I really don't agree with this suggestion. You are suggesting that teams such as Nepal and Namibia should pack their squads with foreigners from India and Pakistan and that will help them to win matches. But what is the point, if all the teams do that? There will be no diversity in cricket and it will become a game solely played by people of South Asian origin. Already the impact is being felt in countries such as Danmark and Netherlands. Previously these teams used to be comprised of mainly native players. But now the national team is mostly South Asian and as a result native children are rapidly losing their interest in the sport. In the long term, inclusion of foreign players do more harm than good. I actually think every team should get rid of foreign players. Because there is no point playing with foreign players on the team. After all, that is not going to increase the popularity/value/skill set of the team. So there is actually no reason for 14 players to be playing in the national team. |

Ok , after last night , I do hate Irving and this guy has managed to broke Mavs team in just a few games after his arrival. He has no passion to play basket anymore and even if he had , the way he thinks about life in general , won't be any help for his teammates or the team that is playing on.
I so upset on this guy to simply destroying a season of Mavs and man , I do hope they will trade him tonight or simply make him a free agent and leave Dallas tonight man as no one wants him there anymore. My boy Luka has such a great season and a hard working one just for a guy like Irving to come and tell them stories about flat earth society and what other crap he thinks about.
I understand the frustration bro. As a Mavericks fan, or should I say a Luka Doncic fan I am also frustrated about how things ended up in this season. I was very hopeful they will be in a safe spot in the Western Conference and would battle the Warriors again in the first round or end up in the Conference Finals but it had been a rough road for Luka especially when the trade happened. Brunson, Finney-Smith, and Dinwiddie, these guys are what made Luka better because they are real roleplayers that are surrounding the star to look pretty. Now, I don't see that anymore. No great smiles from Luka even if they are losing as long as it ended with a competitive game. He doesn't enjoy the game anymore which makes it sad. Mavs will be better, but I doubt that Irving will be the one to make it happen. The performance of the Mavs was certainly not good in the last game. And of course, it is very frustrating for the fans to see that the team is basically getting destroyed in real time by only one player. The team should realize that Kyrie Irving might perform well. However, he is not a very good influence on the team, the team also should realize that. |

Call me a dreamer but I see this going well for Frank Lampard, I love his new mentality, he wants to win something or get Chelsea to a position that whoever takes over will be in a good position to carry the club forward. Lampard qualifying Chelsea for the 2021 champions league season and assembling all the players that played as a team to win us that title under a new manager was the best gift he gave to Chelsea and I see him doing it again. The last time he took the managerial job, he was too young and inexperienced but now he has matured as a coach and if he was to get us into the top 4 or even 5th and also win us the champions league, I won't mind giving him another shot.
Frank Lampard has a mentality of a winner and he can transfer that to the team. Also we might be seeing the best of Mason Mount and then maybe he finally signs the contract and give Chelsea his best years as a footballer. We all know Mason Mount respect Frank Lampard and if he gets an assurance of Frank Lampard getting the managerial job, maybe he'll change his mind of not living the club knowing he has assurance of if starting under Frank Lampard. Also maybe this is just a perfect way to finally say goodbye to Frank Lampard since he didn't get a befitting fair well as a player or manager.
If I still recall very well, you were very positive about him managing Chelsea when he was first appointed. Let's hope he doesn't disappoint you. As for me, All coaches originating from England are pretty bang average, and I see things not going well with Chelsea in the long run. Lamps was a good player, but I don't think he will achieve a lot in his managerial career. Let wait and see how the next few games will go for him and Chelsea. Frank Lampard was certainly a very good player. There is no doubt about that. But to be the manager of a very respectable "S" tier team, I believe it will take him a lot more experience as a manager, to actually be successful. You know, He has certainly disappointed as a coach before. But probably now he will know better, probably now he will know something that he did not know before. Lazio vs Juventus will be a tight match. Both teams perform very well currently. Although Lazio is in 2nd place, I don't think that Lazio is better than Juventus. Juventus is just unlucky because he got a problem, so they lose many points. But if we consider the squad quality, I think Juventus squad is much better than Lazio squad. Also at this stage I too expect UAE to win, but I hope that they don’t play in overconfidence and end up suffering an loss which could harm their chances of qualifying.
The other results didn't went their way, and as a result United Arab Emirates and United States of America have qualified for the next round. Namibia is one of the strongest associate sides, and I feel bad for them that they couldn't qualify. They have a 100% native squad, when compared to both the USA and UAE, whose squads are almost 100% non-citizen. Anyway, for Namibia there is no excuse for losing matches against teams like United States and the United Arab Emirates. They managed to win only 3 out of 5 matches. Understandable. However, I feel that T-10 format could attract a bigger audience primarily due to the length of the games. Many people don't even have time to fully watch T-20 games from start to finish which is where the T-10 format comes into the picture.
It would definitely feel unfair at first, but I am confident that viewers would get used to it pretty quickly.
In the end, the viewers will get whatever they want. Even for the T10 format, the total duration (90-100 minutes) is slightly longer than a standard football match or a game of field hockey. In the future, T10 may become the preferred format and T20 may face the same fate as that of test cricket and ODI. Nowadays viewers want maximum action within a short duration, and T10 is very much suited for that purpose. And who knows? It may make cricket more popular in markets such as USA and Japan, where baseball is dominant. I also agree that if they bring in another shorter format of cricket it will obviously be attracting more people to cricket. Honestly, I think the popularity of cricket will surely increase if they do such a thing. But the problem is cricket will lose its basics. Everyone is going to come into the field and try to hit every ball out of the ground. And there will not be much skill required for that. Not taking Riyan Parag's side but his comparison with Virat is bit weird.
Virat opened a inning and sometimes bats at 3, which means he had more balls to face in every match. On the other hand Parag bats at number 6 position and only gets to bat limited amount of balls so it's kinda obvious he's not going to outscore Kohli. Even Dinesh karthik who was in God Mode throughout this season scored less runs than Kohli. I agree that Parag can't be compared with Kohli. But please tell me why this guy is in the team. What is his contribution to Rajasthan Royals? He can't bat and he can't bowl. And he has dropped more catches than anyone else in the team. What makes him so special that he has appeared in all the 16 matches played by RR so far in this season? On top of that, he has behaved quite arrogantly on the field. Remember his reaction after he took the catch of Stoinis? Matthew Hayden (commentator for that match) came down heavily on Parag then. I agree that in every season he plays 1 blinder out of nowhere and then ride full season as freeloader. One could only hope that he'll learn. His behaviour is irritating sometime but what do you expect from 20 yo kid? Or may be we are getting old and cranky at the same time. I think he's an excellent fielder, specially at outfield. He did dropped couple of sitters but he also took fine catches and leading the most catches in IPL 2022 tally . Being a good player is never an excuse for behaving like a dumb person. Genoa - Bologna match has a good fight. Bologna took the lead 0-1 with a classy goal from M. Barrow. Genoa's relegation is certain but they are still fighting well. I think they wanted to give gifts to their fans by winning this match. Because they have a really hot and great audience. This fan deserves better.
I have to say Genoa was really unlucky. They could have had at least 1 point from that match. In the end, they had a really good chance but the goalpost denied them. They had another good chance when the Bologna defense made a mistake and gave away the ball almost in the D box but they failed to score.
