761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if my account has positive trust is it value pushed up? on: August 21, 2015, 01:37:07 AM
It is true that accounts with positive trust are more valuable and it it true that scammers will buy these accounts in attempt to scam people. I think that the people who got their accounts to their high level of trust are unlikely to sell their accounts since they are indeed trustworthy people and are aware of the scammers who will but their accounts. There is nothing that can really be done to prevent the selling of accounts which is why as far as I know is why it is tolerated.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Account on: August 21, 2015, 12:20:15 AM
im broke and unemployed for 20 years no retirement for me lol

you must be rich or someone else is feeding you, in this case maybe you can take advantage of his inheritance if he want you as a heir

or just try to earn even a single bitcoin, in a far distant future, it may be enough to do a retirement
No he doesn't. Many people are officially unemployed, which means they have no contract and no retirement fund, but they are working and have enough to pay their bills.
Don't immediately label all unemployed and broke people as lazy.

exactly, people judge so much these days. Some people can be deceased, old, demotivated, depressed, whatever. Its easy to assume, very few of us have personally done something to benefit the bitcoin community. I have known so limited people who are doing crypto business and even less who talk about crypto in order for it to get more acceptance and recognition. And then we question others and labelling them lazy, wtf

With the way the economy is going these days, I don't see a real problem with these alternative ways of making money. I tell my friends that I post on this forum and get paid from signature campaigns and they tell me to get a real job - one that does not involve sitting in front of a  computer. Work is work and while I may not be "employed" I am still doing my best to stay self sufficient and take care of myself.
763  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 21, 2015, 12:00:11 AM
*snip*
I do respect people with minimum wage jobs, especially in areas with social welfare programs, such as where I live....and that's because they get paid marginally higher than people that are on social welfare and sit at home collecting other people's taxes, while contributing nothing.  I do understand that there are some legitimate cases where people are down on their luck and end up in unfortunate situations, but it's also something that is very widely taken advantage of by others.

You guys should stop quoting all these messages at some point in order to keep it easy to read.

Minimum wages have advantages and disadvantages. Disadvantages in the sense that you interupt the free market. However, I think it has some advantages as people do get paid an acceptable wage for their work.

However, we've seen problems with increasing wages (which is the case when minimum wages are implemented). I'm not sure which particular country it was, but it was a country in which many clothes are made.

The current clothing industry pays these workers very little. What happend was that they collectively stopped working in order to increase their wages. They succeed; wages have increased. However, clothing companies thought these workers were too expensive now and these moved towards other countries. Result: many people unemployed and thereby many people who have to live from a wage that is even far less than they had in the first place.

I have heard different arguments on both sides of this debate. On the one hand, if we were to mandate that everybody be paid $10 and hour, why are we not mandating $15 an hour or even $20 an hour. People have argued at the end of the day you determine how much you are worth, depending on your skills and experience. On the other hand, the implementation of minimum wage prevents employers from paying slave labor.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin XT on: August 20, 2015, 11:51:33 PM
If there is enough hash power on XT, the fork will occur and this will bring down the price of bitcoin. I am against this XT thing. There has already been a drop in price because of this stuff and I am hoping this dies off so it will bring the price of bitcoin back up.
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: PRICE DOWN on: August 20, 2015, 10:24:51 PM
The launch of Bitcoin XT is the very reason why the price went down, more than 10% of the network shifted from btc to btc xt in under 72 hours, causing crash. The btc xt is growing to be a separate currency now and I think there are more cons to it than the pro, its effect on market s pretty negative. It increases the 1mb blocks to 8mb blocks for more capacity, being the very reason why btc software doesn't support it making it an individual currency.

You mean to say now bitcoins don't have any future? Need to sell and shift to bitcoin XT?

I mean to say that ofcourse, the capacity needed to be expanded but the division of two separate entities is killing the authenticity of the currency, I think the Btc XT project should be modified or killed asap, it is not benefiting the community on a micro level, and I believe bitcoins do have a future, and I will never sell and shift to anything else, to hell with the XT bullshit. btc all the way.

and why many are selling their bitcoin, so bitcoin price to go down,
that means many are beginning to be afraid to use bitcoin, and switch pro xt ?

