Just to update this, I have put in the avatar (and all the other items) though I am having some problems with the avatar right now. Though I have seen this happen in some other campaigns so I would just give it a couple hours. Just wanted to let you know...thanks!

The guy was paid for Week 1 of work, so I'm not exactly sure where the "scam" comes into play.

The 'scam' (notice that I put scam in quotes, please) is the fact that he has been booted from your campaign and is going to lose out on money. Little does he know (or understand) that anyone could get booted from the campaign at any point. And if they are booted, then they aren't entitled to anymore money. This guy is just butt-hurt he's going to be losing out on some cash -- sucks....

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $Millions in Investment. Why Did Investors Choose Coinbase? on: July 30, 2018, 04:22:15 AM
Because Coinbase is a very easy place to use if you want to get involved in Crypto quick, this is something which allows for a random investor to get involved without too much of a technical barrier to entry. They're also getting the funding due to the amount of fees that they're able to collect from these same investors who don't know the tricks to be able to same money in fees (such as using GDAX instead of buying on coinbase) Investors like that they're a trusted name in crypto, they collect high fees, and they're continuing to get more and more customers. It's a godsend for investors.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying and Selling Bitcoin with Skrill on: July 30, 2018, 02:51:03 AM
It's better to see this being offered from official companies, where they're going to have to go through the ID verification and such rather then having these being done P2P with tons of fraud happening in between -- this is done when people are using stolen accounts, fake ids, and so on and so forth. Some may say that this centralization is going to hurt Bitcoin, but this is needed to bring trust to the exchanges marketplace. Once we've established trust, we can attempt to bring decentralized -- but this isn't something we can do immediately.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Kardashian promoting Bitcoin on instagram. During Poker Game. on: July 30, 2018, 02:09:49 AM
Lovely. Now we will get a whole bundle of inexperienced people into the crypto world, who join before doing any research because a reality star talked about it, only to start panic selling as soon as the market dips (next up, Kylie Jenner accepting BTC to purchase her cosmetics).

I wouldn't go to this extreme, as I don't think her supporters are even knowledgeable enough to be able to buy into bitcoin HAHA!!!! I'm expecting to see her to use this as a chance to sell some bitcoin memorabilia or even do some coinbase referrals where she can make some easy money with her followerbase. She's a sellout, so I won't be surprised if I see an ICO ad come up....

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency sponsorships in professional sports on: July 28, 2018, 06:32:06 AM
No, I don't think that they have the ability to match the money that is coming in from the traditional sponsors which are going to be the auto companies, financial sector, etc and so on and so forth. If the profitability is there, and these companies are able to match the funds which these other sponsors are giving out. I don't think this is going to be possible for crypto companies, as they don't have the type of profit during this growth stage to be able to match these other companies. So no, I don't think it's going to happen -- and if it does I don't see it having an impact.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Gallup Poll Shows Only 2% of American Investors Own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2018, 06:16:53 AM
the data is only from a small group and they are investors to begin with so 2% can be a correct value. but it in no way represents  the whole population or the whole world. when you look at a larger scale then it does not even reach 1% and so far the data (which is from 2017) was during one of the bigger bull runs that bitcoin had and lots and lots of pumps, hypes, advertisements of altcoins which attracted investors even for a short time.

This argument isn't going to help when it comes to the world of polling, as all polling is done like this in order to find out information. It would make no sense to attempt to poll hundreds of millions of people when you're going to be able to get close to the same data through the use of a couple thousand people.

with a country as large and as fast as the United States with a total of 2% investors is a very small amount, and I personally do not really believe in the news or news.

And why is this? I think this is because people don't WANT to believe the facts.

