Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Gold Fork Wallet

After searching around and finding about 100 different opinions on where to store BTC for the October 25th fork, so as to receive the BTC Gold... I have still yet to find a solid answer.
I even messaged blockchain.info and they said they will NOT be honoring the BTC Gold. For the BTC Cash fork I just left my BTC in Poloniex and received the BTC Cash tokens as I should, but now I am seeing discussion that Poloniex, Bittrex and none of the exchanges are going to be honoring the BTC Gold fork.
So. What software wallet to store BTC in to guarantee we receive the full amount of BTC Gold after the fork?
The only one to be sure : Bitcoin core ! With Bitcoin core, your Bitcoins are in the BTC blockchain and you are the owner of the private key. Don't forget : The owner of your bitcoin is only the owner of the private key.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price-Will it jump up after the BTC Fork?

Do you guys think the price of ETH Will rise significantly once the investors from BTC / BTC Gold sell off? What about the other alt coins? Which one do you think will rise the most as a function of the BTC Gold users selling out of BTC?
There is no reasons that ETH price will rise significantly after the BTC forks. ETH will rise if the ETH team works and works fine. What's about the so long time promised PoS, for example ?

What’s the difference between Bitcoin-Qt and Bitcoin Core?
There is no difference. Only historic "rebranding". Now "Bitcoin-Qt" is not used, only "Bitcoin core". Qt is the name of a computer language/environment.

Hi, all! I saw lots of posts regarding account selling and I wonder if it's ok to buy one. As far as I can see, I can change all account information except the username, right? I guess it really depends on with whom you trade, but if there's anyone who had an experience in selling/buying an account in this forum, please share your thoughts/ideas!
Thanks in advance!
No, buying an account is not safe at all ! A lot of accounts are stolednby hackers and when you buy it, you encourage thieves. Making business with thieves is not safe at all !

Hi everyone!
I want to find some information regarding one project but the thread where I can find this info is really big (100+ pages). How can I search through the whole thread and not page by page? I know that there is "ALL" button but it seems to disappear after a certain number of pages.
? Have you seen the "search" buttum on the upper right ? This buttton works fine, very fine. Made some tests and yu will be satisfy, no doubt about that :-).

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Doing both CPU and GPU mining on a machine?
|
on: October 07, 2017, 07:58:51 PM

Is it possible for two miner softwares to be running on a machine? One doing CPU mining, other doing GPU mining?
Yes, sure. You can also use one runing software and one runing software different instance (same or differents mining software) for each your GPU. If you have 6 GPUs, you can run 1 (CPU) + 6 (GPUs) = 7 instances of mining software on the same machine.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any GPU Mining Historians Here?

Hi All, I'm wondering if anyone here is an experienced GPU miner that can tell us a little history with GPU mining and what to expect?
On the one hand, it seems like GPU mining is dying out as ETH difficulty goes up, and other coins are not as profitable. Also I see that GPU's were once sold out, but now more easy to get, which is a sign less people are getting into mining.
On the other hand, I see that companies are releasing mining specific hardware like new motherboards just for mining. It seems that some companies see a possible future in mining.
So, which is it? Dying or growing? Has it gotten this slow in the past, and what do you think we can expect in the next 6-12 months?
The GPU mining market is very volatil. One month, you can earn a lot with uor GUs... and next month, you can lost a lot... It's a compromise beetween investment and market. In the past, the GPU mining was dead one or two times, but it rebirth one or two time.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some coins mineable, and some are not?

Hi All, does anyone know why some coins are mineable and some aren't?
I am new to GPU mining and I wonder if there will always be profitable coins to mine, or if one day all coins will no longer be mineable.
The mineable feature is a feature of the coin. It's depends of how the coin creator want his coin would be creating. All the coin in one time, the day of the creation or in a certain period of time...
