Call Jered what you will but I call him a liar and a thief. I got out today by doing multiple bitcoin withdrawals of less than 80 coins each and took some of them to Crypto X Change in Australia.
I am baffled that people will stand up for Jered. And actually, it has recently come to my attention that one of his ardent supporters actually owned a piece of the company. So be very skeptical of people who come on these threads and say that Jered is anything other than the lying scum that he is.
If only I could do the same, but my money is all stuck in the wiretransfer so I cant even buy BTC.

Doesnt anyone think thats this is quite a funny situation (even though its still quite serious)?
Think about it:
Jered says he will reply to emails - the opposite happens Jered says Paxum transfers are delayed but wires will go out - the opposite happens Jered says he will meet anyone in San Francisco (told one of my friends there to go have lunch with him to see if he still is in the country and ask some questions) - the opposite happens
So but now that Paxum transfers are going trough and wires not, isnt that a bit strange? Doesnt Tradehill fund their Paxum account with a wire? Questions questions...

genjix, Jered can really learn something from you! Im not a customer at your exchange but im planning to be one soon!

Still nothing happening with my wiretransfer so far, but it looks a bit better!
We just got the account up and checks / wires are moving out today. If your wire doesn't get submitted by the cutoff point today it will go out tomorrow.
Jered
Here is the 20th, three days later and not one person has got their payment processed yet? At least no one that spoke up in this thread. It must still be the 17th in his timezone, because he wouldn't lie to us right?
We use Bitinstant because the risk with Dwolla is far too high and they've already stolen from us.
What about TradeHill stealing from all their customers?
duckfeet: exactly!
Jered: Why do you only give money back to cancerpatients and not to us? Why are you not telling us what is going on? You know what were all thinking: "Is Jered running with our cash?". I dont mind delays but I hate being kept in the dark.

Still nothing... Whats that about, are wiretransfers going trough like TH claims they are or not?
It looks like my wiretransfer didnt make it pas the cutoff point even though its already there for weeks. Lets see if I will make it today... Did anyone actually make it to the cutoff point? Why is there actually a cutoffpoint Jered, shouldnt you or your employees work overtime to make this all right or is that also out of your hands and the banks fault/limitation?

I don't do wire transfers, but I've had no issues with TH and Paxum transfers.
When was this transfer requested and completed?
Hey fellow bitcoiners!
Im making this thread to have some kind of record to see who got their payment processed after the whole shitstorm TH has brought upon us.
I have about 3000$ stuck saying "in Process" for a wiretransfer for over 2 weeks now. What about everyone else?

My wiretransfer is still stuck saying 'Processing'. Starting today (Jan 17th), you'll begin receiving checks and wires. I guess that announcement was just rubbish then, or not Jered?

Admittedly I sounded like a dick when making that post towards Jered but nothing I have stated there is untrue. Jered does seem to have the time to inform people here on the forums individually but yet cant find the time to release a statement on the TH blog. Yes, everyone is human and far from perfect but its now almost at the point where its getting ridiculous and there is nothing wrong with making my feelings about that public. Yes, I am pissed off, for a good reason.
The trouble this has caused me so far is that I am late on a few bills which had to be payed and that I had to borrow money from some friends to be able to do grocery shopping. Yes, its not as bad as having to pay medical bills for cancertreatment but it still makes a big impact on my life. I have around 3000$ stuck saying in Processing since the 2nd of Januari. I have contacted you by PM a few days ago to ask if you could help me out but havent received a response yet.

From someone who has the sentence "It's Your Money! Why Wait?" in his signature I would have expected some more empathy in the current situation.

...
I'll make sure to post on the blog more frequently in the future and as quickly as possible when something comes up.
Jered
How about updating the blog now Jered? I mean, you are able to post here so why not on the TH blog? You obviously have the motor skills to operate a keyboard so what letting you? Maybe that will slow down the stream of emails you are getting.
Lets get back on topic:
Jered (and the rest of the TH staff), WHAT IS GOING ON? Please put out a public statement on tradehillblog.com with the estimated time needed to recommence operation so at least I can stop pressing the F5 button.

Recently with some banks in the US Banking System cutting off access to the assets of several exchanges, many of us who use Bitcoin for day to day and sometimes emergency expenses were suddenly put on hold. A few days before these holds were put into effect, I had been speaking with some of the other people who work in bitcoin eCommerce as to me having to sell my sharess of ShatoshiDeamon.HORSE on GLBSE and use the funds for an emergency expense. During that quick time and going to withdraw to my paxum account, stuff has gone down in the banks and not quite at the exhange level yet. So my cash was caught up in limbo for a while now with no real timeframe on when it would be useable. Step in Charlie (Yankee) of BitInstant. We had been speaking about BitInstant having paxum out in the future, and charlie was able to get the guys at the exhange to refund my haulted withdraw, and personally took over the paxum transfer for me. All this while in the middle of an international flight too. This was compleatly amazing and I am still in shock as to the effort of everyone involed...
Charlie (BitInstant) Jared (TradeHill for personally addressing the refund) Deslok ( BitcoinPrintShop - For contacting everyone and doing all of this without my knowledge. You cheeky bastard!)
If thats not service and community commitment, I dont know what is. Thank you all once again.
As much as I like to hear that you got your cash, I cant help feeling a bit strange for you speaking so high of Jared at the moment. Jared didnt send any email to any TH user about their account but in the meantime does take the time to help one single user. He didnt even update the TH blog and keeps alot of people in the dark about quite large sums of cash. At the moment I am broke as can be, I borrow money left and right to be able to pay electricity costs, rent and keep myself alive.

What about this problem then; Im new but want to do a bitcoin lottery or so (just for illustrative purposes). I send 50btc to a trusted member so that people know they will get their btc back if I fuck something up. The lottery ends and 1 guy wins. This guy however is malicious (but the community doesnt know this and he has very little trust, just a fraction more then I would have) and says that he never got payed and since I have less trust then him the 50btc which got sent to the trusted member will now go to the malicious person and not back to me. Of course this can be mitigated by letting the winner post a btc address and have proof that funds were sent there, but now think about this: What if the winner of the lottery and the one making the lottery were the same person? Unprovable and because of that I have just pulled of the perfect scam (I didnt scam anyone, just for illustrative purposes, again). Anyways, I hope with writing this message I have contributed a bit to the paranoia so scammers will have a more difficult time stealing our coins

The Bitcoin Faucet is not dry: http://freebitcoins.appspot.com/Currently it has 21BTC available and is giving them away 0.005BTC at a time. And if anyone feels like donating coins, instead of sending directly to the begging masses here, why not contribute to the Faucet directly (donation link is on the Faucet webpage)? I'm sure Gavin would appreciate the support. +1. The faucet exists for a reason. Ah, but im not interested in a measly 0.005btc, I want a minimum of 5 coins at a time. No point in begging for pennies, ill leave that to others. Im a new type of beggar, the one who sticks his nose in the air for anything with less value then the buying power a banknote of 20$ currently has.
