421  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 29, 2015, 07:33:30 PM
still no word on the prices?

nope not yet. All silent on the front

Looks to me like Bitmain reduced to some extent the top possible price, since they lowered the price of Batch 2 & 3 of the S7. Spondoolies would seem to have less room to maneuver now in terms of price (IMHO).

Yeah, but the S7 is still too expensive for a used & dusty miner.

LULZ @ antpool.

P2pool is waiting for you.

No adds. (in any language)
No centralization.
Pays virgin BTC immediately a block is found.
Contributes to the BTC network.

mining pool up for you: http://superninjapool.tk/

something funky with the code and auxpow, so it's being taking off the pool. no miners anyway.

Auxpow is working fine with p2pool.... Wink
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [I0C] I0coin - The Best Choice In Digital Currency on: September 29, 2015, 09:47:03 AM

Edit: What happened to all the posts/rants?

I got confirmation from a few reputable posters that they were able to get their i0Coins off Vicurex without issues.  Hundreds of thousands of i0Coins with only a few being stuck there.

Without any other individuals coming forward I concluded that the guy who said his coins were stolen or stuck on there was most likely either a small amount or an isolated event.

That said, I felt it was best to delete my posts since they were overly aggressive and provocative.

Cheers!

Edit: What happened to all the posts/rants?

Work is still progressing.  domob is setting up a DNS seed node.  We should see a much more robust i0coin network once our updates are done and miners upgrade.

I meant from vlad - he posted several rants about i0coin getting shafted & how he was gonna take it over - but now they're gone  Huh

Wohooooo my node is live haven't connected a miner to it yet but its live Big thanks to p3yot33at3r for all the help

If you want to connect then its
62.75.188.90:9332

I will be attaching my domain at some point soon

I can see it's working on the IP you posted, well done!

Glad you got it up & running - welcome to p2pool!  Smiley
428  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: September 28, 2015, 11:50:49 AM

That indicates 7667 seconds used by the poll() function inside twisted, of about 9606 seconds total for the whole program.

I take it you mean milliseconds?

Most of what you say goes straight over my head I'm afraid - far beyond my pay grade  Wink Have you tried contacting forrestv at all?
429  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: September 28, 2015, 11:07:45 AM

Anyway, your "answer" doesn't appear to be valid.  I also get those error messages when the miner attempts to connect.

Thanks for the time.

What credentials are you using on your miner?
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: September 28, 2015, 10:41:09 AM
If I have this wrong, you can teach me how to find the data you seek.

One peer connected at present  '127.0.01' ??

Type in console:

Code:
getpeerinfo

127.0.01 is yourself......

EDIT: Had to remove Prototanium from my p2pool node due to lack of nodes, so no longer mining it. Shame.  Sad

Any more merge mine pools? Would be nice to keep a list.

Working fine with p2pool - I'm sure there are many nodes now merge mining MYR  Smiley
432  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: September 28, 2015, 12:15:43 AM
Both of the two p2pool blocks found yesterday were mined at our node. We've been getting a few people renting hashrate and pointing it at our node or a couple of other nodes that run on BitcoinXT. Yesterday, we had someone point about 2.5 PH/s at our node for a few hours. That miner found one of the blocks.

Speaking of > 2 PH/s on a single node, is anybody working on (or interested in collaborating on) performance enhancements for p2pool? I'm seeing a lot of load spikes up to 100% CPU cure utilization for up to a few seconds by the p2pool process, and switching to pypy doesn't solve the issue. Right now I'm using python -m cProfile -o cprofile-001.log run_p2pool.py to collect and analyze data on what functions in p2pool are hosing my CPU.

I've never seen cpu usage go higher than a 35% spike running p2pool, it usually sits around 8% - & that's merge mining 12 other alts. Maybe using XT is the problem?  Cheesy

What OS are you using for your nodes?

I think the biggest performance improvement could be achieved by using C instead of python, but this has been discussed many times previously in this thread to no avail. I never could get pypy to work with p2pool, could you describe how you installed/ran it - I'd like to have another go  Wink

Beware my naivete, P3. I'm a real krypto klutz:

I run over 20 different crypto wallets on both doze & NIX, all compiled from source & all sync'd up apart from my 2 PRO wallets.

dawn Western Australia: my Proto wallet seems to be synched. Says two active peers.

Can you share the peer addresses please?  Smiley
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [I0C] I0coin - The Best Choice In Digital Currency on: September 27, 2015, 06:20:21 PM
I didn't comment cos I didn't lose anything - still got mine & still mining it  Wink

good to hear

were you able to withdraw i0c from exchange?

I never keep any coins on any exchanges - it's just too risky. I'll load them up if I'm looking to make a buy/sell & if for any reason it doesn't happen I'll withdraw them immediately. It might not be the most convenient method, but it's defo the safest  Wink

Nice to see some blocks rolling in again - makes up for the baron spell earlier. I'm seeing some big spikes in hash rate lately, up to 5Ph+ - hopefully a big player will be joining us soon  Grin

Anyone got some Prototanium nodes? I can't sync my wallets....... Sad

178.62.175.110:65525

Direct Link: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/BlockExplorer?coin=PR

Thanks, but I already have that in my nodes list. I also tried the "connect=" option - no joy.....port is open & firewall is configured also, I even disabled the firewall temporarily to see if I could connect - nothing...... Sad

Edit: I'm pretty sure cryptopia aren't accepting any connections, it's only showing 1 connection, & judging by the amount of people telling me to connect to it, it should be showing a lot more than that.

Does anyone have a sync'd PRO wallet?
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Prototanium otc Exchange on: September 27, 2015, 01:51:33 PM
IP is correct.

It's proto.uno

Could you check, if your port is free?

Yeah, port is free & allowed in firewall. I've even tried the "connect=178.62.175.110:65525" as well as the "addnode" option in the conf file - still can't sync either of my wallets.....very strange  Sad
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Prototanium otc Exchange on: September 27, 2015, 12:56:08 PM

Now, if only my wallet would sync - anyone got any addnodes?  Wink

Try this:

178.62.175.110:65525

Seems to be the only one. Let's install some more nodes!

Thanks, but I still can't get it sync'd - any more for any more?  Grin
