assuming that an ascending/descending triangle pattern is always bearish/bullish will get you into trouble, i promise.

too bad such an awful character idolizes such a great one: Max Stirner is some serious business
1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: April 23, 2012, 06:51:20 AM
this was really weird. rally from $5.20 to $5.50, then retrace back to $5.20? Looks more like a bubble than a rally. perhaps echo bubble 4. sideways with a slow grind up due to buying pressure seems the most likely near-future forecast.
1284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: April 22, 2012, 04:37:54 PM
This rally is definitely on hold for a while.

just like it would definitely be below $5 again when you woke up in the morning?
1285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: April 22, 2012, 03:57:23 PM
Every time someone says something like this, it seems they're proven wrong. I'm going to mine BTC right now and hold them, but I'm also going to hold onto the USD from when I cashed out at $5.40. I'm not buying unless we get close to $4, but I'm also not selling until we hit more than $6.

every time someone says something like 'every time someone says something like this, x happens' they're usually proven wrong. just saying.

someone making a single post on a forum is less indicative than a butterfly's wings.

bought out or taken down?
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: major breakout imminent! on: April 20, 2012, 08:01:27 AM
back on track with a reference to the OP:

-- ADX is around a 3-month low

-- Bollinger Width at a 3-month low

and some charts:

as is apparent and was predicted by the OP, we now see inflections in both of the aforementioned indicators. due to the insanely stable price these past few months, we should expect, statistically, large price movement hereafter, and the recent bullish movement suggests that the previously trendless market has chosen a direction.

new prediction: resistance at $5.20 will be broken within a week (7 days from today). i provided targets in the "Rally!!!!" thread.

again, for anyone interested in a subscription-type service, i'd be happy to provide if there is interest and am willing to beat the prices of the three that are already running.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: April 20, 2012, 06:06:23 AM
this rally is seriously losing steam. small correction upcoming. some targets: 5.0x, retest 5.20 wall, $5.10, and then hopefully through $5.20 to the moon xP

i didn't insult others' intelligences. i teased about how in the past people have mocked my own for the predictions i've made. don't put me in the same boat.

I didn't put you in the same boat, just pointed out that neither of us walk on water... but meh, I'll just tell you what you want to hear so you'll shut up and the thread can move on.

You're better than me.

this isn't about who's better at all Undecided

but i agree the thread ought to move on.

No... anyone who was blindsided by that needs to learn to trade.

your arrogance is unbecoming of a trader.

Ok... if you missed it you need to zoom out and quit looking at only the 5 day chart.  Is that better?

i didn't miss anything. i'm the OP. the charts i posted are 3-month scale. anything else? just because you didn't miss it doesn't make you better than anyone else, it just makes you more money. all i meant is that your comment made you out as a prick.

big bullish move today... exciting times as promised :-)

::: jumps up and down with excitement :::

I guess this would be the euphoria phase of the investor emotion cycle?  or perhaps right before

this is hope

also, we should all probably just put cunicula on ignore because all we're doing is bumping this FUDlicious thread.
1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fail when the block reward drops to 25BTC? on: April 18, 2012, 03:05:26 PM
Persistence of the status quo when a major change occurs should be assumed and does not need to be supported by argument. Nice, please continue. I've discovered that the best method of discrediting you comes from just getting you to respond. The revealed idiocy is so extreme that any thinking person necessarily perceives it.

Arguing with you is not a good strategy. The audience here is not sufficiently intelligent to follow a logical argument. It is like speaking in a foreign language. Or like US politics. Logical arguments are simply ignored and have no impact (watch I'll try in the next post). It is easier and more effective to goad one's opponent into writing something blatantly foolish.

this:

Honestly why do you talk like this? What is the purpose of these posts I keep seeing where you just insult people and provide 0 useful or interesting info?

and this:

Good. Then you should stop.

also,

While "persistence of the status quo when a major change occurs should be assumed and does not need to be supported by argument," may not be true, that your specific scenario should play out is still a positive claim. Are you completely unfamiliar with the concept of burden of proof? Are you some kind of creationist or something?
1297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fail when the block reward drops to 25BTC? on: April 18, 2012, 02:38:09 PM
It's impossible to know how the block reward drop will affect everything exactly but talking about "failing" is absolute FUD.

This talk of FUD is such bullshit. Explain why it won't happen asshat. Don't just call it FUD. That is just so weak!

The price will rise...

Anyone who knows any economics realizes that there is no reason to expect more than a minuscule price increase (say 1-3% per annnum) from the drop in block reward. Adding a healthy serving of ass to your reply does not lend you credibility.

(addressing the audience) You should take these kinds of bullshit arguments as a tacit admission of extreme weakness.

it is FUD because you've given meager to no explanation in the OP about why you possibly think this specific horror scenario should play out. "explain why it WON'T happen, asshat" are words which come out of the mouth of someone trying to avoid the burden of proof. you made the claim, the onus is on you. BTC is trading at $5 a piece right now, so "BITCOIN WILL FAIL" claims are indeed positive claims, not the opposite.

do you have any evidence at all to believe what you wrote in the OP?
