81  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Primedice.com SCAM BETS with proofs multiplier x2 on: December 25, 2023, 04:18:33 PM
I recommend you stop playing at Primedice.com and I'm going to do a test at Stake.com as well, they are from the same mother

Stake does "scam" in many ways with their promos, having shill accounts participating in these promos like last year's Christmas having someone named like aabbcc123 winning millions and signing up to Stake 3-4 days before the event and beating all the other users in the race.

Drake is playing with millions in Stake, so they can "load" his account with millions, no sane person in the world would sit on the beach being relaxed about throwing 6-7 digits per spin in slots which is the worse game to play when it comes to a house edge.

But regarding their provably fair games or regarding deposits/withdrawals - Stake is among the best ones out there, they are being fair and honest, processing deposits/withdrawals virtually instantly, and they don't prevent users from winning in their games or sports (although yes, they would limit your sports bets if you win too much, i.e. they are not Pinnacle, Fairlay or betting agents with no limits whatsoever).

Still, I'd trust them 1000% more for the Superbowl bets than trust other shady sites. Again, they are OK from many perspectives but they also run their own scams, just not in the way you describe unfortunately, based on what the other users are telling you here.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why Bitcoin is the #1 crypto currency in the world if it's slow and expensive? on: December 22, 2023, 11:03:31 PM
Yes, it's the first coin ever created, but it's slow and expensive (unless you're using the lightning network which most people and businesses don't).

How come Ripple which is the cheapest and one of the fastest ones - failed investors since 2018 and never reached back to the all time high of $3ish and those who believed in Ripple got 0 yields and a slap in the face, and yet this slow & expensive currency is the holy grail everyone is talking about?
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna Classic and Do Kwon Extradition - Check the FTX Token on: December 22, 2023, 10:56:14 PM
This could be another drama for this abandoned coins

People said the same thing about Doge, that it's abandoned and it went up in value 10,000x times...

Is the site down right now?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Luna Classic and Do Kwon Extradition - Check the FTX Token on: December 22, 2023, 03:45:17 PM
Do Kwon appealed the decision to extradite himself to the US, but it's only a delay because the appeal was based on not following the procedure in court and it's just a matter of time before he would get to the US, one way or another.

Look at Sam Bankman Fried, ever since he was trialed in the US, Bitcoin went up, the FTX token went up in value.

Luna Classic should be no different.

Once Do Kwon is in the US he would have to give up lots of holdings and control over the USTC and LUNC tokens, this includes burning (very likely) and other factors that could push up the price.

The requirement for this to happen? Lots of patience.

Stake your LUNC for 1X% yield (via Trust Wallet, Atomic Wallet and more) whilst the currency is gonna go rollercoaster until that happens.

What do you think about all of the above? Agree? Disagree?  Huh

87  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 19, 2023, 12:25:17 PM
Why make things difficult for yourself with this temporary solution? If you learn self-control and the ability to say no when you need to say no, that's going to be more beneficial to you in the long run

That is a very ignorant thing to say.

You are like a few others here repeating the same mistake that is being mentioned here, you think for some people learning how to self control is some sort of a yoga class?

Self exclusion has helped millions of people around the world.
It's a useful tool, no doubt about it.

If gambling was about self control people wouldn't have lost millions, their houses, their families and more.
88  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 18, 2023, 09:54:33 PM
Well, that can be a good option, but the thing is, how can you be so sure that the asset you stake will grow or be returned to you for the same amount you stake?

You can't, if you want you can do it in USDT but that's also a risk.
You can also use a fixed deposit in your bank (aka CD in America), the money will be locked but then you gamble on FIAT to appreciate.

So far in the FIAT vs SUZUKI test seems like SUZUKI wins (*SUZUKI = a nickname for Saotshi Nakmokto lol)

89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Drake Event: a total ripoff on: December 18, 2023, 09:45:02 PM
What are they going to do with all the millions of emails + phone numbers they received from people?!

Just in affiliation they can turn that into millions as well... there were no privacy terms when the users emailed their data, right?
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Drake Event: a total ripoff on: December 18, 2023, 04:12:00 PM
For sure it looks insignificant in comparison to the amount of required bet but it's not like players will knowingly risk the $15K because they will be getting $5. I think you're making a big deal out of this. It's as simple as don't participate if you don't like it and just do your usual bets. There's no need to be riled up over a promotion.

On the one hand you're right, but on the other hand you're creating a very big hype here, $1,000,000, 1 million dollars, it sounds tempting, and in the end of the day you give out perhaps 5% of it to your users.

We promoted the event as part of our partnership with Stake but seeing the end result this creates a bad image for us, as affiliates, telling our users about a massive $1m promo, which eventually shed a bad light on us.

So it's not just a matter of being an individual here electing not to participate, there's more to it unfortunately.
91  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: December 18, 2023, 12:39:24 PM
20k wager requirement for 5$ drop at the Drake stream, stake has gone insane.

