To be honest, even if three individuals were online operating that pool all at the same time, miners still couldn't get the service/offerings/assistance/transparency that a single operator makes possible at EMC.

Not to mention he is also an employee of the industries most controversial technology leader. Who is attempting to breakout with products that offer unbelievable speeds at unimaginable prices.

Wat shall the subject topic be updated to with the increase in speed?

That other pool has updated its speed. Felt this was a shot at you

- Pool does not rely on an individual, in case of accident/illness/other mishap there will always be competent people with sufficient access to continue the running of the pool.

Are the proxy pools mentioned a concern and more or less the reason for needing the difficulty 10 shares?

Edited cause I felt like it...

Earning as BTC between now and the reward halving is my main goal. I consider myself a small miner and the variance already is killing me. My vote would be to keep from making any drastic changes that could effect miners earnings or variance of, untill after the reward halving.

The fluctuation in the pool speed thats been spoken of basically cut my earnings per block in half. Some being new miners some being backed up shares and then the time its taking to balance back out is costing me now that blocks are being found quickly after the bad luck lately.

Yeah, the bottom luck percentage is the overall luck.  Although I am not 100% confident that the math is right with that, since I've made some changes to the way blocks are handled since I wrote that and I think there may be some outlying cases that throw that off more than it should be.

Can you please do a luck calculation of the past 50 blocks?

The chart on the Block Stats page is the numbers for the last 49 blocks. The stat in the luck column at the bottom is the one Inaba spoke of being unsure of its accuracy.
https://eclipsemc.com/block_stats.php

As of the post it spans blocks 193763(1762) thru 194557(1811) and reports
Avg Luck: 44%
(50% is median)
Which rose 0.32% withe the last block found 17 minutes ago

Inaba I guess one of the variables would have to be the ever changing difficulty. So to count blocks from more than one difficulty period I assume the equation compensates for this? No need to reveal one of your many "Ancient Chinese Secrets"

Inaba, with these recent long rounds can you say how the luck is overall for the pool history? Is it considered up  or down or would these make it about average?

Thanks for your time.

Are you able to offer a payout option to my existing netspend reloadable prepaid visa

Does netspend allows you to load it from ACH (Direct Deposit)?  If you login to your prepaid card's online account you may see an option for funding by ACH (Direct Deposit).  If you do we just need the routing #, account #, and bank name (may not be NetSpend).

I do have an option for direct deposit. It doesn't state anywhere that it is ACH direct deposit. once I am on that page though it shows the following

R/T (Routing) # : (9 digit number) Account # : (14 digit number)

It does not name any bank though. Does this sound like the same thing? Acceptable?

EDIT: just found this in fine print on that same page.

NetSpend Visa® Prepaid Cards are issued by MetaBank™, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. NetSpend is an authorized Independent Sales Organization of MetaBank. Use of card subject to funds availability. Transaction fees, terms and conditions apply. See Cardholder Agreement for complete details.

So I guess the bank name would be MetaBank?

think a notation if any of these pay for stale shares should be included

also you are missing EclipsEMC which also has PPS

are stale shares paid for?

I seem to be getting alot of stales but they are reported and seems all are accounted for on the stats

When using the load balance feature between 2 pools, I always have more accepted shares on pool 0 than pool 1. If I switch the pools on my .conf file I get the same result. Pool 0 always has a considerably higher amount of accepted shares than pool 1.

I have noticed a similar behavior too, but with me pool 3 gets almost all of the shares and pools 0, 1 and 2 get starved.
Sam
This is simply that one pool has rolltime and the others do not. It's such an efficient option that it's really a waste of resources to not use it on the one pool since the others have not moved out of the dark ages. But I guess I could add more black magic to cope with that....

I have been able to get a better balance between 2 pools by using the rotate option. Get alot closer to having even shares on each pool. With the load balance at the times I had the biggest differences between pools, I would sometimes get as much as 2/3 at one pool and 1/3 at the other. Does that sound like a correct ratio that the rollntime could cause?

This all being to attempt to lower variance. At wat cost is my trying to split work evenly between 2 pools effecting efficiency versus just using the failover feature?
