For some reason I am no longer able to login to my account. I tried sending a message through the contact us link at the bottom of the page and it acts buggy like I am not entering the captcha correctly.

Never received a comfirmation email either but figured that might be normal.

think I read somewhere about installing opencl after the 12.2 driver causes problems. I messed with it yesterday and I don't recall seeing the option to uncheck the APP SDK that normally is present
213  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1233 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); Pool back in action! on: March 16, 2012, 10:49:51 PM
Hi folks,

I'm wondering why I'm seeing severely reduced performance from my 5-GPU miner when connecting to this pool?  I get a constant 1650MH/s reported by Diablo when I'm on DeepBit (although DeepBit reports slightly less) but anywhere from 700-1300 on Slush, with a current 10-round hashrate of only 1161 (that's confirmed by submitted shares as well as Diablo reported hashrate).  LOTS of fluctuation in hashing speed, peaking well below what I know the miner can do (and no, it's not stales, which are currently ~0.3%).  If it helps my username is the same over there as here; PM me if you need more info than that.

Thanks!

Wat would cause my hashrate being reported by the pool to be over a 1/3 less than the total Mhash/sec shown within my miner for the last
1 1/2hrs of a 3hr round?

But then when the new block started my hashrate was being reported to be the same as wat my miner was showing plus 2-4 Mh/s more.

218  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LinuxCoin A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go. on: March 03, 2012, 01:27:41 AM
OMG thats such a relief from that desktop.  Still having trouble with getting the miner started.

At first I was getting the "X server needs to be running" message and could not set clocks in aticonfig So I finally uninstalled and purged the xgldr drivers or some letters close to that, and then ran the AMD 12.1 w/ SDK 2.6.

So now I am able to get into aticonfig and play with those settings but whenever I attempt to run to run phoenix or poclbm I get this "Segmentation fault" line and then the attempt to start just quits.

Any tips from prior experiences would be greatly appreciated.
thanX

Anybody know if linuxcoin has a search function? Can't seem to locate it.

While I am thinking about it, How do I change this desktop? Shit get pretty bright after you have been up for 3-4 days.

thanX

Also has anyone experienced getting a "Segmentation fault" when starting either phoenix or poclbm?
220  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: AMD Stream SDK 2.6 (Catalyst 11.12/12.1) - Get your performance back! (Phoenix) on: March 02, 2012, 05:43:52 PM
Is there a good app that let's me see the SDK version installed? I installed 11.12 drivers on a new build (using hardware that I know hashes higher - ie my 6870s are only getting 270MH even with DiabloMiner) and then uninstalled everything and reinstalled 11.7 drivers but I don't think it cleaned out the 2.6 SDK properly.

GPU Caps Viewer does a good job of providing plenty of information on wat ATI Stream/APP SDK's are installed on your system and allows you to sellect each GPU/CPU individually and displays a read out of wat the openCL/GL software is doing.

Seen it also allow you to select between either ATI Stream or APP SDK within the app when I had both installed at one time. Have not yet see it offered for linux systems but I suspect something similiar will soon surface.

Here is a link to the latest version.
