If you're going to write essays on forum, write for me instead. You will get compensated.
2002  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [BUYING] MyBitcoin.com on: May 07, 2011, 06:16:52 PM
I most likely will if my deal isn't accepted and no response is made about plans for improvements. It'd be awesome to start with an established name while improving everyone's current service though.

The likelyhood that the mybitcoin guys will respond here are slim. Email them.
2003  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [BUYING] MyBitcoin.com on: May 07, 2011, 06:06:03 PM
I really like the idea behind the service, enabling merchants to accept Bitcoin payments easily. However, it turns out that it's not all that easy. The documentation is nonexistent and support responses are slow. I understand why. It's free and you usually get what you pay for. With that in mind, I'd like to buy the website and code from the owner. My intention is to keep all the features as they are and also improve upon them, hire a dedicated support team, etc. To pay for this I would eventually start charging a tiny transaction fee for merchants while keeping the rest of the ewallet stuff free. I'd love to negotiate a deal. Please get in touch with me at sales@bitcoin2cash.com if you're interested. Thanks!

Why not start a competing alternative?
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] Namecoin official tld : .bit, .web, .p2p on: May 07, 2011, 05:31:13 PM
OK, I'm not an expert, but do we really need something like TLD? Just allow any names you want and let the market decide. It may be that in the beginning DNS servers will simply not respect Namecon names with .com.

It would be annoying that the DNS servers do not respect existing names.

I am interested in commissioning a public domain tutorial screencast instead.

Correlation != causation.

2008  Economy / Economics / Re: Business Model on: May 05, 2011, 09:04:57 PM

I prefer see a Satoshi become rich than few person that have control over our life like bankers that they can decide if your son can go at school or if you can have home or if you can eat or if you can go to the hospital, i think bitcoin will be a compromise between capitalism and communism.

I don't see any communism existing. I see tons of inequality in the wealth of bitcoiners and the power they possess. They just can't rule over each other. Not even the mob of people have the power or authority over a bitcoiner.
2009  Economy / Economics / Re: Business Model on: May 05, 2011, 08:52:29 PM
Bitcoin support capitalism!

I mean, Satoshi is probably going to be the richest man in the world!
2010  Other / Off-topic / Re: Osama Bin Laden dead on: May 05, 2011, 03:32:40 PM
I tend to believe he's dead. Haven't seen any remotely credible claims he's not. No tapes, no statements, nothing.

The interesting thing, to me, here is that this seems to have been a kill order, not a capture order. What would have happened, had Osama Bin Laden been captured and put on trial?

I think a number of things:
First, protracted public unrest, probably assassination attempts, endless media circus etc.
More importantly, though, it would have forced the US government to go over the whole rationale for the war on terrorism again - it would have been difficult to prosecute Osama without ending up talking about why the US went to war in Afghanistan, then somehow ended up in Iraq. Osama's perspective on that might have been quite interesting. And who knows what kind of info Osama had on US politicians... No, they had to kill him.

I think Osama bin Laden tries to resist. It didn't go well.
2011  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crytocurrency hyperinflationary? on: May 05, 2011, 03:26:21 PM
Not a problem.

All the other currencies have to compete and distinguish themselves from the competition. Bitcoin have a massive first mover advantage that will be very hard to dislodge.

How profitable for you?

I can't wait to buy a gavinator t-shirt someday. However, I know you must be profitable in order to expand your t-shirt line.
2013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thread on OCN, 27 pages in 12 hours on: May 05, 2011, 06:35:44 AM
every thread about bitcoin gets closed by management.. what a bunch of tools.

An unimportant forum think bitcoin is a scam? Who fricking care?
2014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: questioning BTCs on: May 05, 2011, 06:21:47 AM
No way.  I seriously doubt bitcoins will be trading around $100 by the end of the year, let alone within weeks or months.  Maybe $100 in a few years, maybe.

People are bad at estimating the rate of change. Personally, I think a 25% probability confidence of bitcoin taking off to stratospheric level in a J curve. Heck the bitcoin price charts look like a J curve.
2015  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ubitex: In-person Bitcoin exchange [SERVER UP] on: May 05, 2011, 03:59:29 AM

Don't think reputation based on if forum goers agree with you is useful.

Rather have reputation related to doing business.

I seconded this proposal!

So then the cost will get too cheap and the network will still be unsustainable...

It's called transaction fee.
