgregor after a fake take down and throw a right cross to his jaw. Both Kabib and Poirier are serious fighter.

Getting a 'lucky' shot on Mcgregor after faking a takedown doesn't mean khabib is a good striker, he isn't. The statistics don't lie, Khabib barely ko's people even though he is able to take them down consistently and pound them on the ground and yet he still can't ko people.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 06, 2019, 04:40:29 PM
The odds are 1/33 for Tyson Fury to win.

https://www.oddschecker.com/insight/boxing/20190813-tyson-fury-v-otto-wallin-odds-revealed

Otto Wallin comes in at 11/1, which means the bookies are heavily skewed on this one.

However, based on the fact that Fury dethroned Klitschko and arguably bested Wilder without even being in tip top form, 1/33 looks good.

Tempted to put my life savings on Fury.

Normally I don't make bets on these sort of lop-sided matches. Otto Wallins don't have any chance of a win. But the returns, if you bet for Fury is too low, at around 3%. You can argue that 3% in a few days is good return, but always remember that miracles happen every now and then. If somehow Fury loses, then all of your investment will be gone. Not worth taking that much risk for just 3%.

Yep, I would say that most boxing/fighting matches where a fighter is way stronger and better than the other and the returns are shit like 3-5% it's absolutely not worth it to risk your money on them. We have seen plenty of legends get randomly ko'd, it can definitely happen even if it's improbable, you can win dozens of bets and then lose 1 randomly and boom, all your money is gone and for what? to win 3-5% each bet.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2019, 04:38:37 PM
UFC 243 is still far from today but when I checked Nitrogensports and see the odds between Adesanya vs Whittaker, I was surprised to see the odds for Adesanya at +124 while Whittaker is at -140 meaning Adesanya is the underdog in this match. I am a fan of Adesansya and I haven't watched any fight of Whittaker, but I think as the fight draws near, odds will be different or tables might be turned.
Robert is  slugger and battle tested. He narrowly won against Yoel (although I thought Yoel won that fight). Maybe it's the experience that made him the favorite at the moment. Israel is a better fighter technically imo and I do agree that the odds will be in his favor a few days from now.

Exactly, Robert has face a lot of name foes in the past, i.e. Yoel Romero, Souza, Brunson and the current champion. Yep, we all know that odds really do change specially when the fight date draw near.

I mean, betting on Khabib is basically almost no risk money, however, the odds are so bad that it's really not worth it, it's a fight after all, he can still get knocked out randomly. I wouldn't want to bet 1k to win 20 dollars with the possibility of losing everything.
Remember the time when Anderson Silva was knocked out when we thought he will win that last fight but he got knocked out because he was clowning around. There will be a point in time that they will get sloppy and other fighter will be lucky to tag Khabib. But Khabib is at his prime and I don't think losing at this point in time is not likely to happen. Very small chance.

Well, it can happen but it doesn't mean it will happen, look at floyd, he never got KO'd even after dozens of fights. Khabib seems to have a strong chin and definitely strong mentality, the chances of him getting ko'd randomly are slim but they are still there.

We can't compare Floyd here, he never got KO'd because he is a defensive genius and he doesn't clown around as Anderson during his prime.

Definitely it can happen to the best of them, however, as you have said Khabib has a good chin and again he has a good IQ. Anderson's career was built around his talent and speed and when that is gone, people started to tag him and even KO him.

I mean, khabib is not a defensive genius but the fact that he can take down anyone and 70-80% of the time, both fighters are on the ground with khabib on top, that reduces the chances of getting ko'd drastically as it's almost impossible to ko someone from the ground.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: September 06, 2019, 04:36:45 PM
Its not surprising that Anthony Joshua is ahead of Andy Ruiz even when Andy Ruiz won the last fight. Many are still thinking he just got lucky on the last fight but I watched it over and over again, Andy Ruiz can stand toe to toe, it just happened the Anthony Joshua got rocked and Andy Ruiz followed up.

