1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron and Waves team up to develop DeFi projects on: October 17, 2020, 11:53:56 PM
Official information - https://medium.com/@TronFoundation/tron-and-waves-aim-to-reach-mass-adoption-of-inter-chain-defi-via-gravity-83273cb5818b

First, let me remind you what DEFI is

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is a new movement that could revolutionize the way people work with capital and assets. Starting out as an area that focused exclusively on cryptocurrency loans, staking, and algorithmic stablecoins, DeFi is rapidly evolving into a full-fledged infrastructure for money management, including non-crypto capital (also known as tokenized Forex and stocks).

Tron and Waves team up to develop DeFi projects

The TRON Foundation and Waves have announced a partnership to connect their blockchain networks using the Gravity protocol and interoperate smart contracts written in Ride and Solidity.

Together, Waves and TRON are using Gravity to connect the smart contract languages of their respective blockchains: Ride and Solidity. Gravity is a blockchain and token-independent oracle with a cross-chain communication network. TRON and Waves are creating a bridge across Gravity that will enable both ecosystems to improve service accessibility for two user bases.

Although these platforms use blockchains with various types of consensus, native tokens ($TRX/$WAVES), wallets (TronLink/Keeper), and smart contract languages (Solidity / Ride), thanks to the development of the Gravity protocol. , this symbiotic collaboration becomes possible. Gravity, being an oracle and cross-chain communication network independent of blockchains and tokens, will initially support two smart contract languages: Ride and Solidity.

What will TRON and Waves achieve together?

1. TRON and Waves will establish a bridge across Gravity that will allow both ecosystems to thrive together.
2. TRON and Waves will collaborate on the following cooperation and integration schemes:

- $ TRX, $ BTT, $ JST and other TRC-20 tokens such as $ TRON-USDT will be available on the Waves blockchain through seamless decentralized gateways (Gravity swap) and automatically listed on DEX Waves (e.g. waves.exchange), which means that traders and developers from the Waves ecosystem will be able to trade, store and use TRC-20 tokens.
- Conversely, $ WAVES, $ USDN, $ NSBT, $ WEST and other Waves ecosystem tokens will be available on the Tron blockchain through Gravity and automatically listed on TRON's DEX and DeFi services (such as TronTrade or PoloniDex), which means that traders and developers from the Tron ecosystem will be able to trade, store, and use Waves-based tokens.
- DApp developers TRON and Waves will be able to use Gravity oracle data transfer services.
- $ TRON-USDT <-> $ USDN seamless swap services will be introduced. Such applications will allow users to manage various strategies for storing stablecoins, including $ USDT on the TRON blockchain as the fastest and cheapest way to transfer stablecoins and $ USDN as a stablecoin.
- Developers from both ecosystems will be able to create modern cross-chain decentralized applications that will run on both chains (expandable to other chains with Gravity) via user-preferred wallets and browser extensions.

Tron has taken serious steps to create the necessary infrastructure for DeFi to flourish, and nearly $ 4 billion has been issued on the TRON blockchain as proof of their commitment. The scope of collaboration between Waves and Tron is not limited to the above list of integrations, where research and prototyping is already underway. We believe that the Tron and Waves ecosystems can revolutionize the interchain DeFi industry by implementing and expanding this trend to other blockchain ecosystems.

Do you think Waves and Tron will be able to make a new main platform for creating new defi projects, become more popular than the Ethereum blockchain?

Im definitely looking forward with this collaboration, it seems promising. I sure hope they make something more, not just popular, but better than the eth blockchain ang make a difference in gas prices. Eth is getting out of hand.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: October 17, 2020, 11:46:25 PM
Hello, according to the website: blockchaincenter.net, these cryptocurrencies are most searched among cryptocurrencies:
1.  Bitcoin (80,8%)
2. Ethereum (14%)
3. XRP (8%) followed by Litecoin (4,7%), Bitcoin Cash (2,7%), IOTA (2,5%), Monero (2,1%), Tron (1,8%), Dogecoin (1,8%) and Cardano (1,5%).

They processed information based on Google Trends.

When you compare it with the market cap, then where is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, EOS or Binance Coin?  Shocked

I wouldnt say its proper to depend on market cap when youre about to compare coins and their value. Its just like theyre printing money from nothing and tipping the very core of currency.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Defi scams on: October 17, 2020, 03:24:29 PM
https://amplyfi.money/: Rug pulled after collecting 2,500 ETH from investors. Their social media and websites are gone

Beer Garden Finance: Founder holds over 50% of the token supply in his personal wallet. When our community asked for more details such as a github link for the project, or timelocks for the tokens they were banned from the Telegram group.

Burn Vault Finance ($BFV): Allegedly rug pulled. Their Telegram and social media no longer exist.

CBDAO ($BREE): The project had a presale for $SBREE tokens which would be swapped for $BREE. One of the admin wallets exploited a backdoor in the SBREE token contract, minted 50,000 SBREE, converted it to BREE and sold it on the market, pushing down the price of BREE at the expense of other holders. The 50,000 BREE was sold for under 200 ETH.

Degenballz: staking may steal 1% of your LP tokens.