Bitcoin creator "Satoshi" has 3 million to 5 million Bitcoins

And?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Restores Coinbase Advertisements On Platform on: July 28, 2018, 05:57:37 AM
This is a money grab, and a money grab only. Yes it may bring some more customers to Coinbase, and other exchanges who are advertising on Facebook. But these people -- in my view -- were going to find Bitcoin at some point anyway. As the only way these people are being targeted on Facebook is related to their interests, so this is going to be people who were most likely going to find out about Bitcoin at some point. I also think that this may have an effect on the Bitcoin price -- but it won't change anything relating to adoption (which is what we should really be focusing on, as price means nothing if no one is going to accept bitcoin)
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bull runs happens, how much BTC dominance will be at peak? on: July 28, 2018, 05:49:36 AM
Yet again, people think that us in the crypto community are going to be able to call out stats without any sort of error at all. But, back to the subject at hand. I do think that during a bull run -- to be clear, this is a bitcoin bull run -- that we're going to see an uptick in Bitcoin dominance. I'm not saying that it's going to be substantial, but it will be something that causes the crypto community to shed some shitty altcoins which have no use anyway. So I do think it will go up, but that's all I'd be able to predict.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Television Coming to Fox Business Network on: July 28, 2018, 05:21:40 AM
https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2018/07/blockchain-television-coming-to-fox-business-network/

I haven't seen any TV ads about crypto. Maybe this is the moment that this great invention be known to public and mainstream through TV. There are still a lot of people who doesn't know anything how the blockchain works so this would really help them and this can invite more adopters to crypto.

I am very surprised that the FUD are now fading away and the talk here in bitcointalk.org are becoming more positive. Series of positive news are now going into bitcoin and the community is high spirit. Also if this keeps coming many people will join bitcoin and will not doubt bitcoin again. Hope more of this news are going to appear and the blockchain tv will play a big impact on the growth of the community.

The community always does this when the price movement starts to change direction. People post things relating around to their feelings, you must remember this.

But back on topic here, I don't think this is going to do much to Bitcoin. This segment is going to be a small section on the fox business channel (due to the fact that it won't reasonate with most people and it's not going to bring them in revenue with advertisers) and it's going to be mostly related to blockchain tech being used in companies. That's the innovation that investors want to hear about, they don't want to hear about our random volatile currency of Bitcoin.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung: Smartphones are the Most Secure Device When Using Cryptocurrency on: July 28, 2018, 05:10:16 AM
I'd have to say this is probably pretty true, but I only use the words 'pretty true' for a big reason. The reason is the given which I'm going to propose, which is that people are using reputable wallets, which don't have access to their keys, and they ensure to save their paper backup somewhere. Now that that's out of the way, I would come to the same conclusion as OP because their aren't as many targets of hacks / malware / crypto coin stealing operations on mobile as their are on PC. But I must say that something like this will change if enough people are holding a shit ton of money on their phones instead of wallets on their computers.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Gallup Poll Shows Only 2% of American Investors Own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2018, 04:58:04 AM
This isn't FUD, nor is it some mega machine trying to kill Bitcoin. This is a poll by a reputable company which is simply stating what is fact -- within their margin of error, which is probably within 1-3 percent error -- But I don't know why people find this so weird, Bitcoin is a massiely volatile, and risky alternative investment which is not something which most people want to invest in. Most people don't have the will power to see their investment account lose 50 percent -- or more value in one day -- they want traditional investments which have went up for centuries.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Reversal Pattern, Technically And Fundamentally. What Do You Think? on: July 20, 2018, 12:09:24 AM
Ah-- cool you drew some lines on a graph and are saying that this is the reason that we're going to reverse. I feel like we're reading tea leaves around here for godsake. People don't understand that you can't predict the markets, you can't do it with Technical NOR can you do it with fundamental analysis. The markets are going to move, and we're going to watch them do such thing.
To know further movement of the price, I will collect the data and see latest situation of bitcoin circumstance. Hope the reversal pattern will apply globally for bitcoin duration and just need continuation of analysis from latest situation.

I don't see what this is going to do for you. And even though I want Bitcoin to go up JUST as much as the next guy, I don't think collecting data is going to help in the least.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Crypto Judgement Day is Here on: July 19, 2018, 11:46:03 PM
Indians are eagerly waiting for today hearing as RBI is going to discuss the decision for the use of cryptocurrencies in india.
https://coingape.com/indian-crypto-judgement-day-what-will-be-verdict/

I doubt tomorrow we will have any final judgement on this matter. On the last hearing day dated 3rd July, court has asked to consolidate all other related cases and take those cases under same hearing. So I doubt we are going to get any final judgement tomorrow.

