81  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports Betting picks - 8 wins - 8 losses on: September 28, 2013, 07:57:09 AM
Are you using any betting amount strategies or are they all equal bets?
82  Economy / Services / Re: About 20 Bitcoins STOLEN from my Blockchain.info wallet! 5btc reward! on: September 28, 2013, 07:54:58 AM
I hope my blockchain.info coins are safe. I will have to check later.

It makes me worried to click any link now. I thought they had to download something on my computer to infect it. Now they say all I have to do is load a page with java and it's over with.

Any tech savvy guys give me some pointers on how to keep my PC protected?

If he was smart he would retire.

I'm a bitcoin retiree? Has a nice ring to it.

Or

I retired from bitcoin...in 2013.

Gamblers newer retire, the days would be boring

The smart ones would. Why risk a life savings? I guess I will never get the gambler mentality.
It's easy to understand. If you lose you will think: "I can get it back up". If you win, you think: "I can win more". Because of that, it's quite hard to stop with gambling.

See that's it right there, its really not hard at all. When I have won money I think "I'm ahead enough, no need to risk it now". Maybe that's why I don't feel the need to gamble.
85  Economy / Goods / Re: Loadable Two-Factor Aluminum Bitcoins on: September 28, 2013, 07:35:22 AM
I generate the keys and 'assemble' them, the coins themselves are from Casascius and the holograms I found online..

Do you store the private keys or ever have access to them? how is the loading process done?

I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Questions so other newbs like myself can learn.  If OP would have had 2 way authenticator activated and second password for spending transactions could this still have happened?

Next I always see these paper wallet suggestions, but is that really necessary if your protect your computer?  Honestly if paper is the only it really makes Bitcoin less useful since once you put your coins on a paper wallet, spending them is a pain in the butt.

If paper wallets are the way to go for higher quantities, what is considered a high quantity?

If I should start a thread on this no problem, just thought maybe it pertained to this thread.

If you read this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303795.0

you will see nothing is considered too high or low. Someone must of went through a lot of searching to steal just over 1BTC.

HUMM it's interesting that someone else had their wallet hacked today as well... it looks like they didn't get that much but it's likely that person didn't have as much in his account.  I don't know if any other people got their blockchain accounts hacked today or within the last 24 hours but if it is more than just me then it could mean that someone found a way to exploit Blockchain wallets!

This could really answer all the questions of how they got into my account because I don't see how anyone could have done it otherwise...

Maybe when others check their blockchain wallets and find that they were hacked too then it would be up to blockchain to fix these... at least this would give me some hope...

I'm thinking whoever is behind this is getting a lot of people. The address of the other thief has had at least 2 more transactions totaling over 10BTC enter his account since the hack. Is there anybody at blockchain.info that can shed light on the subject, or is that not possible?

I wouldn't be surprised if there is an exploit somewhere along the line.

Agree here. This would be one of the worst ones, along with Scarface.

You would have better luck on localbitcoins.com or better yet cashing out from paypal and using moneypak or another more secure payment.

send a PM to my lender to say yes for it.
but if he want to stay anonymous i will respect that, but now you have the ID.

Please allow the lender to post confirmation.
"Estimated BTC Transacted   0.225924 BTC"
You said you are paying back 0.5BTC.

He may have sent the    1KUEcT6NUyhnALhG6CkgUmEWpJp48A9mWj 0.5 BTC as payback and the other .22xxx was returned?

OP can we have you sign a message at very minimum showing you own that sending address? It won't prove everything but it will help. Otherwise this looks very suspect.

On a side not it looks like he's stole another 10BTC since he got you.  Undecided

How else can a key logger gain access without having you download something? Maybe the porn is related to this. Prob a good idea to hold back on your urges.

Are you fucking out of your mind? My god I need 2 computers and to stop looking a porn. I am to blame I am sure of it. Nothing needs to change hear.. nothing to see here folks keep it moving.

I didn't mean to offend you but to answer your question, No I am not out of my mind. I don't think it's a bad thing to not look at porn online if you can't keep to one site you know is safe and legit. The issue with porn online is people will good something and just go crazy clicking links trying to rub one off. Be smart about it if you have money turning up missing.

For the record I don't think it's your fault some asshat feels the need to steal. The worst part about it is, the thief could probably earn more with his/her computer knowledge than the amount of bitcoins they stole.
96  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where is Bitcoin Most Popular? on: September 28, 2013, 06:01:48 AM

97  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] House, garage, condo, or similar living space in San Antonio, Texas 80BTC on: September 28, 2013, 05:57:05 AM
Do you have any wiggle room? I don't see 80BTC getting a house and garage. I rent out of the city for just under 10k a year, I would be highly surprised if you found something in the city for any less.

You may be able to find a sell by owner and use that as a down payment then rent to own? Not a bad idea if you find a house you can stand living in for a couple years.
98  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: UPDATED: betcoindice.tm scam has not paid me nor shows verification on: September 28, 2013, 05:49:24 AM
UPDATE... email from betcoin no transaction yet, but will update.
EMAIL:
We're extremely sorry for your frustrating experience, we had experienced a massive double-spend attack on the Dice game, which led to an automatic lockdown of some parts of the system, and the transactions being processed at a slower pace, however the bet results will remain the same due to the provably fair nature of the game. We always strive to ensure the safety of the funds of legitimate players, while keeping the malicious ones out. Our apologies for the delay - we understand that all of your transactions will be processed within the next few hours. Our system is currently rescanning the bitcoin transactions to ensure that our players don't lose bitcoins to malicious attackers who mimic their transactions. We anticipate this process to be finalized within hours. Once the invalid transactions are completely filtered out - the payouts will resume at the usual speed. A more robust hardware solution for filtering out such transactions will be implemented on Monday. In the meanwhile - you can continue playing, as the results will not change regardless of the payout speed, if you wish to to play something more engaging and interactive where you see the results immediately - please try out the BetCoin™ Circle, it's actually my personal favorite. In the meanwhile please rest assured that your Bitcoins are as safe with us as they would be with a Swiss bank. We keep 25,000 BTC per each of our existing game projects, namely www.betcoincircle.com, www.betcoindice.comwww.betcoin.tm . We're about to launch a brand-new million dollar-grade lottery project shortly, and you - as our valued customer - will receive a significant amount of tickets from us for free. Please write back when you see the game go live, and I will personally take care of you.

Kind regards,

Peter Nolan
PR Director

***Spoiler alert***

I've watched Dexter from season one and have thought out how the end would come. To my surprise Dexter didn't take a dirt nap but I am pleased with the end result. It would of been ok if he went with Debra in the end and they didn't add the ending logger scene.