Emerald Mine (EMD): User tokens worth nearly USD$2.5mil that were supposedly locked under a smart contract were moved to another account. Fortunately, cryptocurrency exchange ChangeNow managed to stop the sale of 135,020 EOS. However, this only represents a small fraction of the total amount stolen.

http://lv.finance/: Falsified audit results, after investors deposited their funds in they found they were unable to withdraw. The team has disappeared.

Minions Farm: Has cute Minions but will access all your assets when you connect your wallet to the Minions Wallet site.

https://steaks.finance/: Developers apparently had trouble interacting with their own timelock. Though some consider it may be due to a problem with their code rather than ill-intentions.

http://tomatoes.finance/: Hacker triggered simple permission granting and withdrew tokens.

UniCat ($MEOW): Back door in smart contracts allowed UniCat to keep control over users’ tokens even after they were withdrawn from the pool. Around USD$200,000 worth of crypto has supposedly been stolen.

Unirocket ($URCKT): Apparently rug-pulled, cannot be located on social media.

http://yfdex.finance/: Project promoted themselves on Twitter for 2 days, took a total of USD$20mil of investor funds and absconded.

PAL Network Exit Scam

https://medium.com/@palnetwork_/pal-network-concludes-blockchain-project-pledges-remaining-funds-to-world-vision-5e3b72d0724c

I have never been a part and or encountered any of the listed scams, thank the universe. Its good to know now tho beforehand, its easier to stay clear from these scams.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: October 17, 2020, 01:15:51 PM
If i had a thousand dollars at my disposal i would spend it on noia. They did well a month ago, and kind of regretting not to buy tokens from them. I was already staring at noia about to purchase and then i thought not yet, id wait for it to get even lower and then the next day it tripled then quadrupled until it went full times 9. Regrets i say.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why FOMO isn't as bad as people make it seem. on: October 17, 2020, 10:30:57 AM
The simple rule is "buy at the bottom and sell at the top". But i don't think this applies to all coins, it only applies to solid coins like bitcoin, ethereum and the likes, because they have stood the test of time and would surely find their way back up. But most of these new coins, if you buy at the bottom, the price might still go lower and keep you trapped there. so it is better to wait and see a clear move up before you get on the train to avoid fake outs.

Traders should know when to buy or to sell and own up to it. But the thing is, no one actually "knows", specially with coins so volatile. I still wouldnt blame traders who buy because of the fear of missing out tho, after all, if they took the chance, they might also profit from it.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Token on: October 17, 2020, 09:16:44 AM
Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?

Uniswap still isnt the top exchange so scam tokens will stay make its way to get inside it. the best way to avoid investing or buying scam tokens is to get to uniswaps legit list of tokens and see if the contacts match. also avoid tokens with anonymous teams behind them.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: the cheater bounty participants began to act again on: October 17, 2020, 02:29:34 AM
I have read cheater bounty participants and have to immediately share my experience. I got kicked out of a bounty because someone cheated of me, this someone copied my wallet and posted it as theirs. And ive imvested so much time in that project only to be kicked out.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you join to Graph ICO ? on: October 16, 2020, 02:38:20 PM
There is a big upcoming ICO called https://thegraph.com/ , It has a whitelist and cap for individual investing is between 1000$ to 5000$ , Some big websites like Uniswap, Synthetix, Aragon, etc are using the graph product in their websites, I want to know if anyone else is interested in it or you have found it scammy? if yes why so?

If there are known platforms that use it i might just consider checking it out. But the thing about this ico is its kinda hard to get it since so many has been trying to get it even using dupe accounts.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise of BCH on: October 16, 2020, 11:55:15 AM
How about investing in Bitcoin cash? I came through an article and it's performance is amazing from couple of months, and I would suggest everyone to have a look on this as BCH is all set to become the new rockstar of the market and yes grayscale investors have released the profit results of this last quarter as well, guys even now there is a lot of time left to us for investment. think and plan accordingly.

https://news.bitcoin.com/grayscale-1-billion-crypto-bitcoin-cash/

bitcoin cash certainly does look good for future investments. considering its promising use as both for trading and daily use, I don't see why it would not fly specially with the users of ETH and BTC.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My best investment strategy on: October 16, 2020, 04:20:32 AM
The best technique for building a strong crypto portfolio is to mix things up.
Survival in this market landscape is reliant on adaptability.
you choose what to do depending on how we see the market.
Sometimes you buy and hold for the long term, other times, you take short time trades to get big profit.
I Also take some calculated risks on new projects BTC

I have had as much as 200 different tokens in my wallet before and have decided to get rid of some of them since theyre not looking any promising. However keeping a diverse portfolio is a good strategy if youre not a passive investor.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 15, 2020, 04:56:47 PM
I know many project managers that handles good projects such as Jamalezaz, bounty detective, and many others most of them are either hero members or legend, I believe they have enough experience to handle it mere considering their ranks, not to say the rank is the only criteria to be a good project manager.i always doubt those project starters with newbie ranks.is it that they decide to use a new forum page,or were the restarting after being hacked or disqualified or how come a new be is handling a project? This are few questions that comes to my mind about newbie managers.

