rally is clearly postponed. but not cancelled. the recent price action has been mostly manipulated. it's nice to see a stable price range ($5.00 - $7.00) though. i feel that the move to $7 was a correction from the falling knife to $2, and that we're gearing up for another rally. why? because that's what bitcoin does, and i'm starting to smell panic around here...

1402  Economy / Speculation / Re: $/BTC Time Series Analysis on: February 05, 2012, 09:55:50 AM
combined with the recent market resilience to the small correction back to $5.70, i'd say it looks rather bullish
1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the pessimism? on: February 05, 2012, 09:53:07 AM
This was a major market force down so I think we are ready to ramp up.

Nope.  The only indicator that matters says go short.

you're very wrong. binary indicators are worthless, and your spamming the forums with this kind of post means that the market is likely already corrected for it.

Do you still think that this 'indicator' is worthless and market already corrected for it? It doesn't seem so Cheesy

fits and starts. still nowhere near the $5.00 lows we saw before the beginning of the Great Bitcoin Comeback. don't be so easily discouraged. this is one small drop after days of steady growth.
1404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there a wall at 6.01 right now? on: February 04, 2012, 06:28:12 PM
it's as good as any dam. soon, it will burst, and then -- bang, zoom, straight to the moon!
1405  Economy / Speculation / Re: one person with two accounts on Gox? on: February 04, 2012, 06:26:51 PM

which may be the point, i presume. the OP inquires about the feasibility of establishing two accounts on MtGox, and then trading with oneself such that one's volume meter exceeds the threshold for minimum fees.

what say you?
1406  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we still in this rally? on: February 04, 2012, 06:24:56 PM
Rally on you crazy bitcoin.

Sorry arepo but Leo in his analysis offers a precise and much more challenging proofs to his opinion than just words like:

I think Leo is only one person on that forum who has predicted correctly last moving up to 6.20.

excuse me?

No shits were posted. Therefore, you did not predict shit.

as cunicula suggested, i will now post shits [read: a short-term analysis plus charts]

Keeping in mind that throughout the course of this thread, i described and comprehensively charted the recent bubble-burst,

and then ended with a prediction of the rise from $5.25 -- now, four days ago.

Quote from: arepo link=topic=61354.msg724814#msg724814 date328047601
guys, let's get back to topic:

imminent knife is imminent.. or.. is it?

nope. almost every indicator has turned around since i made this post. im certain that $5.25 was the bottom, and we're continuing a massive trendline now undisturbed finally from the bubble over 7.

i invested accordingly and am currently holding ($5.90-$5.25)/$5.25 = 12% unrealized returns. how'd you guys do?

anyway:

-:-the accumulation/distribution line shows an unbroken uptrend behind the noise of the recent price volatility.

-:-the MACD is rather noisy at this scale, but there is a continuation pattern [read: triangle, for those of you into that, and the acc/dist's bullishness suggests a bullish breakout], and the most recent oscillation appears to be reaching a local minimum, suggesting a micro-term uptrend.

-:-clear reversal in the Average Directional Index, again suggesting a bullish breakout.

-:-and finally in the Aroon Up/Down, a bullish crossover just occurred.

in fact, the stage is set for the realization of my latest prediction:

price still looking healthy, (PVT stable, oscillators resuming an upswing). prediction: next leg up will break the resistance at $6.20.

--arepo

p.s. wait a second, that sounds familiar: price still looking healthy...

could it be that the quote with which i opened this post completely misrepresented me?
excuse me?

This particular binary indicator is apparently worth quite a lot and is working as well as it ever has.  Nobody has the guts to fight against the starfish.  Until somebody takes a huge risk with a lot of money the starfish is going to rule bitcoin trading land.

EXACTLY!

except, they are already testing the boundries as we speak..

this. all it takes is one big fish to swim buy and take all the single-indicator-following lemmings' money.

1412  Economy / Speculation / Re: leverage rally is done at 6.15-6.2 on: February 02, 2012, 10:19:13 PM
you guys have been talking about the starfish for ages. i don't even use bitcoinica and it's starting to get really annoying. if the indicator were indeed that clear-cut then the market would have corrected for it already -- you constantly talk about it on the forums.
1413  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF? on: February 02, 2012, 10:07:32 PM
Nice.  I sold everything.  Hope you did too.

S3052 Advices in his mailing to buy at 6.1 on the expectation of rally to 7.2.
He base this advice on the break of monthly SMA (which was done by a single buy).

To remain fair to people paying for the analysis, can you please stop sharing information from the paid service.

Thank you.

regardless, +1 on the call, i agree with your analysis.

Starfish indicator says long squeeze. Tongue

sorry, your one-dimensional indicator is much better than my price vs volume indicators, you're right.  Tongue

not nearly as much resistance, though. depth charts lie!
