So now almost everyone is a bear? Investor cycle says we are going up then. ok wake me up when we going up bro. awake yet? we've reached a short-term bottom.
I bought in at 97 So much for that whole Elliot wave thing... Grrrrr why you sad pretty soon people will be all like "damn i KNEW i should've bought under 100" i'm sick and tired of taking abuse, but no praise. i hope you TA-naysayers who wrote off my analysis because it was 'obvious' that we were going straight to $50 buy at the top of this minibull.

*10-day 2-hour scale* -===- we've reached a short-term bottom. rebound is likely, CCI will reach to its recent high (at about -50), and then likely bounce. this corresponds with a price of about $100. if we break through this resistance, we could see as high as $125, although mitigating factors like low liquidity on weekends may affect these values. -===- and we're off... -===-

Come on, Arepo's not been so bullish as you say - in fact he predicted "next stop, 90s" just a few days ago
I don't mind arepo, he looks like a nice guy so it's absolutely nothing personal (like I have with rpietila), I just think he is overvaluing himself and his chart reading. And posts with some authority tune that I don't find deserved. Anyone who made moves based on his chart reading in last 10 days got burned heavily if didn't react on events. Frankly, I don't agree. As I said earlier, he said the "next stop, 90s" quite clearly when we where well above $100 (I don't remember if we where already at $115 or still above $120). proofthanks, i wasn't gonna feed the troll. edit: also, nobody should by trading by my charts. i am not a financial adviser. i simply wish to share my analysis of the price, and assume that you use it to inform your trading at your own risk.

Arepo's back with his fancy talk - nowhere to be seen last 2 days after being utterly bullish with his predictions whole week before crash.
How the fuck these guys don't get bored and how they are brave enough to predict anything after being wrong time after time.
i post my analysis as a free service to the forum. if that service is undesirable to you, feel free to put me on ignore. the sarcastic comments about my 'bravery' are completely unnecessary.

I'd bet money that it won't be over $125 tomorrow.
i can confirm that this is a good target for this rebound. we'll probably peak lower. Id like to hear your analysis for whats about to happen with bit coin over the weekend Also are you a believer in the long term success or just making easy money? there's no such thing as easy money bitcoin has already gained an enormous amount of traction in just 4 years, but it is impossible to predict what will happen even in the coming year as far as success/failure because what was once a tiny niche community has ballooned into a large ecosystem with many, many independent variables. that being said, i do think bitcoin is fascinating. i believe adoption of it or another similar technology would help destroy the rigged structures of 'capitalism' that are in place today. as for a weekend forecast, i wouldn't expect too much action -- last two weekends in a row saw more than 50% less volume per day than the week on average. as i suggested above, we are short-term oversold so i expect a slight upwards correction to the downtrend. it remains to be seen how significant this reversal is, and if we could see a short-term bull any time soon.

Who the hell is buying at those prices... Sometimes I don't understand this market at all. I swear. Someone who will regret it in couple of hours try 6 hours. -===- *10-day 2-hour scale* -===- we've reached a short-term bottom. rebound is likely, CCI will reach to its recent high (at about -50), and then likely bounce. this corresponds with a price of about $100. if we break through this resistance, we could see as high as $125, although mitigating factors like low liquidity on weekends may affect these values. --arepo edit: So now almost everyone is a bear? Investor cycle says we are going up then. exactly, the utter despair on the forums today along with the oversold signals on many oscillators, and a high-volume doji at the $80 bottom all point to a significant rebound.

And yet another triangle. Duh ... make that one hour - not four hours as it says in the immutable image below. how did you come up with a downward direction here? i see the triangle, but triangle formations themselves tend not to have directional bias. by my analysis we've reached a short-term bottom.

The reason you don't see more "I told you so" posts is because it's becoming tiresome and mostly useless to argue with those who are out to demonize technical analysis (TA).
this. i'm taking a break from this place soon because of this reason. wish newbies would search old posts before rehashing redundant arguments.

Been playing around with the fit of the lines and come up with this, which is a bit modified from the chart I posted earlier. Hopefully it shows pretty clearly why I think the slope is how it is. Oh. Mah. Gawd. /thread fitty, i know this seems ridiculous to you, but this is worth man than you think. try to be more constructive and thanks for answering my question, that was exactly it, afb. these look pretty robust and there's no doubt that the volatility is hiding a midterm downtrend.

It does look familiar. However, I don't believe in a long slow slide, that one was boring. This time bitcoin should play something more exciting, a long period of uncertainty maybe where bulls and bears would be playing king of the hill on a monthly rotation? Just like stock market, only wilder. That would be fun.
A daytraders dream come true. Coming true now. we could be consolidating in huge swings between $50-$266 for the next couple months until the tremors of the great crash of 10 April die down. never thought i'd see the day... edit: disclaimer: wasn't around in '11, but i'm excited to be treading in such untested waters, and am jealous of the history you guys have witnessed
