43  Other / Beginners & Help / 2 x 6870 temperature difference +/- 14 °C. on: February 08, 2012, 04:34:47 PM
I have 2 HD6870 in my workstation and use them for Bitcoin mining, but there is huge temperature difference between both cards.

The primaire card runs @ 850 Mhz core, 1050 Mem, Fan 60% 1.137 vcore and the temp is around 80 °C
The secundaire card runs @ 950 Mhz core, 1050 Mem, Fan 60% 1.137 vcore and the temp is around 68 °C

My monitor is connected to the primaire.

Can anybody tell me what the issue is with that, I switched the cards and it doesn't matter, the card in PCIe x16 slot 1 gets hotter than the card in PCIe x16 slot 2.
How is that possible? I have CrossfireX birdge installed but CrossfireX is not enabled in Windows 7.
I have a Gigabyte X58A-OC mb with XFX HD6870 dualfan cards.
Is there something i'm doing wrong or is this normal?

I also have 2 HD5870 running in another system and there temp diff is only +/- 3 °C
That system has the monitor connected to the secundaire card and that one runs hotter than the primaire card.

Correct me if I'm wrong but whatever card I connect the monitor to gets hotter than the one without a monitor, or is this just BS?

Thanks for the reactions, but I have to agree with Goat that there are just more sellers than buyers.
Bitcoin need to be backed by a bigger economy. People have to start using Bitcoin as a everyday method of payment.
But I'm no economic expert just a IT guy making some d$$ on the side.

Myself, I'm using Bitcoin to buy silver and gold.

By the way, nice one with the storm and other compleet BS, was laughing my a$$ off.

Seeing the price index for the first time, 20 euro for 1 Bitcoin! I want those days back!
Bitcoin can NOT fail, because I want to be rich!
47  Other / Beginners & Help / Price drop last couple of days, why?!?! on: January 29, 2012, 06:44:27 PM
Why is the Bitcoin value USD/EUR going down. Who is dumping there Bitcoins? Are it the miners, who keep mining without any demand for Bitcoins? Or is it a big invester selling out after the buying a crap load of them in early Jan?

Yo what's up.
Greetz from Holland!
May Bitcoin become very big, I still have hope that it will get bigger than the central banking system.
Central Banks suck! May they all go bust. It's time that people see that there system is just one big scam.
Lending me my tax money back against interest, WTF!!!!!!
People have to adapt to Bitcoin, We need a Android/iPone app that's super populaire and only accepts Bitcoin for payment?!?!?!!?
Anybody out there with something like angry-birds (just a example) and buyable extra's in the form of Bitcoin?
