New release: Auroracoin 2018.09.1.0

With great joy we announce a new release of the Auroracoin core wallet. It is the result of the development we have done for over a year. With this release we improved a lot of poor programmed code and improved on standardization for future development. We added support for newer versions of libraries that the Auroracoin core wallet uses, including Openssl version 1.1 and the latest version of miniupnpc, while maintaining backward compatibility for older versions. The build system also had its fair share of improvements, making building for Windows and MacOSX easier.

so now that the discussion on leaving bittrex is closed and settled, who can we blame for the price that keeps dropping?

You will have to wait until biomike is done selling.  Angry I don't blame him but the court case against him must be "fake" as it was claimed to be coming from a community member.

@Biomike can you clarify if this was a "fake news" threat?

I don't know. This community member send me another PM explaining that Rijk is pulling a long history of "things" together and see who he can hold accountable for. It also seem to extend beyond the BCT threads.

As you are closer to Rijk than I am (I assume you (can) speak to him in the Gulden Slack), I guess you can better ask him if it's fake or not. I would to love to hear his reply.

As for selling all my Gulden, it is going through my thoughts the past few days. I've stopped selling weeks ago, as I do most of it through Litebit and.. well, they were in maintenance mode. But to be honest, my confidence in Gulden has reached an all-time low.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The even greater Gulden thread! on: August 23, 2018, 10:05:29 AM
So, it seems Rijk and his dad are preparing a court case and I'm asked
to distance myself from RichPissman. I could put a pointless, single line
claim here, but I don't do that, as it isn't my style. I thought I've
always been very clear towards my stance regarding Gulden en Rijk, which
partially overlaps with RichPissman's opinion. This is due to my history
with Rijk and Gulden in general.

I have no issues with Gulden and and have said it before multiple times that
Gulden in essence is a good idea and I would love to see it succeed. Yet, I
don't agree that the path chosen in the past few years is the right one.

In this part I disagree with Rijk and the dev team. We had and probably still
have different opinions about that. Also, how I saw how he managed things
it became clear to me that he and I have quite different personalities and
those would collide. Currently, I don't see myself cooperating with him or have
the need to have Rijk as a friend.

So far the things that I and RichPissman most likely have in common. My sayings
and actions come from the background described above, not because of RichPissman
or anyone else on the forum.

As for the way RichPissman expresses himself, I personally would never do it in
such strong words. Again, not my style. I always try to have discussions on the
subject that is being discussed and matters, not on a person himself. If
however a person does something that I don't agree with, I have the freedom of
speech to say something about that. This person is free to respond and explain
his actions. In this I always try to respect the person himself, whether this is
Rijk, RichPissman or anyone else.

Probleem is natuurlijk dat je ook niet echt weet wat banken precies zullen vragen.

Update: Ik wacht nog steeds op een reactie van de bank.

is it a new altcoin or some new vocabulary from this bitcointalk forum, because I just heard that. can anyone explain it here?

Check out this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4937333.msg44502180#msg44502180

It contains more information regarding Gulden. The rest is just derailed discussion.

2 you know you break law and could do jail time for it

In the Netherlands you do not go to jail for everything so i am really anxious what he did what he should go to jail for  Huh Roll Eyes

Nothing, that jail thing was made up by JimJimJimJim.

To bad we had to close the previous thread. It shows that some people use legal threats to force their will. Although I have my doubts these threats are real, I'd rather not risk them. All I wanted was some decent discussion, but it seems some people can't handle that.

that you close it show that you know you and your pissman friend crosed legal boundary otherwise you would not close, be man and admit

Let me tell you how it went:
1) I got a PM (that mentioned RichPissman) from a member from the Gulden community threatening me legally to close the thread.
2) Replied that I would think about it and that I would contact RichPissman, if he wanted to have it closed earlier he should have contacted a forum mod.
3) I PM'ed RichPissman explaining the situation.
4) I closed the thread. RichPissman had already opened this thread.
5) PM'ed member from point 1 that I closed the thread, just like he asked me to do.

No legal boundary has been crossed from my side, just (possibly fake) legal threats by a member from the Gulden community. My real ID is known on this forum and I just don't have the time to spend time on such lingering bullshit. That's why I closed the thread.

not fool anyone, how it went 1 you get PM 2 you know you break law and could do jail time for it 3 you close thread 4 you not man so you no admit and instead let anon friend pissman takeover the slander

Dude, jail time... seriously? Hint: Not every "law breaking" results in jail time.

