Would be funny to make it alive again...

Which was the last version of the wallet and does anyone have the source?

Our pools last connection just died.
Any nodes to get it back alive would be highly appreciated.
Thats why you enable i2p and use the current build.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: March 20, 2018, 03:43:04 PM
Only getting one node connection.

Can someone share some more addnodes?

Thanks!
Thats why you enable i2p, silly one...

Hey ctya,

I still run http://devcoinpool.btc-music.com/ and upload receiver files there so these are being used.  As are the rest i'm pretty sure.

Fuzzybear

Hey Fuzzybear

The receiver_69.csv at http://devcoinpool.btc-music.com/
is different than the receiver_69.csv at devcoin.darkgamex.ch

Can you verify and replace that if it is different?

Thank you!

CTYA

He and others maybe still use the files from Unhtinkingbits repo and should switch to markm's files (as did i some time ago).

don't pay to get added, its a scam as they'll remove you later on and you'd have to pay again.
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: February 08, 2018, 04:13:59 PM
I got this error:

cc -ggdb -O3 -Wall   -c -o vanitygen.o vanitygen.c
vanitygen.c:26:25: fatal error: openssl/sha.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
<builtin>: recipe for target 'vanitygen.o' failed
make: *** [vanitygen.o] Error 1

How can I fix it?
install openssl headers.

What is Anoncoin?
Anoncoin launched on June 6, 2013 and is currently the only coin that supports the I2P Darknet. The Coin team is currently working on a “ZeroCoin” implementation to enable cryptographic anonymity in transactions.

Thats like the most outdated info possible
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: January 04, 2018, 08:29:04 PM
This coin needs better exchanges. Registering on an unknown exchange to trade 1 coin is dubious at best.

Cryptopia would be my choice.
You can always use exchanged.i2p

All coins which are getting de listed from novexchange can get listed in coinscontrol.com exchange by just paying listing fee of 0.10 BTC  ). Coin will be listed to exchange with in 5 working days. For more info Dev's can contact support@coinscontrol.com
exchanges that require "listing fees" almost always turn out to be scam in the long time...

I found the reason why the wallet was not synchronized.

I outlined the problem here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg25874905#msg25874905, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg26546800#msg26546800, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg26606174#msg26606174, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg26608073#msg26608073, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg26642100#msg26642100

I took the receiver_76.csv and receiver_77.csv files from http://devcoin.darkgamex.ch/ - the synchronization was stopped on block 303999
Similarly, with receiver_76.csv and receiver_77.csv from https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity - there is no synchronization

Today I installed a wallet for Windows and it has downloaded receiver_76.csv and receiver_77.csv. Their size and content differed from the one I downloaded earlier.
I found that receiver_76.csv and receiver_77.csv allowing to synchronize above block 303999 can be downloaded here
http://devcoinpool.btc-music.com/receiver/
http://d.evco.in/receiver/
http://show-me-the-devcoin.info/devtome/
Thus, the contents of these files in different sources differ

In the left panel on the screenshot, the sizes of the receiver_76.csv and receiver_77.csv files with which the synchronization does not stop.
Those on the right are from http://devcoin.darkgamex.ch/ and https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity and they do not allow synchronizing the blockchain above block 303999
Because of this, my DVC wallets could not work for quite a long time. Who should I thank for this?
You are correct, thats now fixed (on devcoin.darkgamex.ch).

@Unthinkingbit: please revert the changes of receiver_76/77 in those files (git), since that broke everything. Then you are also back in sync. Meanwhile i've switching away from your repo to markm's files.

I'm seeing "This is a HARDFORK build for block 585555" on the latest wallet.

Is that fine?

Wallet syncing and working fine otherwise.
yes this is fine. said block and the hardfork happend quite some time ago.

Yep, the new website just went live. We're still working on it however and would be awesome to have help with writing articles, blog posts, and other stuff. You can contribute to the website on Github: https://github.com/anoncoin/anoncoin-website

I also think the design can be improved, cool if a designer would like to help out with that  Smiley
we had a nice design, could have adopted it...

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: October 25, 2017, 02:22:26 PM
The wallet is working there, but the trades are disabled. The people at Novaexchange told me they are working on it, but they did not have an estimate for when they are finished.
exchanges love to put lower fees, then get stuck tx's. its been a issue for years. they are just too greedy.
wouldnt be surprised if they face the same issues.

..
What needs to be done to "maintain that list"? If its hosting said files and editing them from time to time, i'm up for it. If that's not what has to be done, please tell us more about it.

You and K1773R both agreed to do it. Thank you both for offering. Looking over the last account file with the ongoing list in it:
https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity/blob/master/account_73.csv

I see that K1773R already has an administrator position, and you don't. In general, I want the administrative functions to be spread out, so that if an administrator leaves only one or two duties are dropped at a time, rather than a few at a time. So I prefer that you do it. However, it's up to you and K1773R, if you both decide that K1773R should do it that's fine with me. Please contact K1773R and decide between you who should take the position.

K1773R says that he agrees to let me take care of this duty.
confirmed

How can i change the random number generation in the code , i want to move step by step +1 from a certain base point not +random number , is it something easy to do?!
May I ask why you'd want this? You're basically taking out the randomness, making it less secure.
I do the opposite: add an extra random-file, just in case the standard random isn't random enough.
Code:
-s <file>     Seed random number generator from <file>
I need this to make a secure check on an address i already own not to generate a new one , i am trying to connect all my addresses with one private key so that i can remember one key and open all my addresses in a certain sequance i have made Smiley, if you don't understand what i am saying then just forward me to something like i said , and you will do me a favour thanks.

I've had no deposits made to my DVC wallet in the past 8 days. Since I'm a file admin I'm used to getting some. I'm not complaining. I just think I need an update. Has there been an updated version of the wallet? Have the DVC payout rules been changed? I'm not on the Github so if someone could post a summary here I'd greatly appreciate it.

I can continue to be a file admin. It takes a total of three minutes of my time once a month.

I mainly want to make sure I'm running the most current wallet, especially if the coin has forked or anything like that.

I'm currently running this version of the wallet: v0.8.5.1-g25a7d46-beta

It seemed to sync and update just fine. It's just that I didn't get any payments, so that tells me there probably have been changes that I need to be made aware of.

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing this out, what happened is that Hunterbunter's site:
http://dvccountdown.blisteringdevelopers.com

is down, which had the administrator lists. I just checked and found that this happened in round 74, so no administrator will get devcoins from ongoing for rounds 74 and 75. Would someone else like to maintain that list?