To wager 20k mathematically you lose at least 200$ to house edge, AT LEAST. And in return you get a "blessing" of 5$ from your good friend Drake.  Grin

What's even funnier, stake.us gets the same amount of claims, even though they have far less players and FAR less wager each week, with far less I mean 8x less wager ( can been see through the amount of raffle tickets on Saturdays ).

.com deserves more, .us gets it, that's how things are. I seriously regret putting in some wager for the xmas/drake promo the last weeks. Until now it's an utter disappointment and I will learn from that mistake. At least I didn't lose anything to that site anymore, just a slight profit + the very rare bonus drops this year.

Well said.
It was a ripoff

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478356.0

Made a YT about it showing exactly what happened in the event with recordings and feedback from users.

Any comments?
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Stake vs Drake Event: a total ripoff on: December 18, 2023, 06:51:19 AM
The event Stake had several hours ago was truly a ripoff.  Angry

How can you promise $1,000,000 giveaway where you don't really give it all away?!

And giving away $5.00 only to those who wagered $20,000 in the past 7 days? $5?

Most users don't wager $20,000 ... let alone $10,000 in the past 7 days .... and even if hypothetically someone would have done it, risking $20k to win $5 is more than absurd. This is a borderline scam.

Feel free to watch a video reaction to the event here:

It's not about that, you're not responding to emails.

2 weeks went by, no response via email, none whatsoever.

96  Economy / Gambling discussion / How to profit from sports betting - with examples on: December 11, 2023, 09:11:18 PM
Do you believe the NBA, the NFL and others should be treated like financial markets?

For example, a line of 33, 0-0 at halftime, o/u 16.5 - goes 36 pts in the 2nd half for the full game.
A line of 40.5, 0-0 at halftime, o/u 17.5 - goes under for the full game 3-0.

Both examples are from yesterday.

Reasonably speaking, the 33 game should have gone under, and the 40 game should have gone over, but the oddsmakers twist the lines and thus if you can read that - you can profit from it.

Indeed , staking is for investors that wanted to earn but not to be stay away from gambling because it contradict

Who says? you?
So someone else can say otherwise - what makes your claim stronger?
98  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 10, 2023, 03:40:01 PM
The most simple way is to convert your coins to Bitcoin since the fee right now is unstable and mostly high. Many Bitcoin holders just hold because of the high transaction fee. This will save time on waiting for unstaking.

If someone wants to risk $1,000 on a sports bet, casino, you name it, then a $10 fee won't stop him/her from gambling with it.

But if the funds are locked then you cannot lose them, they are just being locked temporarily whilst you're getting your thoughts, your mind and trying to regain some clarity before making a decision if what you wanted to do with the money was really worth it.
99  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 10, 2023, 01:21:13 AM
OP clearly created the topic to promote his YouTube channel, and not to provide real advice to gaming addicts.

So if you find a way to help other people and it involves a video you're not allowed to post it? How about this guy Jacob from Vegas?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUR5LBO3ttM

153k views, he truly helps people in this video by explaining how they can get upgrades for free! Is that a bad thing? So he promotes his channel along the way. So what - people get value on the same time.

Now regarding your claim not providing a "real advice" to gaming addicts, how about you read outside of Bitcointalk from real addicts?

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/crypto-casinos-and-self-exclusion.98853/

Quotes from CasinoMeister:

"This is the one main drawback for Cryptos - many dont run KYC and so even if a person runs SE - (some do offer this ) its a token gesture as a person can re-sign up instantly with different email / IP. The only real way for a problem gambler to combat this would be by cutting off the source - e.g getting your bank to block crypto"

"I still think that crypto casinos have a social and moral obligation to offer help or support where needed, as we all do, but only one or two I know of seem to offer some kind of responsible gambling advice or program."

"As much as I love the idea of crypto and decentralisation, the space attracts criminals, scammers and the sort of people who don't care about how they affect other people."

"Yes, this is a huge minus, totally agree."

This is just one thread among many, you're welcome to look at Reddit, PsychicForums and basically do your own reasearch before you accuse people for not providing a real advice. Maybe you're the one who's contributing nothing to this thread, so save your opinion to yourself.

The most important drawback is that when you stake all your coins or lock your balance in order to prevent yourself from sanding it on gambling, you will prevent yourself from spending it on any other thing too.

The solution is not a bullet proof solution that works for every single gambler out there, however, it could accommodate many who are in a need to lock themselves out of the ability to gamble.

Someone who got inheritance for $80,000 and wants to save it in Crypto, but wants to avoid gambling it away would find it quite useful.

The use of crypto doesn't have to be for gambling, and most people do have money in their bank accounts, but some are restricted in their own countries to gamble, thus they must use crypto to gamble, or don't gamble at all ...

For these people locking away crypto, for instance, is a great solution, as they can't easily gamble.

They can use their bank account to buy more crypto but it is costly and many times not instant, depends on how they buy it etc. - especially if they want to save fees.

So all in all, you have a solution here, again it's not a bullet proof solution but it could help many who need it, it's about being creative with our ever changing world.
