Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How do i use PPS and 1 GH/s to determine ⊅BTC earned?

I asked the question, not to figure out how much I could make, which is the machines potential, but learn how much a pool is paying out at the time the calculation is done. A way to compare pools without having to go mine with them, as long as they make valid information available. There can be a 10-15% difference between better paying pools and lower paying pools. If you didn't know this you might think you need to tweak your hardware more.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Root Access Vulnerability in Linux kernels 2.6.39: Some Distros Patched
|
on: May 03, 2012, 11:08:27 AM
|
Canonical, Red Hat, and Arch Linux have released patches that fix a vulnerability in Linux kernels 2.6.39 and above that enable attackers to gain system root access. The distro patches followed a kernel patch to fix the vulnerability, but proof-of-concept exploit code examples have already been posted.
A kernel patch submitted on Jan. 17 by Linux overseer Linus Torvalds designed to repair a privilege escalation vulnerability quickly spawned the publication of proof-of-concept exploit code. The patch was publicized before Linux distro projects had time to apply their own patches -- leaving any distro with Linux kernels 2.6.39 and above vulnerable to root access exploits. Since then, Canonical (Ubuntu), Red Hat, and the Arch Linux team moved quickly to release their respective distro patches to address the problem, but other distros remain vulnerable. http://www.desktoplinux.com/news/NS7878870944.html

Dude, your a mind reader. I've got an in with BabyFace (Kenneth Edmonds), though no guarantees. Bitcoin is in need of image awareness where an up and coming or existing artist could create some decent hype or buzz for the Bitcoin community. Needed: 1 ounce Gold Bitcoin Round fashioned into an awesome necklace traded to the artist for their emphasizing it in photo shoots and outings. Bitcoin Magazine could point out the fact that such and such star is into Bitcoin bling.
Maybe start a bounty goal to get this fashioned.

You should be concerned about purchasing Amazon cards second hand. It's probable these are proceeds being laundered from thefts, Bitcoin or otherwise. If it is from Bitcoin thefts, this is the only way for them to break the identified nature of the digital currency.

Proof that Jesus lived, died and was resurrected exists via the Garden Tomb and Golgotha. Roman inscriptions in a cave ,dated to the 1st century, mocking Jesus on the cross by showing him having a horse head.
Garden tomb... just no The Garden Tomb and surrounding area matches 99.99% of the text description in the New Testament as to the location of crucifiction and burial of Jesus the Christ. To review the evidence supporting this, see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYIwjYN4JVo

Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool average weekly hashrates
|
on: May 02, 2012, 11:04:32 AM
|
But isn't the pool hashrate estimated based on the number of shares? Couldn't the pool misrepresent the number of shares? Or the payout per block? Or etc, etc, etc?
I think there's a lot of wiggle room for pools to potentially skim or scrap coins off the top without anyone noticing. That's why I'd be interested in a direct comparison on the same hardware between 10 of the most popular pools.
I expect the hashes per second displayed by a pool to be honest numbers. If a pool advertises 500 GH/s, I would expect 500 * 1 GH/s rigs are mining at that pool, for example. Calculating hashing power any other way is deceptive because the value is altered to appear other than it is.

The Constitution provided the legal right for all American Citizens to own gun/s to aid in the defense of the nation, everyone a gun, everyone a defender of the Republic. Lyndon B. Johnson and the House and Senate Judiciary Committees on October 22, 1968 were the first to screw over Americans Constitutional rights by limiting 'everyone'. Hind sight is 20/20.

Proof for the existence of Muhammad is available from the Orthodox Church he took refuge in when the Arabs tried to kill him at the beginning of his ministry.
Personally, I believe that Muhammad was possessed by an evil spirit during his meditation while in a cave. You can tell a tree by it's fruit.
so all Muslims are posses by evil spirit ? You obviously don't understand how possession works. Invalid logic is not valid.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funds “frozen” in TyGrr-Bot’s MtGox account.
|
on: May 01, 2012, 10:11:52 PM
|
The facts:
3. Identity 1 attempted to transfer funds to identity 2's account 4. Then and only then did Mt. Gox react to a potential illegal action 2. Mt. Gox allowed and instructed identity 2 to setup and then assisted to get AML approval 1. Chang-noi was attempting to link 2 identities to one account and contacted Mt. Gox support via IRC for how to proceed
While much can be assumed as to why Mt. Gox and Tygrr allowed the situation to escalate to an account achieving frozen status, it is clear from what the OP posted, Mt. Gox and Tygrr failed to ask proper follow up questions during the initial support incident. Had Mt. Gox and Tygrr asked a few more questions they could have prevented any interruption in service. Mt. Gox and Tygrr failed to act responsibly early on and had allowed a situation to escalate until frozen funds were the result. Mt. Gox and Tygrr had a mental pause moment and they should work to restore the account to the previous conditions before the incident.
Both parties are guilty of acting irresponsibly carrying out business transactions in a manner that is uncommon to standard business practices employed by the majority of legitimate businesses acting responsibly.
FTFY You mock me sir. You have added distortion to my post. I demand you remove the space below 'The facts:' to maintain my formatting!