Back on-topic... so we have our SegSig release, what can we expect next from the Devs?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 22, 2018, 10:24:27 AM
Well, apparently it had to come to this.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 21, 2018, 03:20:02 PM
yeah on this open and free channel you are getting a lot of acclaim on this statement :-)

like i said: nobody in my closed ward cares

Does Rijk even know you are on the forbidden forum? Hasn't he already made you all put it in your blacklist?

I go for the alternative: Rijk sends people here from time to time to try to pull people to his slack instead of here and
have some bullshit discussion about nothing. Apparently the people in the Gulden Slack care about what's being discussed
here.

@johnny As for Auroracoin, development (in my spare time) is still going strong. The fact that you can't find it... well...
you're not in Iceland and you are not really interested. Now, back on-topic, Gulden.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 21, 2018, 12:56:04 PM
so people who keep trashing Gulden are now explaining that you should convince people why Gulden is good and people should buy it

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA x 1.000.000

Because i do not agree how Rijk Handles things i am trashing Gulden?

I hope Gulden will still make it because otherwise it will cost me a lot of money but as you also see the price goes down hard something must happen.

Rijk his 60M premined Gulden are "only" worth less then 1,8 million now

Maybe we can find out he still has them or that he has dumped them?

Can you ask on Gulden slack if he has an address where those 60M Gulden are on.  That would be good for transparency

so you think what you are doing here is helping Gulden make it? And since all the anonymous complainers are the same , this is probably not the only place were your spill out the trash. Some fake twitter accounts, telegram, etc. And then you telling other people here what they should do to make Gulden bigger? So it won't costs you your money? You really live in a selfcentric bubble mate. You can go ask on the Gulden slack yourself.

@johnnybraveau, all the "trolls" here would love to have Gulden accepted everywhere and it's price not in the gutter where it currently is. Most of them, including me, even helped Gulden at some point to get it somewhere. But most of us got tired of Rijk's bullcrap over and over again. If Rijk knows so well on how to handle this, let him do it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 16, 2018, 09:59:34 AM
The problem with this coin is there is no discussion about branching outside of Netherlands.  There is a huge market in the U.S. but it seems like nothing is being done to branch out.

The only branching out was drop the focus on the Netherlands a few years ago... Shoot for the stars!!! Because we missed the moon!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 12, 2018, 09:29:58 AM
Can we make a statement about not wanting to leave Bittrex by putting massive walls on either exchange?

Did that in the past, didn't work.

I wonder if that actually would work... request Bittrex to get delisted. Has any coin done that successfully in the past?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 12, 2018, 08:19:37 AM
Where do those Gulden come from?

Free monies, sold at profit.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: August 11, 2018, 12:44:25 PM
I just put in Openssl v1.1 support: https://github.com/aurarad/Auroracoin/commit/2ba591fa31067e7367d1872a0a0c7f135b460af5

It builds, but hasn't been tested during runtime. If you want to test it, make sure you backup your wallet and perform small transactions only.

Time to buy Gulden. The double bottom is formed. Sky will be reached in a few hours.

You better be right because Rijk has added a poll for gulden to be disconnected from btc, btc pairings is blamed on guldens euro price drop because bitcoin price is dropping.

**** [4:03 PM]
what would the impact be if disconnected from BTC?
**** [4:03 PM]
no longer falling down when bitcoin price falls down

Is there a way to prove btc pairings are not holding gulden euro prices down?

It's a positive for Gulden and will help the price be stable. Others like Biomike are wanting this for a long time.

I don't say that NLG and BTC should be disconnected. NLG and EUR pairing should get their shit together and be more important than NLG-BTC. But all the NLG fanboys are looking at BTC and seeing it drop, but instead of starting to buy NLG for BTC, they sell it against EUR as well.

So I contacted Litebit regarding their Gulden wallet being in maintenance for a few days now, their reply in Dutch:

Quote

In English: they are having issues regarding integrating it with their own systems and are in close contact with the Gulden development team to find a solution. No indication regarding when it will be back up again.

Is this the reason they have not done any marketing?

is your low iq the reason you can only think about one thing?

You guys on slack live in a bubble.

This has NOTHING to do with marketing or not. Some people asked here why Litebit is in maintenance mode for the past few days, I contacted them and this was their reply.
