So... You're doubling a 100k dollar investment in 4 months? Let's make a quick math... 200k in 4months, would turn to 400k in another 4 months. Which would make the yearly output 800k?
Call me skeptic but this sounds way too good to be true, taking this as a scam until further explanation is given...

Read their whitepaper!
Yeah. That simple. You look at how unique their project is and how the community would benefit from it. Then next is the team behind it which is really important if they're legit or not. And you can add a little bit of extra research about it. This is very true! The whitepaper determines how serious the crypto project is. It explains the technology and tells the purpose of the coin. It tells about the asset. Check also the community, because it is a crucial indicator of the coin's potential. Although you're right, most scam icos can now imitate a good whitepaper... I am constantly thinking about some ways to automatically moderate these icos but so far, nothing comes up. People should read about these topics and see the scams themselves... We can't help it but see the scammers walk away with the money they gathered most of the time

It's not gonna end, no one has the power to do it right now. In the future, a better, newer cryptocurrency may take its place but that's not going to happen anytime soon either. The only way to stop it from moving forward is to cut down internet... Who would seriously consider doing this?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always be careful of airdrop tokens
|
on: March 20, 2018, 03:57:36 PM

Although you're right about weeding out the bad ones, I can not agree with you completely. Mostly tokens with airdrops aren't worthy, you're right but putting a red flag on a project just because it has an airdrop is not fair. Airdrop is an easy and cheap way to create a userbase for your token and there are also many good projects with airdrops, a recent example would be Havven, now, would you take Havven as a bad project? I wouldn't, and just because they have an airdrop, I'm not gonna think different about them...

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear?
|
on: March 18, 2018, 12:46:24 AM

You're looking at it with wrong perspective. Cryptocurrencies won't make "real money" disappear. Cryptocurrencies will change become "real money".
I mean our economic system and money is outdated, slow and expensive. Whereas cryptocurrencies offer fast and costless transactions globally. Making someting "global" is the first step of making it "universal".
If you think this world is the only one the mankind will live in, you gotta read more about our species. We're evolving to make interstellar travels and we'll colonize many worlds. The system we're calling cryptocurrency today is the only applicable system for an interplanetary species. Physical money isn't effective beyond the borders of a nation.
Money will never disappear and cryptocurrencies are just the future happening now.

Governments and banks want different blockchains. Blockchains that'd make Orwell cry in a corner. Sure we'll get government issues cryptocurrencies: CRYPTOFIAT. All your transactions will be traced, monitored and taxed automatically.
Of course, they'll make exceptions for certain individuals...
Man... That is one dark idea... Hope that it never comes to this. What would we do if things come to this? This is why everybody should abandon Ripple, they are taking banks in to cryptocurrencies and introduing them the blockchain technology. If things will become like this, Ripple will be responsible.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Day trader or Hodler, what's the right choice? (in bear market)

Whatever floats my boat, I go along. I think everybody here is doing pretty much the same. If you're in rypto business full-time, you'll see that there are many different circumstances and each of them require their own plan. Though, crypto market is changing not by hours but by minutes and if you can get in a "wave" you might take huge profits by day trading, whereas hodling gives you some stable profit, not much but stable.

Honestly, like some here, I think holding isn't much effective in cryptocurrencies. The chart moves by hours, even minutes. Holding some promising coins only gives you some profit. On the other hand, acttively trading, or so they say, day trading, is much more effective. Yes, there is a much bigger risk in day trading but also a promise of much bigger profits.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project?
|
on: March 18, 2018, 12:16:51 AM
|
Not necessarily but always makes a positive impact in ICO phase. Having a working product indicates that the team already is working on their project and usually, projects with a working product has a more realistic and applicable roadmap, which is necessarry to pull in investors. Though even UET pulled in investors so...
So yeah, in short, havin a working product is important but not necessary.

Hello guys... the development of the era, the more advanced technology and now ico many scam, I am here want to ask how to choose ico how? please enlighten the teachers here I need a lot of guidance The profile of the team is one of the thing you need to consider, some developer do hide their identity.... Check medichain, its a good project by great developer Like this guy said and, to no surprise, I would suggest checking out Thrive. It's a solid project with a good team. There are many, MANY good projects. Use the insights given here, it'll mostly lead you to good but remember, this is a new market full of volatility and no one can give you guaranteed profits. If someone is guaranteeing profit, it's most likely a scam, stay away for your own good.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of my friends still think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi

Dear all,
I just heard some of my friends chatting in a gathering and they think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi. I just give them a smile and wish they will educate themselves a bit.
So, I would like you to give me some suggestions, how I can give them some hints with soft words which can change their mind or at least give them some more space to think twice?
Get some new friends. Jokes aside, if they think like that there isn't much you can do to change their mind. At least there isn't a short & easy way. You gotta take their attention with some quick words and keep their attention at you for some time. Start by failed ICOs, if you start talking with them pretending to be on their side you'll get their attention much easier. After that talk about bitcoin millionares over a day and tell them about the million dollar pizza. Recently I got the idea about those cryptocurrencies like this is Californian Gold Rush. And failed ICOs are the Fools Gold. Keep the topic intrguing and don't stop talking until they understand the goods and bads of the crypto market.

Sorry for you dude. No matter how much you lost, it is always sad. But whenever you feel sad about losing your private key, hence losing your holdings, remember that Satoshi Nakamoto himself lost private keys to a total of 1,000,000 BTC.

This is one of the most elaborate FUD I ever saw. You seriously took time to write copy/paste all this to what reason? You certainly aren't a coin holder, not an investor. Looking at your rank, you're not a bounty hunter either. So... Please do tell me, what do you gain from this post? Is your time this worthless? Worthless enough to spread FUD in here?
Do yourself a favor mate. Get the bleep out of here and save yourself from this crashing(!) market. Thank you for the heads up but we're happy where we are.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your bitcoin online wallet from hackers
|
on: March 12, 2018, 05:32:56 PM

For online wallets, no matter what you do you won't be safe enough compared to other wallet types. Online wallets might do the trick for you if you are a beginner. But as you keep moving forward you'll need safer options. Hardware Wallets at this point offer you the best privacy but also it's not very practical compared to browser & software wallets. I prefer software wallets as I trust the security of my computer. I would suggest building up the security in your system and setting up a software wallet after ensuring security.