However, what we are looking for is an interim injunction on the circular issued by RBI. If that is given by court, the crypto community will have a temporary relief. Don't keep high hopes for tomorrow!

As per usual with government, they're just going to waste the taxpayer dollars (massive amounts of these) on hearing, after hearing, after hearing and have nothing come out of it at all. Not surprised in the least, but you would hope that at some point SOMETHING is actually decided. All the news is doing these days is making these bullshit hearings / meetings sound like actual legislative authority when they're all lies. This article is the same thing, and this topic has come up time and time again.....
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare mining is not giving payouts anymore? on: July 19, 2018, 01:37:30 PM
I invested 100$ in hashflare mining at the end of 2017. Soon after the bitcoin price started declining and is declining at the moment. In this situation hashflare has stopped giving payouts and says that the mining fees are higher than the payouts. Can anyone suggest what to do next? the following is exactly what they say.

"Dear users,
Because of the current market situation, with the latest spike of mining difficulty exceeding 14% (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty), while the price of Bitcoin continues to decline, the payout was lower than the maintenance fee, which resulted in the balance not increasing and remaining the same. We are considering all possible options, while taking into account the available resources, to optimize the mining process where it is possible."

I read the same on their officiap facebook. You can do nothing, just wait what they'll decide to do and fix situation. Usually that's strategy of genesis mining to close your contract because of mining difficulty reason. To my mind they aren't scammers but if they won't be able to continue profitable mining for investors, then they have to return some invested money and give 100% back of investment - currently profited to new customers and them, who hasn't ROI-ed yet.

Thing is they have no ability to try and 'fix the situation' the mining difficulty has increased and that's that. The only way this situation could be fixed is if the difficulty goes down a substantial amount, which I doubt is going to happen. This is the thing with cloud mining, the company is either going to stop paying you when its not profitable anymore for them to pay you (a legitimate company does this, as they're looking out for their bottom line) or a company scams you. Simple.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Senate Hearing on Cryptocurrency is LIVE now! on: July 19, 2018, 05:15:00 AM
Nothing will come out of this, a few people will take some quotes out of context to support bitcoin going to the moon and a couple other sites will use it as a way to (yet again take things out of context) and say that Bitcoin is dying. I understand that people think government comment is going to help, but I'd much rather Bitcoin be disregarded entirely then government saying GOOD thing about it. It's a LOT nicer to be off the radar for no reason then on the radar for a good reason. I'm right, right?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GRAYSCALE INVESTMENTS’ $250M RECORD SHOWS APPETITE FOR BITCOIN IS GROWING on: July 19, 2018, 05:04:56 AM
This is one of the reasons why bitcoin will never die.

it has nothing to do with believing, supporting, enthusiasts,...
it is always about usability of bitcoin and since bitcoin is actually used as a decentralized, boarder-less, permission-less, secure,.... currency it will remain alive and strong. otherwise those who invest and are interested in making profit will go away specially if there is a price drop.

This is something that people will never understand. Price will never be correlated to usability, it doesn't matter if more and more people are getting into Bitcoin means nothing relating to the price and people aren't going to care about it if they only care about what Bitcoin was meant to be -- a global currency. I'm not even going to touch on why this article is probably bullshit anyway, but people have to come to the conclusion that these investment people are looking out for themselves and aren't going to make you rich -- hate to break it to ya guys though.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: July 18, 2018, 08:35:16 PM
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?

Bounty programs today has a higher chance of being success because people are investing a huge amount due to the hype in the market and different positive speculations.

Eh -- I wouldn't go this far. I would say, without a doubt, that more and more people are investing into ICO's. But the success of these projects (measured by the succeeding of what was laid out in the white paper by the dev team) isn't high. Most of these coins are dying off in a couple months, prices of the coins are crashing, and I would think that people are slowly starting to understand that these coins are nothing more then a moneygrab at people who are greedy as well.