I think as long as the project itself is sustainable, is realistic and the project initiators have some experience with other projects beforehand then why not. If they were people who worked before on past projects and decided to create their own, why not, they have the experience for it atleast.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: October 15, 2020, 04:04:43 PM
bitcoin is techically more superior then ETH ,yes but the use cases are bigger for etheruem now!

real utility for ETH ARE BIGGER.

ETH: defi, icos, dapps, stable coins.
also the very good liquitity !!

BITCOIN ?

yes you can buy thigns with btc but so you can do with ETH.

I have stopped comparing btc to ethereum now really. Eth has been making ranks and trying to catch up with bitcoin for a really long time now and truly, i see it pointless to compare them considering they both have their strengths and its pointless to compare anything with btc.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: October 15, 2020, 02:36:34 PM
Some bounty managers have been known to promote scam projects and I believe because they have users who rush to sign up, they keep being agents of scam project and not escrowing rewards.
More is that, the reasons bounty has been paying shit is because you rushing over it and they decide to list below, compare it with 2017 coins.

I believe some users are getting worried and fade up on lack of fulfilment of bounty promises at the end because the promises are not met as you either get scammed or the worth of your thousand units is = to a dollar ($1) at the end of many weeks.

When you work for months and dump total worth for $15 (rare case) if you get up to that, you have just paid for your data usage. What about your time? Inconveniences etc.

They take advantage of hunters that participated and not pay reward with different excuses which are :

1. KYC introduced while it was not started from beginning:
Know your customer is actually not necessary in a decentralized setting, all you need is to guide yourself or company because decentralized system should guarantee freedom. Why then introduce it at the end, to prevent participants from receiving their labour. I believe most times, this is to push out because if they are genuine, they should state it clearly from beginning that KYC is a necessary factor to receive reward. Example is bubbalex, his bounty has been one of the most sincere type I have read, from beginning to end is the way it is done. To
time for listing, times and dates for distribution.
All information about the growth of the project in different SM channels, medium, Twitter, telegram. No KYC introduced at the beginning and to the end.

2.The excuses of launch of website, app, main net, sales , soft cap are all reason you should understand you are wasting your time especially when you get shit pay.

What you can do if you like the project and you are not sure of  the promises

Save up to buy if you don't have money, you can wait for it when it is listed and dumped, you buy cheap.

If you have not checked this thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230885.msg53975958#msg53975958

I would like to add that not only scam bounty projects can waste your time. Ive experienced once in a seemingly legit project to be kicked out of the project itself for their shit security. Some a-hole copied my wallet and posted it as theirs, even tho i havent missed a single task ive been kicked out for having double accounts, which i dont. Its just sht security that threw my hardwork to the dumps.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is DeFi over? then old coins revolution ? on: October 15, 2020, 01:48:33 PM
Is the Defi really over tho? I think we will be seeing Defi still even in the end of 2021, the hype subsided maybe but the projects are still going for some. Scammers would be pissed if the hype ended quickly god forbid
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: October 10, 2020, 03:02:59 PM
As much decietful and extremely misleading social media cam get in deciminating information, it is a vital role in communicating with other people and being able to get to know your products more thoroughly, you just have to be extra careful on who to trust.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: October 10, 2020, 02:59:46 PM
when patience is being tested,
what are you doing in this market, is your routine still the same as usual or change other options?
selling at a low price is the same as selling a loss, and that is not a good solution. if you are a market player, you will know how to survive or take advantage of the market in any condition.

I never sell when the market is bad or if its in a bear run because that would just be losing. I only sell when the market is going down when i feel like theres no hope for the project, better sell it than hoard useless coins.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: October 10, 2020, 02:17:14 PM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.

When i first started i was advised to not buy coins from btc first since i didnt have a huge amount of money to notice if my investment did a return due to the high price of btc also when it goes down it goes down fast. But if you were one of the lucky ones on 2017, you wouldve benefitted from this volatile characteristic of btc.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is to be the beginning of the rise of cryptocurrency on: October 10, 2020, 02:06:59 PM
Will this be the beginning of a revival for cryptocurrencies because there are so many projects and project developments using blockchain technology

Are you referring to the pandemic kicking off a surge in the crypto currency market or are you talking about DeFi or the other overhyped new thing? Because any of those, the answer would be yes.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Faith of cryptocurrency after this pandemic period. on: October 10, 2020, 01:11:36 PM
With so many people just discovering crypto during this pandemic i would say the crypto future is bright. More people are more interested therefore more investors for future projects.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Bubble Burst? on: October 10, 2020, 12:50:14 PM
We have witnessed a massive popularity regarding DeFi projects, but it's seems that DeFi hype is over. For the past week DeFi tokens plunged massively.

Loses over the last week:
Chainlink: 12%
Aave: 19.5%
Uniswap: 32%
Yearn.Finance: 44%
Compound: 20%
Uma:33%

Read more: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/nl/news/defi-tokens-plunge-in-a-wide-sell-off-is-this-the-defi-bubble-burst

I never thought that the hype would end up this soon. I mean considering the amount of projects that switched to DeFi, this is unforeseen. Youd think it would stick much longer.
