For 5XXX cards using ATI Stream SDK 2.1 will get you better performance over the newer AMD APP SDK
It can be tricky getting an older sdk to install especially 2.5 and after. Something to do with the ATI Stream becoming APP SDK. Each SDK variant using different folders in which certain files are located makes uninstall and reinstalling a headache.
A few programs that help to get the older SDK installed Driver Sweeper and GPU Caps Viewer or also GPU-z. Just using the uninstaller or add/remove program leaves behind files and programs like GPU Caps viewer and GPU-z still come back showing the unwanted SDK's still being installed instead of the 2.1.
If mixing cards from 5XXX with 6XXX or 7XXX you either can have multiple SDK's installed or use the later AMD APP SDK. If using multiple SDK versions you then must specify which to use by using the "gpu-platform". The SDK's will use a number order just as having multiple GPU's does
Also for me using cgminer a single thread at 256 worksize gave better Mh/s as well as U value which specifies shares per minute.

Sounds like the cold storage was deposited with pirate.

GRRR, twice now no funds available for a very insignificant amount.
Would it be better to try and do this during business hours? Unsure wat time of day it was the first time. All I can seem to remember was the price being nearly $15/coin.
Thanks for the response D & T
Maybe TC forgot to update the "Funding Status" or does the "cash deposit at local branch" option fall under the status of
"Bank Funds high (max payout available)"

"my 200 MH/s "rig""
I LOL'd Sorry man, but as a small (slow) miner myself I found this funny.

When trying to create my sale order through the bank transfeer method it tells me the payout exceeds maximum.
Tells me Maximum Payout: $25.24

Hi Graet, perhaps I am being overly observant watching out for conspiracies again.

When did the change to no longer sticky the top 10 pools in the pools section occur? Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Mining > PoolsSeems like less than a week ago they were still stickied. Am I safe in assuming this is directly related to EMC's growing popularity and the soon to be added Variable Difficulty Shares(or similar shortened version) to EMC's subject title? EDIT: Decided to use the search feature and came across this thread. Top 10 Pools stickied? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=103313.0and this Mining Pools https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.0

At wat speed would you think or recommend miners be mining at for trying out the variable difficulty server. Is a higher possible variance the only negative drawback in higher difficulty shares, from a miners perspective? (A slow 1gh/s miner perspective)

That did it, working for me now thanks

Alright thanks man, I'll know after the next block

I am still not receiving SMS txt either, but they are still being subtracted from the credits. I switched over to PPS for a while so whenever you find time to get to it.

Happy to of found my first block a few days ago and contribute to the pool.
Could you check on my sms messaging also, looks like they are deducting from my credits but I have not received any messages when new blocks are found. Thanks

Autopayout should be working now. I had forgotten I disabled it earlier while I was working on the server trying to diagnose the connection issue. Should be good to go now, sorry about that . They will all process in about 8 minutes.
Yes, shares are still 1diff. I may bump that to 2diff, that shouldn't really affect anyone, but it will half the share returns, which is a huge gain, but in either case, I will make an announcement prior to doing that.
Note to miners on cgminer 2.7.0+, you will be able to see how much "work" you're still doing via the new "work utility" statistic if the pool changes the target difficulty. Your "utility" will drop because you will be returning less shares, but your work utility should remain the same. Very nice, also the efficiency value on 2.7.0 is really high.

Okay...so I finally got pushpoold to work the way it was suppose to be (or so I think). I'm going to reset the database (as far as shares..hashrate...etc go) but I will keep a backup of all shares per miner/user/worker so as I can split the verified earnings ( I don't want to seem like a bad guy here  ). This is data that will be used to pay out people who put in their shares. root@mein:~# ./ppcoind getinfo { "version" : "v0.1.0ppc-beta", "protocolversion" : 60001, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 0.00000000, "newmint" : 16726.30000000, "stake" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 1543, "connections" : 14, "proxy" : "", "ip" : "46.166.138.142", "difficulty" : 2929.41201025, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1345415511, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.01000000, "errors" : "" }
You can now re-connect to the pool using your workers username, workers password, 46.166.138.142, and port 9944 (supports LP). [Edit]: I'm moving the website off-site to off-set the load. NothinG I thinkin something has to be wrong to not have found a block yet. It found the block, as you can see under "newmint" : 16726.30000000. The problem, is that it is under "newmint"... I've already sent a PM asking how we are suppose to detect this. [Edit]: Site is going to be okwardly strange (still reporting errorous data, aside from the # of shares since the last reset [I still have those shares]). Once we get the above issue worked out, and get my second server setup with Memcached (for simplepool php)...then we can have a working pool/website. So keep on mining, you're shares will not go un-paid. In-fact, as soon as the balance becomes positive. I'm going to pause the website and pay off all shares and then hopefully by then the new website will be online along with the block-payout fix. Ok great I was mistaken then, I was simply going by the graph and not thinking that being the first ppcoin pool that there would obviously be quirks and issues needing to be worked out. Guess I am just use to everything being business as usual with pools. Sorry man hope things are smooth sailing for you as a pool operator charting new waters.

On a semi-related note, I had an epiphany while driving in the car as to why the DGM scoring may not be working with relation to increased difficulty. I will be exploring that today.
Are the shares current still difficulty-1 or has it changed? I believed your comment was just from wat was being discussed before and the problem that needed to be worked out at that time but thought I would ask just to be clear. Thanks for your time.

Inaba, nice touch showing the GH/s for the US1,2,3 servers. ty
Allows us to do a little user driven load balancing by knowing that.
I'm sending my dinky MH/s split/failover to US1 and US2 atm.
Any way those stats can show on the block stats page and also the my workers page?

Hmm.. on first glance yes, I bullet point two looks like a shot at me. I'd like to give Graet the benefit of the doubt though, he is a good guy.
I'll update the speed here after this post.
Proxy pools are not a concern to EMC, we can handle the load and I will deploy a dedicated server to a large proxy pool if they want, I have no problem with that if it ever becomes an issue. Maybe I should contact them in advance anyway, let me give that some thought.
But I do want to point out one of the reasons I can offer a zero fee pool is that I don't have to pay others for their time, so EMC can remain free. So yeah, there is 24/7 support with more than one person, but people will only work for free for so long I imagine. Not the case here at the moment.
As for the SMS messages - yeah they are broken at the moment. I am working with my SMS provider to get it working again, not sure why they haven't gotten back to me yet. I have a couple other solutions up my sleeve, some of them not quite as happy as I would like, but we'll see what happens. I should have something back up and running soon.
shot at no-one in particular, just stating a fact, most pools rely on one person. I'm sure Inaba has stuff in place so his pool could continue in the case of an unscheduled prolonged absence by the operator, I am equally sure not all pools do listing features of my pool in its thread should not be taken as an attack on any other pool or operator, thanks for taking the time to read though Graet Attack was never a thought. Recently been mining on ozcoin so I had been observing both and comparing. Seeing similarities as well as differences. Of course the hashrates being so close along with DGM/PPS automatically sets them in a group of their own. So this made it very easy for me to think of Inaba when reading your post. Hope no offence was taken as none was meant.