They're called weak hands  Grin.
There are some switching over to XT. I personally am going to stick to Bitcoin Core and hope this fork dies. We already saw what effect it had on the price.
766  Economy / Services / Re: [FREEBIE] Volenteering coding consultation on: August 20, 2015, 09:55:06 PM
What is considered a small coding job?  I would like a classical looking video poker website that accepts bitcoin Smiley
something that involves integrated database connectivity such as user registration or a photo gallery module for WordPress. Thanks for the idea though, I was considering posting a thread inn the project section to see if there was anyone willing to invest in a progressive Pai Gow website.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Different fees on: August 20, 2015, 09:17:16 PM
You will definitely want to look into the fees setting in the wallet your using. Bitcoin core has an option to disable fees. I will take a long time for the transaction to confirm on the blockchain. Smart fee is the best way to go as pointed out above.
768  Economy / Services / Re: [FREEBIE] Volenteering coding consultation on: August 20, 2015, 08:56:24 PM
where to find your jobs? I'd like tested your code.
why you do not upload on github or similar site
tx.
My only project is on another hard drive and at the moment I can't pay for  technician to retrive it's contents. I am working on a VB.NET based application for a paying client. I am just installing Windows, and I will have the bot up on github by midnight tonight.
769  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Its time for the campaign runners to raise your pathetic rates on: August 20, 2015, 08:53:23 PM
I think that signature campaigns are a great way to supplement your weekly income, but it is definitely not enough to live on. You're not going to make a lot with a new account, but as you rank up, the pay is actually pretty good considering what you have to do. You are essentially being paid to learn about bitcoin. You will always need a real job in the real world, ideally.
770  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Not Bitcoin XT on: August 20, 2015, 06:01:39 PM
If there is a fork in the blockchain, as pointed put above, it creates many security threats to the entire network. In addition, from what I have read so far, two different chains may lead to the creation of a new coin.If this were to happen, the value of Bitcoin will drop. That is why I am personally against this non-consensus fork. Is there anything I'm not understanding? Please let me know.
771  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Super computer? on: August 20, 2015, 05:50:37 PM
I'm not quite sure what you mean exactly. You could have several ASIC mining units all connected to the same network and build your own mining farm. It would cost you a lot of money depending on how much electricity costs where you live. Mining for most people is dead. If you have the startup funds however, you could still mine altcoins and then sell the for BTC.
772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: August 20, 2015, 03:05:34 AM
I got some funds sent to escrow, BTC.043 for coding a bot for some. It may not be a lot but I am happy for getting the opportunity.
773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: August 19, 2015, 11:59:20 PM
I keep seeing this come up. The kind of people who ask this question over and over again seem to literally think that money grows on their computer. That may have been true a long time ago, but now bitcoin's mining difficulty is much greater and this is not the case anymore. Your best bet is to get a bitcoin paying job or join a signature campaign. Everything else will not bring you a substantial income.
774  Other / Meta / Re: Being Trolled on: August 19, 2015, 11:54:23 PM
Ignore the troll and you will go away. One thing you have to remember is anything can happen on this forum; you have to treat it no different than real life. Ignore the person and eventually they will give up and go away.
775  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have Question about Master card on: August 19, 2015, 11:48:33 PM
I would say someone scammed you on freelancer. Either that or he violated their rules so much that it got him banned.
776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to create an exchange on: August 19, 2015, 11:46:16 PM
The coding part should relatively easy. I would be more concerned with physical security of your wallet, the security of the website and of course the law. An exchange is a big project.
777  Economy / Services / Re: Earn Bitcoins by doing Captchas! [Easy & Newbie Friendly] [0.007 BTC / 2000] on: August 19, 2015, 11:38:57 PM
Thanks for the PM. I will get started on this soon.
778  Economy / Speculation / Re: You all know it's going to crash? on: August 19, 2015, 10:59:27 PM
I don't think the price of bitcoin is ever going to sink below $200 again. We have seen the price stay above this mark for some time now. As I keep reiterating, bitcoin is a new technology with lots of new potential. Once an innovated application is developed from the blockchain technology, we will see a big change in price.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 19, 2015, 09:25:32 PM
Investing  depends on type of investment that you make.. Its good to invest in Bitcoins because in long run you will earn best Return on Investments. Saving is for present but Investments are for future benefits.

I don't know, I've been saying this a lot that bitcoin is great for future but I am myself being a little pessimist now, I see there is the birth of btc xt which gives mroe capacity in blocks of 1mb to 8mb, more than 10% network adapted it in 72 hours, I am just afraid about the future of btc, there has been birth of new currency and people just don't get it, the cons are more than the pros :/
I've been doing quite a lot of reading about Bitcoin XT and I think from what I've read so far is without official consensus of majority decide on the new numbers, we may see a drop in price for the time being. I think Bitcoin XT is going to phase out and and die, or at least become an altcoin.

So I was building a portfolio on my laptop until I accidently fried the motherboard and now I need to get that computer fixed. In the meantime, I am offering 2 free small PHP and MySQL coding jobs to build my credibility as a coder. I will use my work and add it to my portfolio on my website.
