Picked up some Ark this morning on Bittrex. I visited the Ark website to download the wallet for Linux and was pleasantly surprised to find the download in a .deb file. Thanks for making the install process easy. The wallet installed without a hitch. Many coins could learn a lesson from Ark in making it easy to adopt.

thanks for letting us know  most people are shocked when they see our wallet and how stylish it keeps getting. People have said it's one of the best looking wallets out there. Since we are making Click and deploy interoperable blockchains, all the sub components need to work easily and seamlessly for the new blockchains which will also need wallets and explorers so we're glad this is coming along greatly! Do dividends have to be voted? I have about 100K of ARK to vote.

is a total noob question that only noobs ask because it blankets the whole topic and reality what you're asking is which one should I invest in or which one is better?
That's also not a valid question because no one here can explain why COMIT protocol does what it does. My question was aimed to find out how ARK is trying to separate itself from other similar technologies since I wasn't aware of COMIT until fairly recently. I'm not here asking for investing advise, am I? Don't assume things. I may have a noob question, but I'm sure there are others here who are wondering the same thing. People come here to find information about ARK's technology. "ARK on sale buy now" "I like this, when should I buy?" "ARK is better than everything else" <- These are helpless posts as they provide little to no information. EDIT: COMIT is not a blockchain. It's a protocol. The question is, WHY do you need to compare what ARK is doing to what Comit is doing? Is your investment strategy to go all in on one project and flip it?
If you are not smart enough to know that interoperability is the future of blockchains, you really need to get out of this industry.

ARK Smartbridge and the COMIT protocol might have similarities but they are different. What's the point of having exact same product that does the exact same thing? The way these goals are reached are different you're right, but that difference can make it or break it for the company. Ark is a good investment for the vision.
Eventually they will create an entire ecosystem which allows anyone to easily create, customise and deploy their own blockchain with the click of a button. All the blockchains within the ARK ecosystem will be connected via Smartbridge. They'd also have the option of using Ark to buy Eth tokens with the use of ACES (many more tokens to come too).
The way I view blockchains at this moment in time is very similar to how the "internet" or rather "intranet" systems were in the 1970's. Isolated networks. TCP/IP came along and connected all the intranets together and eventually created the internet as we know it. Well ARK is trying to connect all blockchains together, we probably don't even appreciate or understand the true potential of what that will bring (I'm guessing not many people in the 70's had any idea what TCP/IP was going to achieve). But that is ARK's goal. And as far as I understand, they are way ahead of any opposition.
$5 is a complete understatement for this coin.
ARK is trying to create one large blockchain composed of smaller blockchains that can communicate between each other using built in functions. TCP/IP is a communication protocol that is comparable to the COMIT protocol (Cryptographically-secure Off-chain Multi-asset Instant Transaction network). I know that ARK is not strictly for transaction purposes between blockchains, but either way can anyone still explain some key differences between ARK's Smartbridge technology and COMIT protocol? 200k is not enough, you need 900k+ and yes you can create your own delegate and vote for urself and get the missing 700k from the community by submitting a delegate proposal

How go to top 51 delegate? what we need?
Set up a node , activate the forging feature and make a delegate proposal that will get the interest of ARK users (to get their vote). Once you gain more vote, you will listed to the top delegates or the forging delegates. I have 200000 ARK i can vote for my self? do not public my delegate only use private? yes but you also have to be running a node or else you'll be just wasting your vote. |

I agree, i don't feel comfortable that Ark even gives them a chance to have a chat. Best thing to do as Ark? Stay away from them, don't even publish the chat please just stop and trow away. the AMA's that we hold in our slack is an Equal opportunity for information. If we get accusations of scam, we will always pass it along but we don't do the research ourselves. Once this info was passed along to us, we informed everyone in our slack about the issue. Remember, we've done probably 10-15 AMA's in our slack, this one has been the only one accused of being a scam so our success ratio is still pretty good so far. Nice, that's why I'm invested in this, constant and continuous developing. Btw I don't get what are differences between TypeScript and JavaScript  just a different programming language. So that people who code using different languages can implement ARK transactions using their native code that they like to program in. |

what if my votes are divided between 2 addresses.
One is a top delegate and another one is not in the 51 top delegates.
Is my vote power divided when it comes to forging for the voted delegate ?!
Ex: If I have 1000 ark vote power, then I'm only forging with 500 ark vote power ?
You'll only get rewards from forging active delegates, if he is out of 51 he won't forge and thus won't be able to distribute his forged ARK (as there won't be any if he is outside the 51). Yeah I get this, but for the forging delegate, will my rewards be calculated on 500 ark power or 1000 ark power ?! it's calculated as 1 ark per vote. so if you have two addresses, the one voting for the delegate that IS in the top 51 will get the power of the ark IN that address. so if you only have 500 ark in that one, then the power will be calculated at 500. If you add another 100 ark to it, then it will change to 600 power. etc. |

correct. There is a fee for all vote transactions and a vote is the same thing as an unvote, it is a whole transaction. |

Is this software actually usable now in real world commerce case?
I have internet cafe that I want to switch to run on crypto, all transactions done through crypto. People give me cash, I give them Ark card/chip that they use to login to my computer terminals or pay for goods. I want my own chain to track all transactions. Ark seems like good use case for this, many other coins have seemed like they can do this as well but after actually trying to implement do not provide this functionality. What language is this in (edit: found javascript on their github)? Whitepaper reads like written by novice without any technicals.
