561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when blocks are being full on: January 19, 2016, 11:00:44 AM
Recently the block is full of  spamming transactions (http://www.cointape.com/). This situation have been for a while . I thought it was a test, actually not. If you don't include more than minimum tx fees, you have to wait long to get your tx confirmed. At the moment we have no implementation of large blocks yet, so we have to pay extra tx fees to miners.

what if i told you it was mining pools doing the spamming.. filling up blocks to force people to pay them more...

At first people were saying it's good to include 0.0001 BTC with every transaction you send. Nowadays I see that the average transaction fee is rising and that people tend to add a fee higher than 0.0001 BTC because they want to see their transaction get confirmed. Pools are somewhat extorting the users in a soft way to get more fees. When will they get satisfied? When people pay 0.001 BTC?

In the end, the problem will sort itself out..

Once the blocks are full for a longer time, and the queues just keep on expanding, people will be forced to add higher and higher fees to get their blocks confirmed. In the end it won't be profitable to send small amounts of BTC using the blockchain, so the volume of microtransactions will drop, making the queues shorter and lowering the fees...
It'll always end in an equilibrium.

Like the OP said, the microtransactions will probably move to LTC, DOGE, DASH,... since their blocks won't be full, so their fees will be much lower.

I don't think there is a general rule...

If somebody defaults a loan, and i get stuck with the collateral, i usually start from here:
http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php

This price can be influenced by things like: positve/negative trust from trusted/untrusted members, language, postlenght, signed message,...
In the end, i'm always happy if i get bitcoinrates estimated price - 10%

Hi

thanks for the link

I have tested out this website before when it used to be free... i do find the prices that the website gives overpriced by a lot maybe 50% more than what the accounts are actually selling for.

Thanks for you opinion

Cheers
Daniel

They used to be overpriced, but the pricing has been adapted a couple of weeks ago, and it has significantly decreased...
It is true they're not free, but they ask about 40 cents (in bitcoin) for a lifetime key... It was one of the best investments i've ever made in the bitcoin world Wink

For example, my own account (altcoinhosting):

http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php?token=145319623083d4119955

Following bitcoinrates, my senior member account would be worth a little over 0.09, wich i think is a realistic price nowadays...
563  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitknock is a Scam on: January 19, 2016, 09:39:25 AM
Thank you for the warning... However, it would be nice if you followed the scam accusations template in the future... It makes things a little bit more readable for the rest of us Wink

for your reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Also, some proof (screenshots) would have been nice
564  Economy / Services / Re: coin washing service on: January 19, 2016, 09:26:08 AM
[reserved for positive/negative feedback of my service in the future]
565  Economy / Services / coin washing service on: January 19, 2016, 09:25:40 AM
Since i'm looking for ways to get some "intrest" on my dormant coins, and the lending section i used to use is now full of scammers, i'm offering a coin washing service...
So, basically, if you want to enhance your privacy by swapping coins that can be traced back to you for coins that cannot be traced back to you, PM me...

The service is completely custom, but i can do the following things:
  • let you chose how much coins you want to wash (no predefined number)
  • show you the exact inputs that will be used
  • use either a VPN or TOR to send you the coins (not that it enhances your own privacy tough)
  • you can pick the exact time on which i'll send the coins
  • i can exchange BTC to about any altcoin, or receive about any altcoin and exchange it to clean BTC (extra exchange fees do apply)
  • altough i'm a senior member with a little bit of untrusted positive feedback, and my account name can be coupled to a real world identity (since i've actually bought some goods with this account + i've clearly shown that i regged a couple of domains that can be coupled to this account), i do accept the use of an escrow service (only the big 5 tough)
  • i can change the miner fee to get the transaction confirmed fast/medium/slow
  • delete any PM's i get from you after the deal is done
  • ...

Since the service is completely custom, the fee is custom to (anywhere between 3% and 20%, depending on the options and the amount of washed coins you chose).
I do understand that there are many wonderfull services that also offer coin washing, the difference between them and me is that this service happens on-forum (with possible escrow) and is 100% customisable to your needs.
Currently only washing up to and including 0.5BTC

PM if you're interested!
566  Economy / Services / Re: Selling my account sig x message space and avatar on: January 18, 2016, 12:41:24 PM
I guess your best chance will be a sig campaign that allows users with a negative trust rating...

There used to be 1 or 2 that didn't care about the trust rating.

you can try virwox.com,

Very high fees and long withdrawal delays (the first time), but you will end up with some BTC for your PP.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cpu Mining profitable? on: January 15, 2016, 09:16:54 AM
Is that so, so energy and hardware cost kills the profit of litecoin.