Odds from Nitrogensports
Anthony Joshua -308
Andy Ruiz +244

Great odds for Andy Ruiz and I think that would not change because despite AJ lose in the past fight, people still think he can come back and beat this fat guy, actually I think the looks and built of Andy Ruiz is what people are looking and he got disrespected on that.
Because Joshua can still salvage his career by winning the rematch and bookies know that. But that fat guy has a solid chin and really can punch.

The line now is what people's perception on the coming fight, so it's obvious that people believes the Andy Ruiz was just lucky in the last fight.
I wouldn't call that lucky though, he was also knock down by Joshua in the third round if I'm not mistaken but he quickly recovered and knock down Joshua in the same round. Perhaps it was faith for Ruiz to win to became the first Mexican heavyweight that night. But surely, the guy can fight, can recover quickly and has power in both hands.

There was a little bit of 'luck' involved, it was more like Joshua thinking he would have an easy win after the first knock down. I mean, you just knocked your opponent in round 3, I believe, of course you are thinking, bah, easy win, he got knocked down in the same round, very likely because of that. Afterwards, however, he did get outboxed.

ROFL, Romania just scored against Spain, 1-2 for Spain, it really would be pathetic for Spain to lose against Romania. Their group is so easy too, malta and faroe islands? Absolute garbage lol, these groups shouldn't be random to be honest.

Hmmmm...  Lots of money piling into Khabib.  Poirier's line is up at 4.60 now from 4.33 just a day ago (FJ odds).  I think it would've been better to wait til the weekend to get more value.  Oh well.  Wink

Ignorance is bliss...It has always helped me in such cases.
Indeed.  I'll always ignore game-protect's posts because they're all in the gambling section, which I never visit.

I have less of a problem with his apparently off-topic posts than I do with his feedback spamming.  Even though he's not on DT, some members will be swayed not to trade with someone with a lot of negative trust, even if it's obviously wrong.  I know that issue was reported in at least one thread, but I don't think it was ever resolved.

The mods seem a bit pussy to be honest with you. They will ban people for shit posting or copy pasting but hesitate a lot to ban a guy that:
I'm pretty sure it's not a moderator issue but one with Theymos, who's the mods' boss.  I have a hard time believing moderators don't want to ban this guy--but I could be wrong, and I'm not sure because nothing has been transparent.  But given that game-protect leaves spam negative feedback and is breaking all sorts of rules (apparently), I tend to think the moderators' hands are tied to some extent.  Perhaps they can chime in.

True, it's possible their hands are tied.

-
Knock it off, will yah? You're way too being serious about this guy,... Lemme give yah some butthurt cream 😂
What ever you do to them they'll just come up with new accounts besides this forum is totally free! So they'll just pop up with a new one and will definitely spam a lot more than usual.

Besides not all trolls are giving us a hard time. Some are actually funny although we think of them as mentally ill. Let them do what they want even if they abuse what they can abuse. In fact non of these will affect our accounts and life.

Almost all forums and social media platforms are free and you can create more accounts if you want, that doesn't mean they don't ban people, that excuse is probably the stupidest excuse I have ever read, yeah let's just let everyone spam, troll and shit post because he can create another account.

Does it matter if he is viewed as a service provider? Trolling is trolling and that's actually against the rules.

Depends to whom. Tongue
I don't view GP as a service provider, nor does 99% of the board (I believe).
But my opinion about GP, and the opinion of most of the users who expressed theirs about GP, is not going to do anything.

What is it going to be then ?

Is it GP being a plain troll, doing just that for the fancy of driving us nuts AND then he offers a "player protection service".
OR
Is he a (not moderated) service provider that crosses a little bit too far on the "troll" side when bullying regular users so he turns them into "customers". (gets money to stop harassment)

The fact that he's still roaming free on this board while being regularly reported for years, tells us how the moderation team perceive GP.

With a community that sensible, I can't say for theymos and the rest of the forum team, what would be the best for Bitcointalk.

The mods seem a bit pussy to be honest with you. They will ban people for shit posting or copy pasting but hesitate a lot to ban a guy that:

1.  'Copy pastes' too, he keeps posting this message: 'This extremely mentally ill bitcointalk account believes that anyone dealing with game-protect is at a high risk of losing money, even though we are since 3,5 years active with over 500 online casino scam reports received and no one ever lost money while dealing with game-protect!' almost everywhere.

