Only VIP members (50 btc), Donators (10 btc), Global moderators, and admins can display custom titles.
That's not quite true. VIPs, global mods and admins can set/change their own custom titles, but everyone can display one (eg get one assigned to them by theymos). An example for that would be Blazed, who's neither VIP nor involved with moderation, but holds the custom title "Casascius Addict". Custom titles are also given when theymos does name changes, eg for BitcoinPenny (formerly CJBianco), who carries their old name as custom title "aka CJBianco". tl;dr: Everyone can have a custom title, not everyone can set one for themselves.
Hilarious' "Lamborghini Member" and mprep's "Diamond Member" is poking fun at the Copper Member rank that was introduced a while back. As you can see, custom titles show at the same place as the "Copper Member" text when people are posting (not on a users profile). I would assume rickbig's "I'm not a member" is meant in a similar way.

The domain is registered through namecheap.com
I've submitted a Domain abuse complaint with namecheap earlier anyway. Previously done so with Giveawayethereum.win and it was handled quickly, though that was a more clearly cut case, as they were hosting an illegal ponzi scheme. We'll see how/if they handle this case.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Block producer of EOS can freeze anyone's account

Ethereum is devoid of these disadvantages!
It takes 3 persons to effectively freeze your ETH balance, as Ethermine, f2pool and Sparkpool have a majority right now (over 51% of the blocks in the last 24 hours). Thatīs the problem with EOS, there is no real gain for small owners since it is all centralised and the chain is not really safe in computing terms.
What's your opinion of NEO?

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WON 2000+ LTC on Fortunejack - Withdrawals being delayed, FJ stalling.

I was actually going to come up with the OP not giving any proof at all with his claims, but this Lutpin post is actually enough proof for me. I have always placed FJ as one of the top platforms in the online gambling platform industry and thinking of considering even trying them out lately, but I guess this is not good for any platform that wants to stay reputable and would rather stick with cryptogames instead. Honestly, it is absurd to get to see things like this happen, and a total B.S on their part. Why should it ever take them so much time to process a withdrawal for heaven sake as that is extremely shady?
To be fair, it seems my post was reflecting FJ in a way worse than they do deserve. While those delays have happened in the past, they have been on the ball with this situation, yes, they needed a few days, and a part might still be unprocessed, but nowhere near months. Hopefully for everyone playing at FJ delays like the ones I have quoted are something of the past now and all current withdrawals are getting processed in a timeframe like this one. It is kinda unfair to hold old cases against them when they pledged to improve themselves and seemingly have done so.

It's only possible if you pay 50BTC to become a VIP member.
That's not quite true, theymos also does manual name changes, though you are very unlikely to get one. It's mainly if a company rebrands (for their forum rep account), or for high ranking/long standing users of the community. The chances for a newbie or junior member getting one approved are infinitesimal small. Which brings us back to: So, just give up or create a new account.

To be fair, any combination of bitcoin mining pools with a hashrate of 51% and higher (which means currently a minimum of 3 pool operators) could be doing the same for your bitcoin address. The block producers choose which transactions to include in their blocks, and bitcoin block producers (miners) could likewise exclude certain addresses from getting their transactions included in blocks, thus effectively "freezing" funds in one address.
This might be included in EOS as a "feature", but EOS isn't the only network where something like this is possible. The problem isn't that it's integrated as feature, however the way this is used could become a problem. If it ends being problematic only the future can tell, should the power be abused, and the community not react in an appropriate way to that.
What I'd see as a way bigger problem is Article XV of the constitution, giving the network the right to confiscate funds from "dormant" accounts and redistribute balances.

Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wapinter related with Scam? Why he repeat to promote ICO with fake team ?
|
on: June 21, 2018, 05:58:35 PM

You and your friends have dirt on your hands too, I could dig deeper but no need.
I'm sorry, is this the best "dirt" you could find on me? A campaign where I did everything I could to secure a BTC payment for participants, since the ASC they were supposed to get was going to be worthless due to the screwup by the ASC team. I did my part there. I promptly joined the discussion with the escrow team and coordinated further steps with them. Not for myself, but for the people I had enrolled. Investors? Covered and fully repaid by the escrow team. Signature Campaign Participants? Compensated in BTC, which they were all happy to accept and not one of them complained about. To sum it up in one sentence: No one, apart from one of the scammers, lost money from that scam.
Now do we see Wapinter out there busting his ass, trying to get a payment for the participants of his latest campaigns? Will those be covered, will the participants be paid in any way?

Your account still is wearing a signature, so it's not permanently banned. Given the recent password reset and email change, together with the feedback by numanoid, I assume it's been hacked and has been locked as a security precaution. If the hacker changed the email, however, you will have to restore access via Cyrus or theymos, and with a signed message, as you are already attempting. I keep to PM Cyrus every day So I a bit worries whether Cyrus or theymos can disable message from newbie or I wrong if I'm bump PM every day?
Theymos and Cyrus have not blocked PMs from newbies (or from you), if they would have, you would get an error message when attempting to send them one. However, sending Cyrus daily PMs is a bit over the top. Sending a signed message to recover your account once, and then resending it a bit later (maybe two weeks later) is sufficient, you do not have to bomb them with daily PMs, they get enough messages as it is. Send one PM to Cyrus. If Cyrus doesn't respond after two weeks, you can try sending a PM to me instead.
Keywords there being one PM and two weeks.
