Manchester City - Tottenham was really hell of a game today.  Smiley  I was curious about whether Manchester City would lose points in another big game. It really happened again. It was another high-scoring game at the same time just as the Chelsea - Manchester City one. This time it was 3-3 instead of 4-4. Tottenham never gave up during the game.

Guardiola just can't find a solution to their weaknesses in defense in big games. They have conceded so many goals in such games this season so far. They are behind Arsenal and Liverpool both in the standings now. Getting three points in big games can also be really crucial in the Premier League for the title.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 03, 2023, 08:40:12 PM
Barcelona got ahead by 1-0 against Atletico Madrid a couple of minutes ago. Joao Felix scored the goal and it is good for him. Because there has been a really long time since he scored a goal in the La Liga.  Smiley

But he is still performing decently in general. He has adapted to left wing really quickly. Playing for his dream team must have made things easier for him at the same time. It is still early to say that Barcelona would win this game though. Because Atletico Madrid are also a really solid team this season. Barcelona had better do their best to make it 2-0 otherwise the equalizer might not be too far.

Nothing can stop Leverkusen to win Bundesliga this year and I will keep this bold prediction for the rest of the season. Sure , Bayern looks strong , healthy and always ready to win but Leverkusen looks more like a team than Bayern in my opinion and this will be a huge advantage when they will face each other later.

Also , Stuttgart really wants to catch an European spot for next year and by the way they are playing right now , they can achieve at least a Conference League spot.

The way Leverkusen are playing is really impressive. Today against Dortmund their performance was again really good. There was a dominant game by Leverkusen but they weren't on their good day on one hand. Because despite trying really hard they still couldn't score more than one goal. Even that equalizer came quite late in the game.

I mean Dortmund could have even won here without showing a decent performance. Because I can't say that they were good at all today. But it is normal to see that because of Leverkusen's great system. Especially in away games your job is much more difficult against them.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 03, 2023, 08:24:24 AM
Manchester United played much worse than I thought. They couldn't do much against Newcastle. They found the target even only once. On the other hand Newcastle played very dominantly. They just couldn't find the target even in the half of their shots but this was still enough to win the game by 1-0.

Manchester United have already been unreliable with their performance though. They had a winning streak in the league but the defensive problems were hard to unsee. We saw it clearly against Newcastle in this game.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 03, 2023, 08:13:17 AM
Milan have finally started doing something for real. First they beat Fiorentina in San Siro in a tough game. After that we have seen them beating Frosinone by 3-1. These are both home wins but doesn't matter. What matters for them now is that they need to keep this up not to drop down from the title competition.

Because Juventus also won this week. Inter's game is going to be really challenging though. Maybe they might lose points once again but I don't feel like they would lose the game. Napoli have replaced their manager maybe but their job is going to be really difficult anyway.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 03, 2023, 08:08:02 AM
There was a quite balanced game between Lens and Lyon actually. I appreciated Lyon's trying to do something here. They were really good at finding the target quite many times as well. Their xG was near 3.00 while Lens' was near 2.00. But still Lens were the one with scoring 3 goals.

Lens got a red card as well but it came too late. If it was an earlier red card then things could have been much different in this game. Lyon really need everything in their favour as much as possible otherwise they just can't win.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 03, 2023, 08:02:21 AM
While Leverkusen are playing against Dortmund there will be a good challenge for Bayern Munich on one hand. Bayern Munich are playing away against Frankfurt. There have been quite competitive games played between these two sides. But these days Bayern Munich seem to be in much better condition.

Frankfurt have lost so many points recently and they couldn't win in their last two league games as well. I feel like Bayern Munich will manage to win even if it becomes by a gap of one goal. I expect Kane to score another and answer Guirassy's goal this week.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 02, 2023, 06:28:19 PM
In the absence of Vinicius Junior due to injury Ancelotti has changed the formation to 4-4-2. We are watching Bellingham on the left wing now and there is a Joselu - Rodrygo duo on the front line. Brahim Diaz is back in the lineup as well and he has already scored a goal too.

