61  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DrJoeGrine - scammed 0.5BTC on: September 29, 2013, 11:02:08 AM
That doesn't makes much sense. The guy comes through with 13BTC and scams you for .5. Funny world, hope this is just a misunderstanding.

You should be able to move your own topic. Top right has the option bar.

Instead of trolling, can we try to figure out what exactly happened? Is there a vulnerability in blockchain.info? This has been happening a lot lately.

This is my gut reaction. It seems this is starting to appear more often with blockchain. Has anyone tried getting a response from support about this?

OP do you feel you did something wrong and may have infected your computer or could this possible be an exploit in the blockchain client? I know you mentioned a shady site you visited, have any more information on that?

sorry to here about this sublime when it rains it pours sometimes

Smiley Thanks bro, but things are looking up.

It usually does. When I am down I just remind myself things come together, they always do. Stressing about crap will just kill you sooner.

Making this public.

I am about to trade my $21 moneypak for his 0.1577BTC. My address is 17kWrnLrAuhoc9CJeeZY66uVfmy3JJgqd2 for this trade. Once I see 1 confirmation I will send code. I have asked if he would like to use an escrow but we are both okay bypassing for such a low denomination.

I will confirm once trade has been completed.

73  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you Bitcoin people like North Korea? on: September 28, 2013, 07:09:56 PM
How many BTC are in the NK treasury?

They have all, the new ones being mined are just NK being generous.  Cheesy

Sounds right.
74  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movies they should never remake or reboot on: September 28, 2013, 07:02:27 PM
The messed up big time by remaking Nightmare on Elmstreet.

Lets be real, once they made Jason vs Freddy, the gig was already up. You don't mix the two imo.

Like you should lock your car when leave it to go for shopping you should also secure your wallet. You're used to having to lock your car and not complain that you have to "accommodate the system" or are you leaving the windows open and expecting the car to think for you?

Start a new wallet on a different and secure computer and have 2FA enabled (Google authenticator if you have a smartphone, a Yubikey or via SMS codes). You haven't mentioned it anywhere so I am assuming you weren't using it. Big mistake, especially when you are using an insecure, malware-riddled machine for your financial-related stuff.

Ya like I said it is my fault

Fucking tech guy

I have been buying and selling bitcoin for a year now I still have no idea what a Yubikey is and it took me about 8 months before I knew what was meant by 2FA I love how you guys run around saying that shit it means nothing!

I am a master auto tech. It is like me saying oh your car is messed up and it is your fault you were running an inefficient stoichiometric ratio and now your values are burnt and your catalyst system is destroyed. You should of checked that BIG MISTAKE!

Do you see my point with the tech community it is always you need to alter your behavior not that we have made something that is unacceptable, you are the unacceptable one.

I'm going to agree here. Like I said earlier, it's not your fault people steal. You did offer the community a good service and unfortunately the inevitable happened and you were hit for enough to set you off the edge. If nothing else just learn from what happened and try to avoid these situations in the future. Not like anything I am saying you don't know already...

Seems a little degrading, no?

You're so poor how do you pay your internet bill?

A job is so much more than just a paycheck, it gets you out of the house and forces you to interact with other people. Something humans NEED in life no matter how much some people say they don't. Its healthier than sitting on the computer all day thats fo sho.

I generate the keys and 'assemble' them, the coins themselves are from Casascius and the holograms I found online..

Do you store the private keys or ever have access to them? how is the loading process done?

I only have access to the encrypted private key, which I don't store, since I don't know the buyers passphrase I'm not able to decrypt them..     loading what?

Loading the bitcoin to the physical coin.
