Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs should only create Tokens with Working Product(s)

Enough of people just creating tokens just for the sole purpose of trading it in exchanges and making money after the ICO. In order for a token to survive or stand the test of time, there is need for it to have a working product or service it directly supports. This is what a lot of tokens are lacking today.
In my opinion, any token to be created should bring in something new. It must be a token that will add value to the society and not just for the purpose of trading it in exchanges and cashing out money.
If we actually want cryptocurrency to survive and appeal to the ordinary people, then we must create ONLY tokens relevant to the society's needs or solves at least a particular societal problem.
Only investing in old ICOs which already have working products

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sonny's observation on the effects of bounty hunting on ICO projects

Bounty hunting used to be great. Back in the days, there was an unspoken code of ethics - and common sense - that resulted in hunters thinking like ICO contributors and setting their sell orders at least 1.5x above ICO price. Unfortunately, common sense went out the window a long time ago. So, while it's lamentable that hunters get treated the way they are these days, the sad truth is it's not uncalled for. I'm an ICO contributor and also a hunter. I've seen the damages of bounty hunters underselling first hand... I've also enjoyed the pleasure of buying dirt cheap from them.
When it's in mass production phase everything is cheaper, just like ICO or bounty

Elon Musk Wants to Buy Ethereum (ETH), Even If It Is a Crypto Scam.
It seems that Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of SpaceX, Telsa and Solar City, is ready to enter the cryptocurrency market buying Ethereum. Or at least, this is what he hinted on Twitter.
On August 28, the famous figure and entrepreneur wrote in the famous social network that he wants to buy ETH ‘even if it is a scam.’
The tweet written by Elon Musk is related to a post in which Twitter says that it has removed over 486 accounts after being engaged in ‘coordinated manipulation.’
Of course, the internet is full of scams, and during the last year, several fraudsters have been trying to steal funds from users by impersonating important individuals. Just under his Tweet, a fake Elon Musk account offered a fake ETH and BTC Giveaway.
These kind of scams have affected not only Elon Musk, but also other important figures such as the U.S. President Donald Trump; Changpeng Zhao, Binance creator; or Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum’s co-founder.
Twitter couldn’t deal with these scammers and several newcomers fall in these frauds.
It is important to mention that at the beginning of the year, Facebook, Twitter and Google decided to ban ads from Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and other projects due to high risk of fraud. We also saw that Elon Musk had a medium.com scam going on that users should be aware of.
What are your thoughts on Elon Musk's sense of cryptocurrency humor? While it might not be serious, its good publicity for Ethereum (ETH) during trying times as the coin went from near $1,400 USD at the beginning of 2018 to now under $300 as it looks for its next catalyst…which might be in the form of an Elon Musk tweet..in which it did for Tesla, so why not Ether?
If it don't come from https://twitter.com/elonmusk then it's not him, simple as that

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹

Those artistic announcements are on a league of their own! Do you have a full time job for those graphics? If not, you will soon have to put this guy under 100% artistic jobs... it seems you'll keep having a lot of new collaborations and a lot of announcements to artisti fy! Like I said we're at almost one announced/day now rate . I saw on Ark's slack that Ark is being added to this changelly-like exchange: https://www.coindirect.com/peer-to-peer. They have an artist behind their graphics but unfortunally I don't recall his name Im shocked that ARK is alive. Used to have something to it which is vaporized over time. I have a report that something out of this world broke into this exact world and kindled the fire in a midnight bowl. Now we talk. What should I expect from the price if I know there are collaborations with somebody in the process and nothing besides that. Can somebody feed me with the details. You must confused Ark with Lisk. Lisk is a vaporware and not Ark. Lisk purpose is to have JavaScript app as sidechain and it's now taking them into 4 years but the Lisk blockchain look more and more like Ark instead. Lisk now is just a copy of Ark techs, this making them like something is going on so people wouldn't say it's a vaporware outright. No hate on Lisk, I hope they would give Ark credit instead of hiding and manipulating. This really bothered me even though I haven't see or heard any Ark team talk about it. I actually do have some Lisk myself.
