1. Can we do like that :Power 0.9 V -> pin1 VDDIO [ chip N] pin42 VDDIO -> pin1 VDDIO [chip N+1], without connection on PCB between pin1 and pin 42 on the same ASIC
2. VDDPLL is pin 14 ; pin 29 is NC(not connected). Can we use pin 29 for VDDPLL to the next ASIC
3. The NC (not connected ) pins do they have some function ( i.e. Inputs, Outputs etc.)

[Why there are 3 Clock Configuration words]: Because there ~4000 cores inside the Avalon4 28nm. so we split those 4000 cores to three group. then we can make the three group work at different clock. this is a great design I think. that can make all core work at best condition base on voltage and clock. I will update your questions to wiki(en.bitcoin.it/wiki/avalon4) then others can see the answers. BTW: I have forward your question to mailing list. Please check this URL: http://downloads.canaan-creative.com/, It have the correct firmware under the machine name. Xiangfu I recently acquired an Avalon 2 (200GH) clone and want to update software. Do I just download this file....openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr703n-v1-squashfs-factory.bin.....or others as well within the folder...never done it before I am an Avalon newbie.....thanks |

I'm not terribly familiar with programming FPGAs - and I'm sure I'm not alone on that. Are there some simple instructions describing equipment required, and how to program?

Do you foresee any problem programming the FPGA on 3rd party 'clone' avalon miners (e.g. lketc's avalon3 miner)? They seem to have much different electronics layout and it is quite possible that they tweak the source to match their design (it's impossible to tell for sure, as they do not provide source code).
lketc's avalon3 miner do use MM from Avalon (direct download from http://downloads.canaan-creative.com). they didn't change anything. The major differences is OpenWrt update to r38031 and update Cgminer to latest(Version: 3.4.3 Latest commit: d5f61e9, Sep 22 2013) you can see that at the ChangeLog  https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon#20130923Thanks Xiangfu! My question is what are the major differences between ckolivas' 20130821 and this new xiangfu 20130923? I did run xiangfu's 20130723 for a bit on my Batch 3 just fine, but I've been happy with 20130821 so I am not exactly itching to change...
Seem like both Xiangfu and cklovias use OpenWRT r37008 but the new one upgrades cgminer 3.4.0 to 3.4.4?

You can use taobao.com. but it's not cool at all. the key is not about 1块, you know this website cannot even cover the cost  the key is we have such website in China. then what we want do with this website? what feature do you want on such website? 点卡？Ｑ币？ Please give us feedback and don't compare Btctelecom with taobao.com. it's such different thing.