2. is a shit poster too

3. scum and disgusting human being

4. pretty much a scammer too

175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 04, 2019, 11:30:02 PM
So really the only main disadvantage of Poirier over Mcgregor is the striking power and skill, however, I don't think Mcgregor was in his best shape at all when he fought Khabib, I'm sure the fight will be a bit closer but Khabib is winning anyhow.
I am hearing all these lame excuses about Conor McGregor not in his best shape when he fought Khabib, no one forced Conor McGregor to fight Khabib as he had more money in his bank account and with is business flourishing there is no point in returning if you are not prepared to take on an undefeated wrestler and he did not back up his big words before the fight and was completely humiliated and now his fans cannot accept the defeat which is cringe worthy  Tongue Cheesy.
The main difference is Dustin Poirier learns with every fight and adjust according to his opponent but Conor just have the same style since i started watching him fight and not much improvement either.

To be honest I also think Mcgregor was in pretty bad shape after not fighting for 2 years, it's only expected. It doesn't matter if no one forced him to fight, facts are facts, clearly he was not in his best shape.
176  Economy / Reputation / Re: I am making an exception for game-protect, will you do the same? on: September 04, 2019, 11:28:14 PM
@Royse you could save your time and sanity just putting him on ignore. Its great tool which does wonder sometimes. I do this all the times, putting on ignore and then unignore after some time when I am bored af and only for lolz. Repeat cycle

Yeah, you could easily put him on ignore but that doesn't really solve the problem. He should be banned, period.

He should have been banned a long time ago, it's funny how this forum operates sometimes, they instantly ban people for copy-pasting but hesitate to ban an obvious troll, shitty poster, scam artist and trust abuser. Pretty weird.

Unfortunately I believe GP is viewed more as a "service" provider, than a plain troll & shitty poster.
Hiding behind his offers and a few of his posts being directly aimed at some gambling game operators so they explain what they do better.

It's half/half. Because he relies on bulying some gambling games operators, some end up giving him money so he stops, and the rest won't care.

Now from the point of view of the moderation team, it's a tough spot because as long as they consider him as a "service" provider, I think they won't do anything.
Since scams aren't moderated (banned), GP benefits from this kind of "immunity".
He isn't the random scam artist, he put a lot of time into designing it and he's at it almost daily.

He needs to constantly keep a blurred line between a "business" and being a bully. Which you got to admit, he's doing a great job at.

I remember once he wanted to "hire" a sales manager (or whatever lunatic position he can think of). Well guess how this went when he was asked for the location of his offices. Tongue

Does it matter if he is viewed as a service provider? Trolling is trolling and that's actually against the rules.
177  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [US] Mass shooting [mega-thread]; Days Since Last Mass Shooting [1] on: September 04, 2019, 07:22:27 PM
Love idiots that think open carry will prevent mass shootings.

Texas is probably the heaviest gun open carry state, yet they've had what? 3 mass shootings in the past week?

Right, wouldn't you want to have a gun or rifle with you when someone else is trying to murder you? What if you are in the middle of a mass shooting, what are you going to do? Yell they need a better education? lol, welcome to the real world.

Fails to explain how "more guns" is the solution. Texas is already armed to the teeth and its a mass shooter's go-to spot. 5 of the 25 deadliest mass shootings in America have been in Texas. Obviously people have the right to protect themselves -- nobody is saying they don't. But perhaps America should attempt to make it just a bit more difficult for nutcases to get their hands on guns? Just a thought.

According to many statistics, guns prevent a ton of crimes: https://fee.org/articles/guns-prevent-thousands-of-crimes-every-day-research-show/

''But perhaps America should attempt to make it just a bit more difficult for nutcases to get their hands on guns?'' And you think making it harder for people to acquire guns will somehow prevent mass shootings?, let's say a state has 1 million people, 200k are legally armed. If the state implements a law to stop people from buying guns, the number of people legally armed should drop to 0. Nutcases, however, will still be able to buy guns, they are nutcases, obviously they don't care about the law. So what you get in return is:

Good people with no guns

Nutcases with pretty much the same amount of guns

Outcome? Far worse.
