681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Found? on: March 08, 2012, 08:47:50 PM
Since Donal O'Mahony has been active and publishing his digital currency ideas why would he and his group in 2008 publish anonymously another version?
PayMe's success left him unsatisfied?

Bitcoins were most likely somewhat based on his work but I wouldn't be willing to say he or his group are Satoshi Nakamoto.
Has he been interviewed for his view on Bitcoins, its strengths and weaknesses?

Hm, just wanted to put this out there and see what are your opinions.

From what I've learned the US and the coallition forces are trying to eradicate Al-Qaeda
What do you think ?
Option #1
Easist way to get rid of Al-qaeda, DBAN. Then, even Photorec can't recover The Database.

Option #2
Erase all past and present CIA agents, since they created The Database.

If neither of those are feasible, pray that Haman is not put in charge of the world.

This is just a diversion.

There is a thread or two around here on the MSI Afterburner stuff.

I don't know if you have a watt meter yet, but I came across this:

Basic kWh Meter 100A 120/240-volt, 3-wire, 60Hz EKM-25IDS - EKM Metering
$90

If the amperage is a concern they offer a universal design single phase/3 phase with a 5000A rating for $160

Hey nice find.  I have been looking for a hardwired meter which can do logging on 240V split phase (US) circuits.  Most tend to run $300 to $400 or more.

I thought you might be interested and rjk would as well, so killed 2 birds with one post. Smiley
Anyway you started it with the AP9571, I was looking for a way to monitor the wattage when this popped up.

Is replying to everyones post part of the secret sauce? That appears to be one Mathew Method.
What ever your doing, it's working.

10 GPM and the windshield gets hot. LOL.
Was this guy ever an engineer for the Airforce? Willing to strap a jet engine onto anything to see how fast it can fly. Cheesy

The ad idea would work. Coca-cola does it, why not Bitcoin.

Thanks BadBear. I've used DailyBitcoins so should get into the blockchain shortly.

Remote Viewing was not only funded by the Goverment, it was done at a premiere institution, Stanford, through their organization, Stanford Research Institute. Major Ed Dames claims he has Remote Viewed God and Satan. According to Mj. Dames, "Satan is real, a being of light. God is very dispersed."
I listened to too much Coast to Coast AM, which Mj. Dames was a frequent guest on.

I successfully got vanitygen working and produced a hash but it seems there is a message in the hash as well.

Creepy or what?

Holy Shit! Did you just discover the Bitcoin Address Code?

Yes. Just learning my way around. I exited out of DM and in a CP ran vanitygen and left the house for the day, came back to what you see.
I haven't yet sent money to get it into the blockchain though. I've already used the Faucet so will need to find another method.
692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Press Release - TradeHill, Inc. Files Suit Against Dwolla, Inc. on: March 08, 2012, 04:36:41 PM
Why didn't Dwolla go to Tradehill right when they realized they had incurred losses that would directly affect Tradehill and work out some arrangement?
If a company is a significant portion of your business and you throw them under the bus to save your own assets what does that say about you?

It should have never reached this point. Tradehill would still be around if Dwolla approached them early and we would've been less aware of how incompetent Dwolla really is.
693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinExchanger is a scammer, stole Bitcoinica's coins, lied about contact info on: March 08, 2012, 02:51:35 PM
Uncle Jacks location has more than one floor. It's possible to be a correct address but lacking the suite/apt address (2B or 3A).

The gentleman claimed to be named Leo, but has now been proven that he's has also gone by the name Alfredo.
Leo may have been an attempt to link the term Law Enforcement Officer with the name.

Don't get me wrong, I am not for a second even suggesting the coinexchange guy is anything but dubious. He seems indeed beyond dubious to me and I'd  consider touching his pole. However, let's not start fighting crazy with crazy just yet.
You'd touch what?  Shocked Grin
694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will transactions be validated when blocks are no longer produced? on: March 07, 2012, 09:20:28 PM
True, but I was hoping that by then we'll be forced to go down to 1E-12 or so just because a satoshi will be worth too much  Grin

Well even then there is a deadline it just gets pushed back every time the discrete unit is made smaller.

Still global money supply is ~$60T.  If the entire world adopted Bitcoin for all transactions displacing all other forms of money 1 Bitcoin would be $60T / 21M = ~$3 million ea.  1 Satoshi would then be ~ 3 cents.  Unlikely we will ever need more than 8 decimal places unless a significant number of them were lost.
You guys are working on the theory in my sig. sweet.

@DeathAndTaxes
How did you arrive at your 60T number?
I went with Wiki answers. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_total_amount_of_money_in_the_world
Everyone else seems to not answer this question.

I think it would be over 60T with just US, UK, EU, China, Russia, Japan and California. Grin

Won't the future blockchain bandwidth issue be solved with Internet2? 100Gbits
Also, I'll be able to store the terrabytes of blockchain on my 2 petabyte MicroSD card.

[PA]You know, Bitcointalk is not Twitter, so please stop using shortened addresses that hide the real addresses.

It has been the goal of the extremely wealthy to have a true global currency since at least the early 1900's, unfortunately that hasn't been possible until more recent times. Bitcoin might be that vehicle, at least for the digital world for now, but eventually it may become a true global currency.

Fascinating fact: A Rockefeller consulted a well known psychic on instituting a global currency in the 30's but was told it would not be possible until at least 1994.

You want to implement something like this, but without the secure switch and additional physical servers?
