1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The Bee Token | Housing Rentals on the Blockchain | Decentralized AirBnB on: February 02, 2018, 12:47:14 AM

Not sure what the difference is. You either got scammed because you sent money to the wrong ETH address or because you invested in this ICO. Do your due diligence people.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The Bee Token | Housing Rentals on the Blockchain | Decentralized AirBnB on: January 31, 2018, 08:46:10 PM

This makes no sense. The entire business model is that you charge no fees... then how do you monetize? How are you going to replace AirBNB because you are on the blockchain? Why is the blockchain needed?

People need an incentive to move over to your platform, having zero fees is not an incentive. Unless the listings are going to be distributed to other platforms you have zero audience, and therefore zero listings.

Why would someone use their credit card to buy bee tokens, to then rent a rental home, instead of just renting the home directly using their credit card?

I feel like this business plan was written on a napkin somewhere in Silicon Valley, by someone who has never actually operated a business.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Identifying potential scam coins on: October 12, 2017, 11:29:42 PM

Read the whitepaper and if it makes no sense than it's likely a scam coin. They like to overgeneralize about changing the world, and use crypto terminology to the point where it makes no sense. You can buy a whitepaper on People Per Hour or Fiverr for $100, so it goes to show that most of them mean nothing. See if you recognize any of the team from other projects as the team is the most important.

Check to see if they are a working product. Stay away from anything promising the moon.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Share where you invest on: October 12, 2017, 11:27:34 PM

I invest by trading on exchanges such as bittrex and liqui. I also invest in ICOs, some good ones are the ones in my signature, worldcore, etherparty, etc.

Stay away from any website promising to pay interest on your bitcoins, those are mostly scams. Some bitcoin mining operations such as Genesis Mining are decent, but most promise the moon and don't pay, you'd be better off holding your coins.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash on: October 12, 2017, 11:25:36 PM

All legitimate exchanges will have bitcoin cash for you to buy. I recommend bittrex or liqui. Poloniex is not bad. Stay away from yobit as they are a scam operation.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Differentiate between an ICO and a scam on: October 12, 2017, 11:22:27 PM

Not all ICOs are scams, but there are a lot of scam ICOs.

You need to look at the team behind the operation, if they have a real world product, what the future plans are. Ask yourself are they solving a real world problem is is it another spin on a new decentralized currency which does absolutely nothing new. Don't rely on Google Adwords advertising.

Similar to the stock markets, there are scams but there's also many legitimate companies.

The easiest way is to get bitcoingold is keep your BTC is a safe exchange such as bittrex.com
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Waves a better project? on: October 03, 2017, 05:59:47 AM

The problem is ICOs go towards Ethereum platform as they historically raise more money, this makes it difficult for Waves to compete. Ethereum has the first movers advantage, but the Waves platform is much more user friendly. If they could convince 1 or 2 large ICOs to use them instead they could go to the moon.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I have two myetherwallets. on: October 03, 2017, 05:57:36 AM

I have multiple accounts and this is not an issue. It's like having multiple yahoo or gmail accounts, why not?
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Low Trade Volume on: October 03, 2017, 05:53:50 AM

There's a crackdown in China and South Korea which is causing the downward volume.  Some coins are junk coins and will go down in volume once the excitement about the ICO is over.
11  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for a list of all dice/casino sites that accept outside investments on: August 10, 2017, 03:31:05 PM
Does anybody have something like this? Or even just a suggestion for me? I'm looking to start investments at several casinos.

What i would suggest is diversify your investment across a multitude of platforms. I would pick 25% bitvest, 25% Cryptogames, 25% Yolodice, 12.5% in JD since they only accept clams which fluctuate and 12.5% in safedice. If they accept kelly then i would definitely go for at least 2-3x kelly to maximize profits because it is really unlikely that 33% or 50% of the whole bankroll will be ever won by a singel person.

Most common casinos accepting Investments: SafeDice, YoloDice, Crypto-Games.net, King Dice, MegaDice.

Maybe there is one or another accepting too, but these are the sites I know. Before start investing look for reviews about each one of them. When investing in casinos you need to always look for news, because few of them can go bad...

Thanks! Do you know if yobit accepts investors?

Do not use Yobit. They claim that this is a tool for developers to promote but if thats true there would only be new coins on there. But no, bitcoin is listed at a return of 0.2% per day. It's probably a ponzi scheme.

Thanks! That is what I was planning on doing. I'm invested in the bankroll at two different casinos right now and looking for any other safe ones that I can get in at. Some of the ones mentioned above don't accept US customers. Any way to easily get around this? Also, what is "JD"?
12  Economy / Securities / Re: High risk/reward bitcoin investment platforms on: August 09, 2017, 07:40:14 PM
I'm in at bitconnect.co. It's likely some form of Ponzi but I get everything back in 100 days from the 1% daily return anyways. They've been around about 2 years I think? Tried to do some research on this forum but nobody has really shared their experience I think.

Has anybody used this service? Seems to promise a daily return. Very suspicious but have heard decent things about it. Anybody have info?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to claim BCH if I use Breadwallet on: August 02, 2017, 11:23:41 PM
I have some coins on a breadwallet. I have the 12 word private phrase to the wallet. How do I use this to claim my BCH?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | POS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: June 30, 2017, 09:52:22 PM
I contacted the devs about this but they told me that they have told Yobit staff to update their wallet repeatedly and they refused.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Fees and Segwit on: June 04, 2017, 08:44:50 PM
the value of a transaction is meaningless when it comes to fees, the only thing that counts is the size in bytes. a 10 input transaction for 0.001 btc is gonna cost more than a 1 input transaction of 10,000 btc.

fees have risen of course and so has the price. if bitcoin was $250 still it wouldn't be such an issue.

segwit will ease the pressure but it might not be the miracle people are looking for. a segwit block fits more transactions in but high fees might be here to stay.

Thanks for your reply. In the long term, if you had to hold one, would you choose BTC or ETH?