I don't expect Real Madrid to make a mistake in the Granada game now. They should be able to win the game comfortably. But 1-0 is a pretty risky score therefore they had better increase the goal gap quickly.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 02, 2023, 06:22:39 PM
Newcastle - Manchester United is also one of the attracting games at this weekend. The Red Devils couldn't beat Newcastle last season in both games. Newcastle won their home game by 2-0 then. Now we see that there is only a gap of one point between them in the standings.

Manchester United can seem like they are in a good form in the Premier League recently due to having a winning streak of three games. However they were all against teams in trouble. I can't be so positive about them in this tough game. In addition to that Newcastle beat Chelsea hard last week. If I pick a side to win I would definitely go with Newcastle here. Smiley
Manchester United still have problems in their defense, other than that they also have problems in the front line because they are not creative enough in building an attack that leads to goals.
Newcastle are in decline, not like last season where they could do something better than this season. It is quite difficult to predict this match, because both clubs are in the same inconsistency.
But an advantage for Newcastle because they will act as the host in this match, it is an opportunity to take advantage of the pressure that the supporters will put on Manchester United.

It is good that you have mentioned the defense problem for the Red Devils. There are still missing players such as Martinez. Varane is back actually but he is no longer able to play like in the old times. He was in the substitutes in the Galatasaray game for example and it was a really important game for Manchester United.

They are easily conceding many goals against capable teams. Onana is also continuing to make simple mistakes. In this situation it is really difficult for Manchester United to keep goals away from their goal post.

Manchester United and Newcastle both have been reported to be targeting to sign Guirassy from Stuttgart. The reported fee thought by these teams for him is 15 million pounds. This would be a ridiculous amount to be offered for him honestly. Because there is no way they can sign him for such a small amount.

Stuttgart wouldn't like to let Guirassy go that easy. His market value is 40 million euros. He would surely like to play for bigger teams but this is just a very optimistic offer for him. Both of these teams are rich in the end so they should be increasing their offer way more.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: December 02, 2023, 06:11:57 PM
West Ham are really ambitious in the Europa League this time. They qualified for the Europa Conference League finale before you know. I don't see any reason preventing them from doing it in the Europa League as well. They are already among the title contenders.

Maybe they aren't the biggest title contender but Europa League is always open for seeing new champions. Even Frankfurt became the champions for example. Maybe the biggest title contenders such as Liverpool, Leverkusen and Roma will fail unlike the expectations. West Ham can get one step forward in this case.

Inter's fixture is quite challenging recently. After facing Juventus in the league previously and having a really tiring game against Benfica in the Champions League their next opponent is Napoli. It is a league game I mean. Inter got 2 draws in the games I mentioned. This Napoli game is an away one as well so I'm curious about whether this streak will continue.

Inter can't win against Napoli in away games for a while at the same time. Considering all of these it is quite difficult for me to believe in Inter to win this game. Instead I think both teams to score is one of the best options for this game.

I wasn't expecting that much from Inter Milan in this game against Benfica. They should have channeled all of the energy to the game against Juventus and made sure they'd win the game but they ended the game all squared. Inter Milan already qualified, there shouldn't too much pressure when they face Real Sociedad for the last match in the group, they would do well to win to avoid tougher games during knockouts.

Against Napoli would be tough one, they have to win to extend their lead on the standing. Napoli with a new coach at home will want to show the fans working. Tough one, difficult to predict.

That game against Benfica was really awkward. But Inter still managed to make a huge comeback from being 3-0 behind. I assume there was some complacency by Inter side there. Because they already guaranteed last 16 so they didn't need to show their best performance.

