1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining still profitable with high power VPS? on: October 12, 2019, 08:16:09 PM
You basically need GPUs to make some small profit like $0.20/day/gpu. CPU is very difficult these days.

$0.20/day/gpu Per what component of the GPU is that referring to? (i.e. core, watt)

Thanks

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining still profitable with high power VPS? on: October 12, 2019, 03:21:39 AM
If you have an unused server and electricity is free then obviously yes.
Monero is going to migrate to RandomX algo which essentially means CPU mining will get a big boost and that will enable you to utilize your server for some good profits.

BTW 20GHz? Care to elaborate?

It's vCore, I'm not sure the difference of to actual core, but I just know it's in terms of GHz.

How comfortable are you with computers?

Unfortunately RAM doesn't matter so much for mining. What you need is computing power. Given that you say you have 20 Ghz, assuming thats a cluster of CPUs or something, the first thing you'd need to do is check how much your electricity rates cost, make sure it's at least less than $0.1 kwh. Afterwards, just setup your mining software and go crazy with Monero.

I'm good but not a tech guru.
How much Monero currency can be anticipated per month if this 20GHz runs 24/7? Is there a way to calculate?

I have an unused server with 20GHz and 20 rams. Is this even feasible to make any profit on any crypto?

4  Other / Off-topic / Re: is vpsproxy.com a scam operation? on: July 09, 2019, 11:23:25 PM
Is a scam. They didn't reply to me. I usually don't get scam, but this time was impulse buy. I lost $15.

I'll contact Google or government to de-index them. Anyone has a problem, do the same.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer -> Millinillion u=1301312 tried to steal $150! HOW TO SPOT A SCAMMER on: April 28, 2019, 05:01:59 AM
what took 5 days to get an escrow?

It took a little while, but he agreed in the time. It was a digital info item, so most escrow didn't do that.

7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scammer -> Millinillion u=1301312 tried to steal $150! HOW TO SPOT A SCAMMER on: April 27, 2019, 05:52:40 PM
How do you spot a scammer? When an escrow is used and the seller dodges the escrow in the last minute.
I warn everyone to use escrow all the way.

I was planning to buy an info item; AGC method at 65% rate; and the price was announced at $150.

He gave up on the last minute.
With these 2 excuses:
-no longer selling it (LOL)
-already sold it to a couple people

Another excuse is he said I took too long which is retarded. Within the last 5 days I was looking for an escrow and eventually found an escrow early yesterday. He agreed to sell it WITHIN the 5 days.

I'm a noob but been here for years, and don't sell anything.

On the last minute, he didn't attend the escrow and came up with all the excuses.
Thanks to the escrow: DarkStar_, I was able to protect my $150.

Here's to show that I actually opened up the escrow on Telegram: Douglass is the Millinillion user.

8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for an ESCROW to verify/confirm info item (AGC method) on: April 26, 2019, 12:24:02 AM
I'm not necessarily the most trusted user you'll find

That's tough, I'll see if that works.

Here is a list about the most trusted escrow services on Bitcointalk:

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for an ESCROW to verify/confirm info item (AGC method) on: April 25, 2019, 08:34:28 PM
Looking for an ESCROW. Must be reputable, and not noobs around here.

I need a middleman to verify/confirm that a method to obtain amazon gift cards at 65% rate works. He said it's whitehat (legal), and insisted I can use an escrow.

Interested in escrow? Contact me, or post below.

------------------------------------------------
It must comply with my terms,

Must not be:
carding
ewhoring
redeeming points/rewards
posting ads (on marketplaces/forums)
no scamming; no social engineering

Must be:
consistent
can be greyhat
from a reputable source (not a random dude on skype, etc.)
------------------------------------------------
All the above acknowledged.

$5 AGC value can be tested on this, and I can pay that.
This is not the OV method, I used that 1st 2 years ago, it's a dead method.
Not paxful/localbitcoins method.

I already tried these escrow list:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
They were either: absent, closed, scared, or naive (thought whitehat meant illegal)

Somebody help me with this...

11  Economy / Services / Need ESCROW for info item verification on: April 25, 2019, 07:28:28 PM

Can someone direct me to a middleman who will do this?
Need verification for info item: to verify a method to obtain AGC (legal, whitehat). The seller suggested that I can use a mid-man to order.

I tried these guys:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
but they are either ignored, passed, or naive about this. They think whitehat means illegal.

12  Economy / Digital goods / Buying AGC Method that will obtain 50%-65% of value. on: April 25, 2019, 01:04:21 AM

As long as it complies with these terms:

Must not be:
carding
ewhoring
scamming/social engineering
redeeming points/rewards
posting ads (on marketplaces/forums)

Must be:
consistent (i.e. can use multiple times any time)
can be greyhat

Don't show me the OV method <-- I was the 1st to do that 2 years ago, but now it's a dead method.

You can't scam me, because I will use ESCROW middleman to verify your method for me.

18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can PayPal transfer funds to a linked Bitcoin Debit Card? on: June 30, 2017, 11:25:43 PM
I have the same question, I know Xapo card let's you do it (it's in their site) and you have to change it to your Xapo card currency on PayPal. The problem is that when you withdraw to your Xapo account it instantly buy BTC, then when you go spending them either at the ATM or at a shop it gets converted again to fiat, so it's not ideal.

Most of these services have a fiat option (even Xapo, BitPay, Bitwala, etc which are the most reputable ones) so the ideal would be that the debit card pulls from your fiat deposit directly not from your BTC (or that you could at least choose).

Xapo should serve the purpose. At least the PayPal can be hedged to another linked bank account to fiat currency. I'd rather get the "ideal debit card" as well if they exist...
19  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can PayPal transfer funds to a linked Bitcoin Debit Card? on: June 30, 2017, 11:05:34 PM
That's interesting--I think as long as you have a valid debit card, they'll link your account to it.  I don't think it needs to be linked to an actual bank.  Have you tried it yet?  I'd be curious as to whether it works or not.  That would actually be awesome if it did.

Have not tried.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can PayPal transfer funds to a linked Bitcoin Debit Card? on: June 30, 2017, 10:59:19 PM
I know it is possible with some of the providers such as Spectrocoin and the other ones, although not as an unverified user, you need to pass their verification process to receive deposits from 3rd parties.  I could be wrong but I have seen this mentioned in some of their terms.

That's true, but unfortunately we can't use it in the USA because they don't verify US citizens. Hard to say when this will change as US regulations too strict.