In my opinion, yes, mining LTC with your CPU has a negative profit (you lose money the more you mine).
I think you basically need free electricity and free second hand PC's to turn a profit with CPU mining LTC.

Some other coins might be profitable to mine with your PCU if your power is really cheap, and your hardware is cheap to....
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cpu Mining profitable? on: January 15, 2016, 09:08:19 AM
Hi,

This is my first time taking interest on mining altcoins, is it possible to mine altcoins using just CPU or is it more GPU Extensive?

Any thoughts on CPU Mining for litecoin

I have tried this... there was no profit to be made. Offcourse, some altcoins are good for cpu mining (i preferred mining magicoin), but in the end the power cost/drain on my pc made the whole endavour unprofitable.

The diff for LTC is so high you basically need an asic to mine it... maybe a good GPU might work, but i doubt it.
571  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS in EU] 49 x S3/S3+ miners >> Promotion! << on: January 14, 2016, 09:14:23 AM
I'm interested in buying 3 S3/S3+'s (since i can underclock them a little bit, and run them with 1 corsair 1200 W PSU), but i cannot bid 100€ + 30€ shipping for a unit without PSU.

I know the offer i'm going to make is low, i'm certainly not trying to offend you... But here is my calculation for the maximum i'd be willing to pay.

I visited coinwarz calculator, and with my Kwu price (which will rise in the future), the current diff (which will rise), the current BTC price (not guaranteed to go up) and the current block reward (which will halve in 185 days), i would currently make about 0.75€/day profit with 3 S3's.

The block halving is in 185 days, so if i mine untill then, i make 138€. I guesstimate i can resell 3 S3's for about maximum 200€ by then (since the amount of hashrate from the S7 will surely have pushed the diff even higher by then, the price of an S3 will certainly drop).
3 S3's will give me a total of 340€ profit (140€ mining, 200€ reselling)... Substract 140€ for a decent second hand PSU, giving 200€ profit...

So, i know it's a low offer, but my maximum offer would be 0.5BTC (200€) for 3 S3's, shipping and handling included. I could bump it up to 0.69 if you included a decent PSU so i didn't have to scout the forum, alixpress or ebay for a decent PSU myself

once again, i know the offer is low... I'm not trying to offend you... I totally understand if you would decline my offer.. I know the S3 will have a much better ROI for somebody with a better electricity price, or for an optimist who estimates the BTC price will rise in the future... But in my situation, realisticly, this is all i can offer.
572  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend me .50 cents? on: January 12, 2016, 06:56:05 AM
Jesus MFC, just use your fucking head and use a faucet to get $0.50 instead of asking for a no-collateral loan.  You just risked your reputation on this forum for pocket change, you numbskull.

Which reputation? He made 3 posts with this account... If he would succeed in scamming for 50 cents with an investment of 3 posts, it would beat signature payments for his rank Wink
573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anonimity or not? on: January 11, 2016, 09:35:27 AM
no, the ip address of the pc that was used to create a transaction can not be seen directly... Blockchain shows the first node that relayed the transaction.
On the other hand, sent bitcoins can be tracked, so they're not completely anonymous
574  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend me .50 cents? on: January 11, 2016, 09:25:49 AM
There used to be a guy scamming for even smaller amounts of bitcoin on this forum...

Usually, the rule "no intrest, no loan" is applied... Especially in cases where a newbie account is asking for the loan.

Do you have a more trusted account on this forum?

Might be a good idear to remove those pictures, and take some pics without your real name... Just in case somebody ever wants to dox you.
577  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 6 *Avalon 6 miners for sale on: January 05, 2016, 12:22:50 PM
I'd love an avalon 6, but being from your country, i just cannot spend $1800 for an ASIC since with our KWu-price it would take way to long to ROI (plus, my wife would kill me if i'd spend $1800 on HW).

Any chance you have some "older" equipment for sale? I just ask because i know a lot of miners have a couple brands and types of ASIC's in their stable... Smiley

Are you C++ coders, python, java,...?
580  Economy / Reputation / Re: Satashito - WOW WHAT SPAM!!! on: December 21, 2015, 07:21:16 AM
There was an older thread discussing this matter... I think a couple of people have already PM'ed Theymos (other people than the ones in this thread), but it seems he's a little busy recently.
I do hope he gets kicked, cause i don't like that red mark on my account, especially since i always try to make clean deals and try to be reasonable when talking to somebody.

Sure, it doesn't mean anything, but i know from experience that people do look at red feedback subconsciously. If they have to chose between two equal business partners, but one of them has red untrusted feedback, this partner has less change of being chosen.
Even I take untrusted feeback into account when taking an account as collateral for a loan.
