I was wrong on this one so I'll tuck my tail and run. Sorry to clutter your thread.  Lips sealed
182  Economy / Auctions / Re: Set of Casascius Coins on: June 17, 2013, 02:45:12 AM
Lmao, I'm not saying you should be charging face for these coins. We're both not that stupid. I just don't think that in the current market, asking for more than twice the face is really going to get these coins to sell. I know from seeing other threads that the coins with the errors are worth at least twice face. But the other coins are just not that rare (yet). Maybe you can get someone to buy with the future price in mind (which I suppose is a true collectible), but don't be surprised when you hear the crickets chirp for a while.

Ps. You make it seem like you are doing people a favor by buying Casascious coins, packaging them, "inspecting them" (whatever that means), and then sending them to us. You either did two things: You bought the coins because you wanted to collect them and now you're capitalizing on the rising market, OR you bought them with the intent to make a profit by reselling. In either case, you have already made a NICE profit.

In summation, lowering the starting bid might get you some more action. No harm meant.

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, anyone?

You want OVER face value in premium and you're surprised people aren't bidding? Roll Eyes
184  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 0.5 BTC Physical Bitcoin (2013) on: June 15, 2013, 11:43:37 PM
i've been on the fence about buying casascius coins for months, excited to finally get my hands on some Smiley

regarding handling/packaging, i've seen some other resellers use cotton gloves. i haven't yet decided if i'll be getting cases for these, but it would be nice to receive them unblemished in case i decide to do so. i'd hate to think what fingerprint removal would do to the holograms!
Grin already have a stack of white gloves I use to handle coins  Grin and plastic cases

So the coins will come in protective cases after being handled properly?

IF the answer to that question ^^^ is "yes," and only "yes," then I bid 1 @ .9BTC.

Thanks, but no thanks. She says the 3D doesn't play well with her. I know you don't have to keep it on, but it's a waste of money if you're not going to use it. Good luck selling your items!
186  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Nintendo DS/3DS Games on: June 15, 2013, 11:23:42 PM
Any systems? My sister is looking for a DS lite.
187  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1oz Bronze Bitcoins for Sale (75% copper) on: June 14, 2013, 04:54:08 AM
Those do look very nice. It's a shame they are novelty only and don't hold a value.  Undecided
188  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Order Hardware from Amazon - 10% Discount on: June 13, 2013, 10:28:05 PM
How much do you have available? I'll be looking at picking up a new motherboard once they are available.
189  Economy / Goods / Re: [[NEW]] - Physical Bitcoins - Only 0.2BTC - WorldWide Shipping! on: June 13, 2013, 07:45:34 PM
I might be interested in some pre-loaded coins. Are there any denominations labeled on the coins, or are the set for any value?

Also interested in the SSD.
191  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Liquid nitrogen/oxygen/argon Cryogenic liquid generator KIT *PRICE REDUCED on: June 10, 2013, 03:01:29 PM
After watching that video, I'm very interested! I spend $30-60 a month on ln2 as is, this could be a sweet way to save money.

I have you confirmed the liquid is nitrogen? It obviously acts like nitrogen, but have you used a probe to check that it is indeed -196C?

Do you have any units that are a bit more self contained? What is the power draw of the unit while running? And finally what was the volume of the container in the video? I'm curious to know how much that made in one day.
192  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 10, 2013, 02:54:32 PM
Bump! I actually need a second one now! Deal with TTbit went smoothly and I'm looking for a second system.

Orange could be good because it gives you the option to throw bitcoin stickers ALL over the car and just rub it in people's faces that you bought the car with btc.  Grin

it is just sad that pirating software continues forever like it is normal to rob people of their creative efforts.

why not just steal the hardware too?

The main reason people are against piracy is because it keeps money from getting to the developers who made the games, movies, etc. But if the game, movie, etc. isn't sold in a retail outlet anymore, none of the proceeds even go to the developers anymore. That's not what I'm using the DS for, and that doesn't make piracy okay, but just some food for thought. I'm using the game card so I don't have to carry all my games around with me in a pouch.
195  Economy / Digital goods / Re: **FREE** Microsoft Office 2007 Retail Licenses **FREE** on: June 06, 2013, 04:38:51 AM
I'm not in need of one, but thank you for making this available to people who do need them! Kudos to you.
196  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 05, 2013, 10:29:59 PM
I made a deal with TTbit today for .7 BTC shipped to me. Deal includes a DS Lite, stylus, charger and Acekard for games. Transaction is here: http://blockchain.info/tx/a1e2a7601bbd45be3646d565fc913c599d569e624a51be572d268e9cdbcd7542
197  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 05, 2013, 02:38:59 PM
Bump! I'm getting some action but it seems to have dried up. I'm now also interested in one of the SD card adapters which allow you to play backups.

I'll pay $50 shipped for an original DS with a loader and the original accessories, or $80 shipped for a Lite with the same options.
198  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 04, 2013, 05:57:01 PM
Bump
199  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 04, 2013, 02:40:25 AM
@Afroman

I'm not really looking for anything other than Pokemon games, the DS (lite) system, charger, stylus and anything else which comes with the original system. I'd offer $55 shipped for the items you listed, that I'm interested in (Diamond, DS and original items). Everything should fit into one of the $5 USPS flatrate boxes (I don't need packaging).

@Digit

Again, I'm not really interested in a bunch of accessories because I'm a straight forward kind of guy. I'd take the original DS and all original accessories for $20 shipped. If you have any Pokemon games, I'll buy those as well.

Note to everyone: If you're not satisfied with my offer, don't be a dick and just leave the thread. The way bartering works is that two parties have items the other would like. Then you negotiate on a price. I'm not saying my price will go up a lot, but I'm giving real world prices for these items. If we still can't agree on a price, by all means go trade it in a Game stop, or deal with the highway robbery of Ebay fees.
200  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nintendo DS (Lite) on: June 04, 2013, 01:49:28 AM
Oh, also forgot to add. I'm also looking for a copy of Super Smash Bros Melee (for GameCube).  Grin