But against Napoli I'm quite confident that we would see a much better effort from Inter players. Especially Lautaro Martinez is on fire so his goal contribution will be really crucial here as well. But I won't bet on a side here for sure. I didn't do so for the Juventus - Inter game too.  Grin

Rodrygo has really been on fire recently as you must have also noticed it. There is an incredible increase in his form these days which has directly reflected his contribution to games as well. He is scoring 2 goals per game lately and makes assists in the same game too.

This is just the kind of contribution Ancelotti would like to see from him I assume. Because Joselu isn't performing like at the beginning now. Vinicius Junior has got injured and Bellingham can't carry the team in all games in the end. They really need a good contribution from their strikers so Rodrygo is doing just fine now.

After another legendary game between Galatasaray and Manchester United the competition level in Group A has got even more heated. That one point was really important for Galatasaray before anything else. Thanks to this point Galatasaray only need to win against Copenhagen to guarantee their qualification for last 16 easier.

In case they get a draw in that game they will hope for Manchester United to lose against Bayern Munich home. If that happens as well Galatasaray must be still advancing to last 16 if I'm not wrong. However Galatasaray are playing away against Copenhagen so it will be a really tough game.

Maybe they don't want two solid goalkeepers in the squad at the same time I don't know. Because when you have this situation the one to whom you don't give much chance could get unhappy and would like to leave by himself.
Is not it good? I meant the competition between two good goalkeepers will be creating very competitive atmosphere. Ramsdale is not feeling happy anymore as arteta was rarely giving him chance to perform in the main squad.
It's the time for ramsdale to leave from arsenal soon.

Competition is normally a good thing of course. But it is more different when it comes to goalkeepers in my opinion. When you have two qualified goalkeepers in the squad at the same time you must give them equal chances to play. Otherwise the less playing one will start being more unhappy in time. Actually there isn't a situation like that for Ramsdale and Raya now.

Ramsdale played in 5 league games while Raya were playing in 8 games. I'm curious about whether Ramsdale wants to play in all games and Arteta doesn't think the same as him. If I were Arsenal's manager I would probably try to keep Ramsdale as my main goalkeeper.

After the game day 5 in the group stage Brighton and Marseille have secured their qualification for next round if I'm not mistaken. Because there is a tie between AEK and Brighton when it comes to head-to-head games right now. When we look at their goal differences as well there is a huge gap. There is no way AEK performing miracle at this point.

The last game day will determine the team finishing at the third position. Ajax have no other choice than beating AEK home. There is still hope for them considering they didn't lose to AEK in their previous game and considering how they resisted Marseille today.

I agree about what both Turkish teams did today. I might understand Besiktas' result because they are already having a horrible season. They really need to replace their chairman first to start getting better results everywhere. They aren't doing good in the Turkish Super League as well these days. There is an upcoming election in a short time.

However I was shocked to see Fenerbahce losing like 6-1 to their opponent. Normally there is a big quality gap between these two teams. But interestingly Fenerbahce were horrible in this game. They weren't even in a very comfortable position in the group.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 30, 2023, 09:58:07 AM
Sevilla are nearly officially out of the Champions League and Europa League both. Because their last game is an away one against Lens which won't be easy for them at all. They have to win that game to continue in the Europa League at least. I think Sevilla won't be able to achieve this either because they couldn't even beat Lens home before.

After the Champions League games are completed Sevilla can at least concentrate on their La Liga games not to relegate from the league. Because from this point they seem to be in big trouble. Like I said before they shouldn't have sacked Mendilibar that easy after winning the Europa League title with him.  Sad

Guirassy continues to be the most important player of Stuttgart this season. Despite having an injury period he is still pretty much the same. He scored a goal anyway even in the games he was able to play for less than 30 minutes. I didn't like his performance against Frankfurt in the last game though. But it isn't that important. In the end he is human.

Stuttgart still won that Frankfurt game by the way. This was good for them because they need to be able to stay strong in the games without Guirassy's big contribution. Next time they are hosting Werder Bremen and I see another win on the horizon.  Smiley
