IRS has defined Bitcoin and similar coins as property. So the ROS to Fly exchange was property exchange not, securites sold (I will give you 1 Mickey Mantle card for 2 Roberto Clemente cards). Vegas sold his own FLY to Private buyers (he can sell his baseball cards) again, property not securities. Since he has income and expenses - orig. cost of ROS, cost of graphics, coders, etc., he will need to talk to his accountant on how much tax loss he can claim. Property trading invokes a Barter system. Barter is taxable in da US of Ripoff, where Vegas resides. https://www.irs.gov/uac/Bartering-Income-The-Value-of-Property-or-Services-You-Receive Every fly received in superfly would be taxable to Vegas, and since ya require members to make some effort to be on da team, it can not be claimed as charity, but will be deemed payment for required efforts , even when giving out from da wallet.  And if da superfly wallet classifieds him as an exchange, dem he is already in da hole. Barter exchanges. A barter exchange is an organized marketplace where members barter products or services. Some operate out of an office and others over the Internet. All barter exchanges are required to issue Form 1099-B, Proceeds from Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions. Exchanges must give a copy of the form to its members who barter each year. And... what I "spew(ed)" was that the IRS has ruled Bitcoin as property which is not hard to verify. |

I am thinking through some of the ideas presented here and trying to visualize it in code. May take some time for me to figure out the best way to implement certain things. In the mean time, I see someone got a superblock!! Reward is 99.99% with no transaction fees in that block. so they must have hit the 0.5% chance of 2x reward bracket  http://presstab.pw/phpexplorer/FLY/block.php?height=25881 I hit the block But my next transaction - showing as 37 confirmations - is showing as MINUS a similar amount !! SuperBlock Minted 10.38206948 Minted -10.1409257That doesn't seem right. Will my wallet really take back most of my SuperBlock??? Help Ok it looks like you did hit the 2x reward. I will personally guarantee you will get your correct reward amount whatever it is. Consider this: Your using blocks of 10 mostly. Your normal reward is about 0.2216 for a block of 10. So you were rewarded about 0.242 which im not sure if its correct or not. Presstab will need to look at this. Whats happening is the mechanics of the superblock is being displayed (and it should be hidden) and it should just be the final reward displayed. This is what is causing the confusion. Vegas Yes - this was discussed way back in the thread. The minus is the input block size. The reward shown is the Block plus POS. It is a display problem. Since they are rare (superblocks) this is the 1st I have seen to show there is a continuing display problem. |

So far the majority think XDE should just die or
find someone to work for free - while they benefit.
If people were going to step up, they would have a long time ago.
Those voting to let it die should not bother coming to the thread to complain.
If they want it dead, they can just delete their wallets - and they solve their problem.

I have a little less than 3 XDE and am a proposed team member, should the swap go through.
It is somewhere a couple of pages back where I first posted.
On a different thread (can't remember which) they were begging for funds to pay for the explorer which had expired.
Everyone wanted one but, no one was donating. Finally, 2 others and myself donated the BTC so all of
the coin holders could benefit. Most just complained that it expired and expected the dev. to pay forever.
Then, I noticed several more coins in the same situation - well known coins that have been around for a long time.
Coins should be set up to pay for all the expenses or else they will continue to die i.e. Special wallet where the POS
pays the costs involved or a portion of Tx funds to POS and a portion to on-going expenses and development
That is the businesses are built in the real world - income, expenses & profits. While it is nice to hope that developers
would step up and a community would donate time and money yearly, history shows this is not the case. Those that step up
are rare. It is why this coin stagnated and most others have failed.
Just one opinion.

I agree the burning of unclaimed XDE is the way to go
and am glad that was the final decision. There will be the inevitable
person that misses the swap. So everyone please let people know.

I agree 100% with burning the unclaimed XDE. It was one of the
topics of discussion in the developers slack the past 3 days.
We also discussed having a much longer redemption period
but, that has many problems.
